Radiolab Live: Apocalyptical was recorded live in Seattle in November 2013.
Reggie Watts is such an incredible talent, the stream of consciousness and music is so continuously entertaining, what a funny guy! I thank you Reggie for bringing your soulful imagination to the party, you are inspirational. Peace, love and harmony to all the people of this wonderful planet upon which we allow fabulous free form artists to flourish and succeed. I bless you all. I love you all. All is forgiven. All is well. It's all good. Safe.
dude hell yeah
Personally, there's nothing I love more than getting good and high off some really nice sativa...then improvising songs/riffs/chord progressions/melodies/rhythms...for hours on end. Reggie's entire set is all about that. It's amazing how interesting and creative his ideas are. Must take a lot of courage to improvise in front of a bunch of people like that. I like how around 13:09 Reggie realizes the lyrics he's making up are kind of lame/absurd. He seems to laugh to himself at how silly it all is. But...he never stops and goes, "wait...that wasn't right. let me try again..." He just goes with it...and makes it work...turning mistakes into inspired moments. What a musical genius this man is....
his opening with the elmo voice had me in tears
Reggie, you know you are good!!!!! Thanks Russell Howard for making me aware of you!!!! You need to join him this year 2016 at LATITUDE FESTIVAL.... Howards already confirmed on the line-up Reggie, come on fella, shake a leg!!!!
Genius as always
9:55 soundgarden. Love Reggie.
no one knew the song.
Reggie is awesome
i fucking love him
4:41 The lickkkk!!!!
Enamored, in love..Just can't get over the laughing so hard I get ugly cry face..Then I turn somber but grounded and tethered into Reggie in a way that confuses my whole being.
Reggie is a person...
More person then person!
Sometimes I find it hard to believe....but you're right, he is!
7:30 this is a whole vibe
I cant stop watching the beginning, hahaha that voice
7:30 so perfect
4:41 the lick
One, does not simply get...Reggie Watts!
watching this at 1.25 speed is pretty cool.
Holy shit
Oh good, he wasn't super high this time. I like how he's cutting them short in this performance. That way, they don't get stale like they sometimes tend to do when they drag on for too long. Great great.
When has Reggie _ever_ gotten stale? Even when high....he knows when something has run it's course. His mind seems to operate 10x faster than most minds....and he can tell when something has run aground faster than the audience can...in pretty much every case I've ever witnessed.
@@avedic Yeah, I don't know what's that about, Reggie is the opposite of stale
Too bad he wasn't at the Chicago show, but Kurt was also very entertaining.
What in the world is that small white keyboard with the pastel colored knobs? I have been looking for that for a couple months, but I have no idea what it's called :|
***** it is a sampler, it's also a wavetable synthesizer and I saw the press kit for it last year. it's super awesome, but boy they didn't make it easy to discern the brand from a production shot >.
***** yeah, lol. shit happens. thanks for participating though! I'll let you know exactly what it is if I find it since it's so damn cool
ah, haha. I'm a musician, so that rarely actually works on me lol
If I am correct, its called the OP-1 by teenage engineering, basically a portable synthesizer/controller. Hope that helps! :)
YES! Thank you very much!
Where's this at?

How do I even describe this guy to someone who’s not witnessed him?
You can't. Reggie can be experienced...but not described.
I'm listening to this in the background while working, and I keep missing the joke he makes after 2:45. I went back at least 5 times and I still haven't heard it.
Perfect boring announcer voice!
I think there's a cat on his shoulder and he wants him to run
