Very informative. But sadly I can’t touch most of this food as I have diverticulitis and IBS. I’ve found that nuts and seeds irritate my tummy quite badly and anything that leaves bits in your mouth irritated too. So for me it’s foods like beans because of the outer bit on beans, oats, and even the tiny weeny seeds in bananas. Please can you consider doing this but for people with my condition. I also have GERD 🥺 so I’m having a mare atm. I’m definitely going to avoid eating meat twice a week 👍🏾. These vids have also helped to confirm my good habits too. So 🙏🏾. I’ve subscribed and am hoping you can help 🤞🏾. Happy New Year to you and yours btw 🤗

Do the plant sterol supplements work? I’m vegan and already eat most of the portfolio diet inclusions but my cholesterol has risen as I age. 10 years ago it was 140 but now it’s 190 (I’m 70) I would rather not use the margarine and I don’t eat dairy. I bought a supplement to try.

Plant sterols and stanols certainly have a lot of research to suggest they work. Aim for 2g of plant sterols or stanols daily. Here is an interesting page by the British Dietetic association with further information:www.bda.uk.com/resource/food-facts-plant-stanols-and-sterols.html
