Sometimes the emotion of music is held within the lack of it and how it's supressed. Keosz's "Before the End" and Enmarta's "Nekrosis" (especially "Nekrosis") really stands out for me during rough times and these were the songs that pulled me through even when I lay down to sleep .... I can hear the songs in my dreams. Wonderful all round mix by SKRIKA ... he must have read my mind.
I will always be eternally grateful for the invention of music. Every piece of music ever written, stems from life's experiences. Whether it's an instrumental that makes you feel a certain way, or the lyrics of a song that help you relate to a time in your life. The first track has that perfect theme like you’ve been betrayed by something, that’s what the sound is giving me, like you’ve been believing something for years and years and years and then you realize that you’ve been lied to by something monstrous and ugly and evil. which is interesting because I recently stepped out of Christianity after learning so many things about the Bible, views against women, among other things and then living almost 15 years believing in certain things about paganism and the occult and thinking these things about them, and then when I read the Bible I learned just how ugly the Christian God really is and I’ve been living a lie all these years, and that paganism is about peace and love, and after converting to paganism I felt so much more clear about it, and I had this video playing on my flatscreen today and this song was on just as I was contemplating my transition and it just fits perfectly, especially considering my anger and resentment at being betrayed and lied to all these years
The first track is very unpleasant to listen in headphones. One of the sounds can be heard only in the left ear, it's annoying. The rest of the music is great though, well done as always.
