Heard you guys on the college radio station in rapid city. Went home to california and fell for a girl who adores you guys and even resembles Brianna. It added a deeper meaning to your music. Deeper in a way I've never felt before. You and her were the trigger to me pursuing writing and singing, and I would be content if I wrote a song remotely as powerful as this one. I started off 2 years ago liking muse and alt rock, then started to listen to Metalcore. Then in late 2016 i found my favourite band of all time: Citizen, and now I've found these guys. Their really is no nudity, drugs, conflict. It's just pure art.

Nah, if anything that section is references alcohol (liquid courage) but just as a coping mechanism. The song is about trying to escape problems/emotions but ultimately failing. Also "breathing in slow, breathing out and letting go" could be smoking or just a breathing technique to try to calm down or grapple with the emotions/problems

This album disappointed me, it fell out of my rotation really quickly. This and guardian are the only songs that have stuck with me. Still excited to see them live though.
