I think I heard that Leonard’s don’t skive their cover edges, hence the fold over showing on the outside? And if you wanted a bit more body to the cover, you could past a liner onto the back of the cover to hide the fold over thickness.
I've never seen "BOXING" on a paste down liner, @ least NEW ones. So how is it NEW bibles with a paste down liner can avoid the "boxing"? I'm confused, because you said you didn't do them that way because you "weren't good" at doing that type, but in MY opinion, if you end up seeing the whole edging all the way around on a rebind with what they COST, then THEY'RE not good at it.

Just received an HCSB rebind from AALeather. I love how they do their liners. Never seen anything like that.

It seems like some folds are cleaner than others in rebinding...What makes the difference when you fold over?
