im thinking of getting one for 1500 euro's. is it a better buy then a new macbook pro 15 inch Air? does it slow down anywhere? im planning on using it mainly for editing en photoshot as i want to start an online business.
@@ArthurBrassart Not that good, but not as bad as a 3-year old windows laptop. I still go to university without carrying a charger. Planning to getting battery changed next year.
Here is an owner of the m1 14". Best computer ever, and I don't see any reason to change it in some long time. In my opinion, the m1 apple is the best tech investment I have done.. ever. 16 or 14, I think it depends on personal needs. Top of class machine (And I am not apple's fan boy)
I just bought a used 16 inch base model & it is a huge jump from m1 air 13 inch.. I decided to purchase the macbook pro 16 inch today becasue I think it is the right time bacause the price is going half of the bnew one but the performance is almost the same as it is when bnew.. the screen in amazing & the speakers is much louder & better than air m1 but the air m1 also has an amazing speakers..
Managed to find it used in mint condition for 1200$, I’m loving it so far and I’m glad I went for it as I was considering the 15 inch m3 MacBook Air but could only afford the 8gb variant. This will definitely last me longer and the screen, speakers, and build quality is far superior
I agree will keep my m1 pro 16inch until apple upgrades the Macbook pro to Oled screen, 4k front camera with ,FaceID, upgraded speaker and maintains the same body size and shape and another enhanced cooling system as their Chip advances.

I use the m1 14 pro and got it refurbished from Apple, so I can say for sure it was definitely worth the money. I use it for my videos all the time and can say it’s way better than the setup I had before. Screen is nothing I’ve ever seen for the price I paid. The only thing I don’t like about my laptop is the battery life. Which isn’t horrible but it doesn’t last 8+ with continuous use. But it’s not too bad for what I use it for! But tbh I don’t think that’s much of an issue with the 16 inch you have since the 16 inch version has a huge battery! So tbh this MacBook is definitely worth it in 2024 IF you can get a good discount. And it’s more than enough if you don’t do video editing!
Yes, I'll be holding on to mine for the next few years. I did, however, need to get a Legion Slim 7i (Gen 8) for a "comparable" premium experience (minus battery and speakers), which can actually game. Plus, I like to keep my feet in both worlds: MacOS and Windows.
Bought a MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max last September, 64GB RAM 1TB SSD. Because it was an older model I got it a 1.000 Euro cheaper than list price. Its a really great machine. Love it. it has a 10-core CPU and 32-core GPU. For the money i spend I could now buy a 16" M1 pro with 12 Core CPU, a 18 Core GPU, 32GB Ram and 512GB SSD and stil would need a tick more cash. Both have 16 Core neural engine, and although they are faster on the M3 pro, my M1 has double the memory which is important for Neural Engines.
I found one of these bad boys locally for $850 - 16 inch. i am meeting up with that guy today, but my only gripe is that it isnt the space grey version. it is the silver one. LOL. but at that price, who cares.
Hell yeah it is. After owning that treacherous MacBook Pro with the gimmicky Touch Bar and crappy butterfly keyboard. The M1 MBP is just wayyyy better. There’s not performance throttle issues or overheating
@ haha no worries! Nice Video and i mean the idea is really cool! Do you know if there’s a real leather option? I just don’t like ecologically negative products. And for me a product that degrades in a couple of years to the point where it just isn’t good to use and (in this case) loses microplastics probably, just isn’t it. A leather product will last you a lifetime 🤝
saw a lot of videos about this macbook pro m1 pro and i had to say its probably one of the best one's i have saw..
Yes, it is.
m1 pro is the one best laptop owned . Still is awesome for 2024. I can use it for at least 10 more years .

@ macbook air slower in some applications like premier pro. If you are a pro buy pro
I had a 2012 15” pro i7. In 2020, I bought the 14” M1 Pro (1 TB). I think it will last until 2030 easily. What a machine.
Have the same machine. It's a beast 😍
I have the 14” with same configuration. It’s a great machine. Still snappy af.
Amazing😀 How is the battery life on the 14"?

You can also fine-tune a Mistrel 7B Instruct model on this with the 16GB configuration.

All Sillicon Mac’s with the M series chips in them will be worth getting till atleast 2030 in my eyes, they age so well
do you advice to buy 1TB M1 or 512GB ?
1 TB 👍 I have it
sir, is this worth it for someone who just do browsing, music, and watching shows/movies? I don't do coding nor do photoshops.
Of course, you will enjoy its great screen, and good performance in every day tasks!
@@ArthurBrassart Great, thank you.
The “My MacBook” link you added is for M3 MacBook Pro.
I have that one and I’ll keep it until an OLED MacBook is released.
Me too! ;) BTW Apple Intelligence works just fine on this M1 Pro Machine

I got the 16 inch base model very cheap as well (also with tax deduction) so 21 percent off
