I have been looking at the hole when putting for some time now and I love it, no thinking of the mechanics of the stroke. However anything over 20ft I generally look at the ball as I sometimes miss the centre of the putter (slightly) due to the swing length!
Was this round before or after lunch? Given the really excellent food and wine to be found where you're playing this game, it's difficult to judge whether this is an morning or afternoon round.
BTW Ray did 2-putt that first hole. I guess that is the benefit of de-greening the first putt. Edit: OMG! The shot tracer to the moon nearly made me fall out of my chair laughing!! 🤣🤣 Poor "Pocket Ray"!

Tried it briefly while on the putting green before my last round. It was intriguing and I may have to try it more when I have time to really practice.
