A short cut to #Rawlakot and #BanjusaLake from Islamabad and worth watching beauty of the route and another evening of autumn, all is contained in this short video. To my surprise, I observed the road so clean without even a single ditch except a 15 km journey just before entering in Azad Kashmir and that patch of the road is under construction too.
The journey was awesome full of nature's art at every corner at every turn. In short, a short but beautiful journey with a beautiful destination just at 3.5 hrs drive from the capital city.
Rawala kot is such a clean and lovely city or it was the lockdown in Kashmir that was keeping it clean. 18 km after Rawala kot, we reached Banjusa lake, an artificial lake located 6500 ft above sea level and forested with pine trees, came into existence in the era of Benazir Bhutto. A retaining wall to hold the water flowing from mountains shaped into a lake with a provision of cleaning/flushing the lake whenever required.
Couple of hotels and rest houses are there at the lake for overnight stay but rest houses need to be booked in advance.

بنجوسہ جھیل اور اسکے منسلک سارا علاقہ بہت ہی خُوبصورت ھے ایک وقت تھا جب ہمارا اکثر اَنا جانا رہتا تھا اُٹھ اکتوبر کے زلزلہ کے بعد میں ایک این جی او کیساتھ کام کرتا تھا جو میڈیکل سروسز مہیا کرتی تھی وہاں کے مُستحق افراد کو مُفت ادویات دیتی تھی میں تمام مریضوں کا ڈیٹا کمپیوٹر میں فیڈ کرتا تھا میں نے کُچھ سال بڑا اچھا وقت وہاں گُزارہ ھے وہاں کے لوگ ہماری بہت عِزت کرتے تھے اور کئی دفعہ ہماری ساری ٹیم کی دعوت بھی کرتے تھے اور شادیوں میں بھی مدعو کرتے تھے ہمارا سینٹر کہو کوٹ جِسکا راستہ کھائی گلہ سے اندر َجاتا ھے تولی پیر اور علی سوجل ہمارے قریب تھے بہت سی یادیں مُنسلک ہیں کشمیر کیساتھ I would never forget that precious moments I spent there.

Panjaar is also a lovely place and Banjusa of course. Rawalakot is such a clean city I wasn't of this view before visiting it.

Excellent documentary video. My suggestion is kindly a day trip of places to visit from isbd or rwpd to a near by spot. So that at 9pm be back home May be explored. For busy friends who can plan such day trips on weekends. Best of luck an smile always

Yar I have been this place 3 years ago .ppl threw lot of garbage in the lake ,the roads were also in very bad condition .sorry to say very bad experience .govt haven't done any thing for tourists attraction ,infrastructure is in very bad condition.
