Matthew 24 is talking about the second coming not the rapture
“Just as in the days of Noah” describes a time where people will be caught completely unaware of anything occurring out of the ordinary. Does the return of Christ at the end of the great tribulation sound like people will be going about their normal lives? Of course not. The statement I was referring to pertains to the rapture. Matthew 24 talks about two different returns of Christ: one IN the clouds (for believers taken up in the rapture v36-44) and one ON the clouds (at the end of the 7 years of tribulation for every eye to see v29-31).
