I can hear hints of some Marisa themes like Magician's Melancholy and such, but like with Reimu the song feels less impactful since it'll also basically be middle stage theme, hope both Reimu and Marisa get solo themes as well.

You know what, this guitar part 1:31 reminded me of the guitar part from another song: A Shadow in the Blue Sky from Frontier records 0:56 on youtube channel Lichte3. It's just that such a musical technique is very pleasant and impressive. Hopefully ZUN will make more rock or music with vocals.
I will say while I criticize their themes for sounding a bit nonspecific(not sure if that's the right word?) I notice both Reimu's theme and This use leitmotifs or soundalike portions that I quite like (For Reimu's theme the beginning piano part or the main piano I guess you could call it definitely follows the same notes as Spring Lane Colourful Path except faster with a more upbeat piano)

I don't know if this will be her theme in the final game since it was used for the Story Mode last boss regardless of who was fought in the demo, and the name of the track doesn't seem to match Marisa particularly, but I already like it more than Oriental Dark Flight. Good stuff.
Oriental Dark Flight took forever to get to the point, something ZUN clearly learnt his lesson on when making this theme, even if it's only temporary. And I'm saying this as someone who likes Spring Path ~ Colorful Lane, which has a similar reputation to Oriental Dark Flight.
@@Hijiri_MIRACHION I think that was partly as ZUN puts it in the notes for PoDD (PoFV's predecessor) he makes the music style to fit the game, and with the phantasmagoria games rounds could drag out forever so the music has to be longer, seamlessly able to loop and not super intense (there's a reason Seiran and Nazrin's stage themes were used instead of their boss themes like Youmu) He said something similar about his tracks in the TasoFro Fighting games
Good song but feels a little "standard" ZUN, overshadowed by The World Is Made From Cuteness which is instantly going on the list of best touhou songs.
Composition is better than the Reimu theme and I like the strings but it desperately needs a better arrangement. That guitar does not sound good and the cymbal sounds out of place.
Well, after give Nazrin, Seiran and Aun theme 2nd listening I came to like them. However, for Reimu and Marisa while their theme still good, I still hope for them to have different track. Compare to 3 other character and to their own classic track, it really unimpressed.

This theme really shows marisa's aggresive side, really as if shes a beast
loving all the offbeat melodies in this game so far
They make all the tracks have a very rustic feel, fitting for the creature theme of the game tbh
