I just started VR racing and it took so long to get it working well at all. I'd love to be able to see the game look really pretty with the graphical improvements without feeling like I need to spend $5k on a computer to run it.
@HeyArnoldRJ i dont know what headset you are using but im using a primas crystal light it looks amazing but my i9 14900kf and rtx 4080 super doesnt handle native res at 90 hz
@@wesleyjansen232 Quest 3. Link cable looks garbage with terrible frame rates. Air link the same. VIRTUAL desktop is the only way I can run it above 50fps. Looks decent now but I'd like more. I have the 9900K and a 4080S. So I know my CPU is part of my limitations.

You understand stuff that is continuing to be upgraded is eventually gunna require you to upgrade? I never understood this train of thinking. Well gee the game ran fine when I bought it why keep making the game better!!
I am completely missing why bump start is so exciting. To me it seems like it's just a new audio effect? I know it's supposed to actually be simulated in the drive line, but in the end it just seems like a new sound. Someone please enlighten me why this is something cool :)
The reason nobody drives them is because how unrealistic they are. These cars irl are like ice when on cold tyres but have a tonne of grip once heated up. The cars currently in the game are like driving on ice when cold and hot that’s why they suck. I think the Porsche cup and current Supercars are the worst cars in the sim bc of how uncharacteristic they are to their real life variant.
@@lsfdesigns9060The porsche cup got reworked in July and two real drivers got involved in the rework: jeff giassi and laurin heinrich. Two super quick iRacing drivers, and two IRL porsche cup champions (and Laurin is a Porsche Factory driver). iRacing’s current porsche cup is the best in the industry, better than the RF2 variant (according to Heinrich). Still no perfect, but it is like night and day compared to the pre-rework car.

Every update is a cosmetic update attempting to make subscribers think the sim is getting more realistic. When, it is not. AMS 2 with its most recent update 1.6.2 has significantly closed the gap on physics. Although the front is now a little too slippery. It's been two decades or more, and the physics are still a long ways from driving a real vehicle. That said, it is a simulation of binery 1's and o's after all. to your question: Acc by far (Assetto Corsa Competizione) leads the field in physics. Indicators are that Asstto Corso EVO is built on the ACC physics engine. Bear in mind, that fan boys are the fiercest when they are iRacing fan boys. The objective answer is: The sim you enjoy and play the most, is the sim with the best physics.

Until iRacing dumps it's physics platform iracing will continue to lag behind on the physics of racing. Another typical BS hype job by iracing.
