I cannot believe that this ministry could not explain this correctly. The sacrifice of the lamb was symbolic of Christ death on the cross in the future. Cain's sacrifice was based on his works and pride, period. Of course it offended God and was rejected by Him. Cain was giving himself credit for what God had made. He was arrogant and proud and full of himself. Abel was a humble servant of Almighty God and did what God commanded him to do.

If(if) Yahweh created the earth etc. Then yes, he created the plants too, but man created agriculture. There's a huge difference between gathering wild "god created" plants, and tilling fields, selecting seeds, and growing crops. The plants produced by agriculture have little resemblance to their wild counterparts, and this change was/is created by humans. So, if god was offended by Cain wanting credit for his own hard work, then god is a hypocrite. I feel for Cain.

Abel gave the best quality animals that he can give to God while Cain just pick fruits and vegetables that is poor quality. He kept the best quality fruits and vegetables for himself and offer to God what he thinks is the excess on his crops.

Well, if god didn't do this then he had no right to not accept can's sacrifice. If some tell you to bring food to their party and you bring a salad, then they toss it in garbage, and spend all night praising your neighbor who brought meatballs, because salad wasn't acceptable for their party. Wouldn't you be like why didn't they tell me not to bring salad?
The whole problem of god is that its always speculative. Because it is NEVER clear about what it wants. apparently even when god would still directly talk to people, it was still just vague. Sounds like a prick to me.

Actually the binle says that when they sinned they covered themselves in fig leaves. They made their own covering with their own hand. But God saw through their nakedness so he made them clothes of skins. A clear representation of an animal being sacrificed to cover for their sins representing Jesus. By cain working with his hands to present a sacrifice from the cursed ground it was equivalent to adam and eves covering. We cant cover ourselves onlt the sacrifice and blood of Jesus can and abel had faith in the sacrifice to come. Cain trusted in his own works. In luke it explains how the pharisees were like cain trusting in their own hands. The stories are not just stories they are stories of living sacrifices who had faith and others who trusted in themselves and failed

The Apostle Paul gave the answer at Hebrews 11:4. It was because of faith that Abel was recognized as righteous by God. He had faith in God’s promise that he would provide the Seed, who would ‘bruise the head of the serpent’ and restore the peace and perfection that mankind once enjoyed.(Genesis 3:15)
Cain’s was rejected not because he offered the wrong kind of sacrifice, but because he lacked faith. God rejected him “because his own works were wicked”-marked by jealousy, hatred, and finally murder-that Cain was rejected by God. (1 John 3:12)

Cain did know that human came from human, unlike his father Adam who was brought out from earth and his mother eve brought out from rib. Cain gave some other fruits from earth instead of his own life to God. Abel gave firstlings of his flock which is something solid, as Abel knew life can now give birth to life. Abel through faith offered himself to God. Cain, who lacked faith, offer someone else to stand in his place who may or may not be doing things accepted by God. Cain was not sure. He didn't care. He offered them anyway(fruit of the ground).

Then after Abel is killed (likely an accident as no one ever been killed before so Cain probably doesn't know what kind of force is needed to kill another person) God comes and asks Cain "where is your brother" Cain's probably like bruh... first you dis my offering, then after I just killed my own brother (his head is probably all messed up). 2 & 3. Who cares if he gave the offering with pride, he worked his butt off and still shared his crops. God didn't get up every morning and plow the earth, or dig irrigation channels, or check for pests eating the crops, Cain did. Also why does god who does not need the sheep or the crops want either of them to give their things to him. God cant starve to death, so why ask his creations he designed to be able to starve to death to burn (waste) perfectly good food they could be eating.
      4. I don't know Adam or Eve and I'm not responsible for any of their actions. Also fighting is not murder my guy. Also if the idea of murder was planted it was your god who planted it. He created everything, including the idea of, and the ability to commit murder.
      5. The question "where is your brother" is your god pretending not to know the answer and being a passive aggressive prick. We already know your god knows everything, so he knows where Abel was so why bother asking. He also already knows what Cain will answer so why test him? It is impossible for Cain to answer in a way that your god didn't already know he would answer, so asking the question/testing his faith is pointless.

This video incorrectly states that both Cain and Abel brought their offerings “in the course of time”. That phrase is only used to speak of Cain’s sacrifice. Rather than conjecture about what God may, or may not have said, I believe the answer lies in the plain reading of the text. Abel brought the first of his increase, in other words immediately. While Cain brought something in the course of time, in other words, whenever he got around to it. This is the first of many instances throughout scripture where we find the principle of first. God wants our first, and our best to be brought to him. Not our leftovers, when we get around to it. While there may be other reasons that the Lord rejected Cains offering, we do have at least one reason that is plainly stated in the text that is differentiating between the two, other than the fact that they simply had different resources to give.

Abel's offering prefigured Christ, the lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world. Abel's offering testified of his faith in Christ to save him. Cain's offering was unacceptable because it did not represent Christ offering His life to save mankind. Cain's offering was a rejection of Christ. God would have given Adam and Eve the instructions on how to worship. They would have taught this to Cain and Abel. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin (Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:22). This principle was taught to them and passed on, that is why we see Noah, Abraham and the other patriarchs performing animal sacrifices. They were exercising faith in the Messiah to come. The system became more elaborate when God instructed Moses to build a sanctuary to teach the children of Israel the way of salvation. Every sacrifice was representative of Christ.

Jesus sacrificed themselves as an absolute last resort; Not because Jesus wanted to be burned at the stake. If anything; I’d think that trying to “recapture” any sort of essence from Jesus’ crucifixion is downright disrespectful and therefore sinful.

If we read the other accounts of this in Apocryphal books, we then will find out why Abel was more favored by God. He was always doing prayer and fasting with his father Adam, and he was a righteous man. Cain was probably jealous of Abel's relationship with Adam. So Abel was happy to serve God, while Cain has a lot bitterness and jealousy. Cain sacrifice was not pleasing because of his attitude and his heart, and maybe his sacrifice also reflected that. God loves a cheerful giver. Also Cain didn't like that his sister was supposed to be given to Abel as his wife, and Cain is supposed to marry Abel's twin sister who is not as beautiful as Cain's twin sister( who is more beautiful than their mother Eve). But so many Christians don't know about the Apocryphal books, or were told that it's not good to read them because they're not cannon and not inspired, and therefore banned and was taken out of the Bible

Great video and do not let the people below take the wind out of your sails. We all love the LORD and if we only all worked together to spread the word. Below is a few tips on Genesis 4
We all know the story of cain an able, cains offering was not excepted his brothers was and he ends up killing his brother. We might have missed the a few points on this teaching and need to look at it through fresh eyes
-1. Everyone calls this the first murder but it is wrong satan manage to murder us all (Human race) including Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:17 & Genesis 3:3-4)
Use with Your bible (King James) Break down of each verse
Verse 1 - Note it is Eve not Steve that is given to man. Mother of all living - yes we are all family
-2. Some churches has a view that they are twins but it is not in the bible or “biblical”
-3. So Cain was a planter and Able was a sheep farmer. This is why lot of people will think this Is why God has not excepted Cains offering We need to look at Gen 3 we see by the shedding of blood we are covered.
3.1 it is a cursed ground
3.2 it is fruits on his labour - His own works
    -4. Can any one see the clue in this verse? Or something deeper The fat there of - all through the bible we see offerings and the fat they much off had clear instructions on how to make and offer to the LORD - Leviticus 3:15 & 16 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the kidneys. 16Then the priest is to burn the food on the altar as an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma. All the fat is the LORD’s. Able is not just bringing a lamb he is for fulling a requirement they were given instructions how to bring an offering. ( we also remember the Lamb will represent the LORD that has died for us on the cross;
You need to ask your self when you put your offering in at the church how do you know GOD wants it (if the cheque does not bounce the church will except it but is it good enough for GOD) If you have sin in your life or some issues that offering might not be acceptable for the LORD.(ask forgiveness/perpent ) So how did Cain and Able know. Cain where clear upset - GOD visibly received there offer Leviticus 9:24 Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown. Gideon in Judges 6 (same the offering was consumed) Same with Elijah the offering was consumed and there is a few more examples in the bible
End of verse 4 - And the LORD looked with favour on Abel and his offering,
Luke 11:49 - 51 (note verse 51).’Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and others they will persecute.’ 50As a result, this generation will be charged with the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the foundation of the world, 51from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, all of it will be charged to this generation.…
So we learn Able was a prophet, he was the 1st prophet
-5 & 6. Here is a loving Father asking, “Why are you angry Cain”
-7. You mush do wat the LORD ask you to do. Was Cain a sinner (yes) , just like Able his brother. But by Faith Abel’s offering was more rigorousness by appropriately applying the provisions/way GOD provided. It is been said no one will be in hell for their sins but for denying the LORD and the provision/way HE has made for us by dying on the cross for us.. It is works (Cain) verses grace (Able)
-8. Cain kills his brother (No murder weapon it is not a stone or being pushed of a cliff like many churches is saying )
-9. Am I my brother’s keeper - the answer is yes you are. What GOD is waiting for is his conversion & repentance. As there is provision made by a loving FATHER
-10. See: Hebrews 12:24 This blood is crying but the blood on the cross set us free.
-11 &12. He is a farmer the ground is not going to yield a good crop. Why does GOD not kill him an Eye for and eye act. Because GOD is loving and HE is giving Cain the opportunity to turn to the LORD
-13 &14. How many people is he talking off - Adam and Eve had many sons and daughters and at this stage a long time has passed as we see in the next verse they are planning a city. We also need to remember they lived much longer.
-15. The LORD protected him - Please note we do not know what the mark was and there is a lot of speculation in churches
    -16. Cain move
-17. Please not they are Building a city - lots of people. (Joke for the day) - Cain married his siter because he was Able 😊
-18 to 24. We see all the dependence of Cain but please note on most of there names EL is added the name of GOD - there is a possibility that Cain has repented, as his offspring is GOD fearing we will see.
-25 & 26. We have some translations faults in this verse -the apostasy is setting in.( the abandonment or renunciation of a religious) Most scholars agree on. You have a great day and again thank you - thing is only going to get worst and as brothers we need to help and stand together

Genesis 4:4 says that Cain "ALSO brought of the FIRSTLINGS of his flock". So that dispells the narrative that some people believe that Cain didn't offer God his best. He did. Secondly, the Bible tells us in verse 4 and 5 that God had "respect" for Abel...and his offering and unto Cain, and his offering He "did not respect". So we see that the respect God had unto Abel was first attributed to him because of the person he was and the offering was secondary. Respect is defined as a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. So there was something about Abel that God admired more then Cain, and it was shown in how God recieved their offerings. This isn't an issue of offerings or worship, it was an issue of the hearts of these men. The bible even tells us that God came to Cain and spoke to him (v6). God asked Cain why was he angry and why his mode was downcast. And God explained to him why things were the way they were and warned him, saying (Genesis 4:7) "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him." So Cain clearly was not "doing well" in God's eyes and God let him know when you do well, you're accepted, when you don't, sin is waiting at your door and that desire will manifest. And despite listening, Cain proceeded to give into his sinful desire and let his anger of not being accepted by God and his jealousy of his brother's right standing with God, lead him to committing murder.

Who cares about sacrifices and offerings to a being we've never seen. All that tells me is that they were trying to seek approval by seeing who could offer the greater sacrifice. A form of ego. All they wanted was acceptance. Which is very human. Who knows how hard Cain worked for those crops... The blood, sweat, and tears to create such a thing. To judge someone's deeds based on how big or small, is a sin in my eyes. I'm glad the bible is just a book of tales. Basically one of the first forms of mass communication.

Later in the New Testament is a verse that says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness and that the wages of sin is death. I'm pretty certain that God requires a blood sacrifice for man's sin. In the first covenant he requires an animal sacrifice and in the new covenant he offered himself ( Jesus). Also we see the shadow of God giving Adam and Eve animal skins to cover their nakedness.

At 2:04 you state Cain could have remedied his unapproved offering "because God offered him a remedy." To the contrary, Cain was unable to remedy his disapproval of God, even by God offering him a remedy, which is why it is written, to prove that invitation alone isn't sufficient in self sanctification. Cain is the first ensample written of a Lover of Self who refused to allow God to reign over him, that's WHY God offered him a remedy, even knowing that Cain could not "humble himself."
Clearly the Lord knew Cains reaction before even offering Cain a remedy.
Did the Lord know where Adam was when He called in Genesis 3:9
"And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?"

"In process of time," reads our false version, "Cain brought of the fruit of the ground, etc." (Gen. 4:3). "At the end of his days" is the true rendering, i.e., at the end of winter, on the night before "the Beginning" of the New Year, which was at the vernal equinox. At the end of winter, then, " Cain brought of the fruit of the ground" - "thorns also and thistles," i.e., the dreary and desolate earth - as an offering unto the Lord (summer). "And Abel, he also, brought of the first-born of his flock," i.e., Aries, the first of the summer constellations. Thus, we see the two brothers, winter and summer, met at the spring equinox. "The Lord had respect unto Abel and his offering" (Gen. 4:4). Of course; and the Lord (the summer Sun) was right, for who has not respect for the seven fruitful months of summer (Abel) over which the Lord presided, and their rich and precious gifts ‘(“But unto Cain and his offering (the dreary and desolate earth), he had not respect."

The Bible did not write every single word, nor everything that happened. He used the word "speculation" which by definition would not be adding to scripture. He also backed up the idea with scripture. It is the same logic behind the speculation that Eve was told also not to eat of the fruit and yet so many say God never told her directly because we don't see that in the scripture. However it is also implied. You have to understand implications because Jesus also doesn't explain every single Parable but expected his hearers to know the stories of the Old Testament along with the traditions and the law. If you just took all of this ancient text at face value without understanding the history, poetry and cultural implications, you would have a very watered down, americanized version. ❤

Incorrect. Cain were not from the seed of Adam. Gen 3: 15 - "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” A woman is NOT created to produce seed, males are. She is the field to which seed can be sown. The serpent was a male as we read his body produced seed. When seed is sown, it could grow into offspring if it was given to a female. Eve was a female, and now we read she HAD RECEIVED SEED. It clearly says there she had seed. The only act through which a woman gets a seed is when a male gives it to her through a sexual deed. Thus Eve here MUST HAVE done a sexual deed and received seed from the serpent with whom she was alone. And just to make sure you all understand, the "serpent" was NOT a snake as it is written in the Bible. What is the Hebrew word used in Scripture for "snake" or "serpent"? If you want to get to the bottom of a question in Scripture, always look to the original language. The word in Hebrew is nahash. Nahash is basically an onomatopoeia. It describes the hissing sound a snake makes ... or other, snake-like monsters make. This second understanding of nahash is brought out by one of its Hebrew synonyms: leviathan. Humans cannot make covenant with a mere animal, snake/serpant. The Leviathan-Serpent in the Bible is not, therefore, a mere animal. It's not a what, it's a Who. The Leviathan-Nahash-Serpent, therefore, is Satan. Also, Satan is consistently portrayed as Leviathan-Nahash throughout Scripture. So no, it was not a snake. Cain was not born from Adam. Abel was born from Adam, and after Cain killed Abel, Cain were cursed and dispelled from Eden by God, and Adam & Eve had Seth, the proper bloodline. So this, ladies & gentlemen, is why God hated Cain. Don't believe me, go do PROPER research. And please don't think you can litteraly believe everything falsely written and added to the Bible. I have a lot more of absolute crap that have been added and mistranslated into the Bible just to make ALL of us humans feel a bit better.

Your interpretation of the bible is WRONG.
Cain was in fact a product of Adam and Eve. If Cain was a product of another being like the serpent it would been a HYBRID human. Like we see in Genesis 6.
GOD was talking to Lucifer( serpent) Because it was Lucifer who was behind the serpent.
Lets see: in every human culture whether it's PAST or PRESENT; they have WORSHIP the serpent or a form of the serpent: Babylonians worship Ninazu.
      Egyptians worship Apopis or Rerek.
Mayan had Quetzalcoatl which is a serpent god.
Why I mention this? Because Lucifer( Satan) disguises as a serpent or Dragon as we see in the bible since the book of Genesis till the book of Revelation.
When God CURSED HUMANS; he also give a PROPHECY: from the seed of a WOMAN and the seed of the serpent there will be enemity. As we know Woman don't carry SEED, but this word in Hebrew is ZERAH(זרע) which has multiple means like: sperm, lineage, offspring, descendants.
So from the descendant of a woman salvation would come.
God was prophesying the birth and salvation thru Jesuschrist.
      Why? Because in Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one MAN SIN entered into the world. Is tru the blood that SIN is carrying.
That's why Mary had to be virgin, and God put his seed in her so the BLOOD OF JESUSCHRIST was NOT contaminated.
The birth of Jesuschrist had to be PURE, without a SIN and without BLEMISH.
GOD is not stupid, that's why in the garden of Eden, God only gave the order to Adam; not to eat from the tree of good and evil.
Yes Eve sin too but she entered in transgression and Lucifer didn't know this. How do we know this? Because Lucifer approached EVE NOT ADAM.
Please tell where does it says that GOD hated Cain?
When Cain killed his brother God in his mercy asked Cain where was his brother? Question: if God is Omniscient doesn't God knew where Abel was? Of course GOD knew.
God was given Cain a chance to confess his Sin and repent, but Cain didn't do it. How do we know this? Because God asked those QUESTION. Where's your BROTHER? What have you done? And in God's mercy put a mark on CAIN. Genesis 4:9-15.
The bible is not of private interpretation, doesn't have CONTRADICTIONS, IT'S the humans that don't understand the SCRIPTURES. They want to understand the scriptures with their human intellect but when they don't understand; they always find contradictions.
No matter how brilliant mind or PhD in literature or any other academic have; IF YOU DON'T HAVE JESUSCHRIST IN YOUR HEART; YOU WILL NEVER EVER WILL UNDERSTAND THE THINGS OF THE GOD.

And guess what, Cain isn't part of Adam's lineage.

Cain killed Abel because Cain was the seed of Satan he thought he was righteous for all the work he did while Abel Sacrificed the lamb it’s literally how Jesus Christ did for all sinners and any one that believes in him has eternal life and those that don’t believe in him don’t have eternal life and will perish

This is a non-answer. God must've provided a list 0:55... Cain must've had no faith, or bad motivation 1:50... Sounds like backfilling plot holes.
God rejected Cain's offer and accepted Abel's because God loves killing defenseless animals and blood, and hates vegans.
But what we don't know is that Cain, spent a season of busting his azz plowing and tilling fields by hand (remember the wheel hadn't been invented yet), all while watching Abel lay back in pastures and let dogs do most of his work. Despite this, at the end of the season, both brothers were so happy that God will be pleased with their sacrifices. Then the big day comes, and God is like "WTF is this Cain?" Cain is crushed and wonders why would God let him work all season for a sacrifice he knew he wouldn't want instead of just telling him to raise sheep with his brother? Or at least let him know to trade some of his wheat for a sheep.
Cain goes to Abel to ask him if he knew that God would like sheep more than wheat? Abel (feeling full of himself just having gotten gods favor) says "Yeah I knew." Cain asks, "Why didn't you tell me"? Abel says, "Bro! I'm not your keeper." Cain is hurt even more, filled with emotion he pushes Abel, Abel pushes back, and the brothers started fighting. In the heat of the fight Cain hits Abel across the chin and Abel stops moving. Seeing Abel really hurt Cain realized he went too far and goes to help his brother but he won't get up. Cain is scared and confused (no one has ever been murdered before) Cain is even more crushed, yes he was mad, but he loved his brother. He figures God will probably help him wake Abel up.
So God comes along and Cain is about to tell him what happened, but out of respect knows to allow God to speak first. God then asks Cain "Where is your brother?" Cain thinks to himself "Yahweh knows what happened, he knew about the wheat, he knew about the fight, he knows everything... Well, if the all-knowing and powerful creator is going to play dumb... Two can play at that game." The rest is history...
This is what happened. Although none of this is included in the Genesis narrative.
How do I know this? Well if you probably have guessed it, I'm Cain. yes that (cursed to wander forever) Cain. It was all a big misunderstanding. I wasn't jealous or had a wicked heart, I was just a man whose feelings were hurt by the people who said they loved me the most, and I accidentally killed my brother in a fist fight. I had no idea that a person could even kill another person. Anyway a lot of people wonder how did I escape the flood? I stowawayed on the Ark and kept alive by eating dinosaur eggs (they are not delicious). Well, the librarian's looking at me funny. I know that look. Time for me to get on with my journey...

No. Stop it. People are making excuses for this “God”. Excuse me, the “Lord”. He did both Cane and Esau dirty. Period. And this goes to show, the indeed, man wrote these parables and allegories.

Cane and Esau are of the flesh they put trust on their works they believe that they deserve to be seen as righteous because they worked hard while Able and Jacob trusted on God and that’s why it only by faith alone on Jesus Christ that we are saved not by our works

lol Well by 1:01 it was very clear this video is a waste of time... YOUR concept that God must have instructed them on how to worship but it's just not in the bible doesn't make one lick of sense, OR BOTH CAIN AND ABEL, WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHY GOD WAS DISPLEASED. Your premise flies directly in face of the clues in the bible itself. The truth is you don't know. The fact is, you are using circular logic to support a faulty conclusion. It's a coping mechanism for when people don't know the truth.
WE ALREADY KNOW THAT GOD WAS DISPLEASED, BUT WHY, IS THE QUESTION. WHY IT WAS DISPLEASING TO GOD. Your answer is empty and shallow. And you've tried to support that by shifting narratives and talking around the point to disguise how empty this video actually was, of the answer to the very question you asked.

God was displeased because the story doesnt work if god liked both offerings then there'd be no motivation for cain to kill abel.

@@andrew_stamps That's as close to best answer or truth as anyone has come so far. ;) Either something, or many things are missing from the story/book, or it's just a test to see who is aware enough to ask the question, at least.
