Back in the 50s my family would make popcorn and cranberry garland and after Christmas we would hang the garlands outside for the birds to eat. Beautiful and creative Christmas decorations. Wishing you peace and blessings this Christmas season.
Oh MY!!! Such "TALENT"!!!! I have never seen anything like you have done, your decorating is sooo authentic! I mean I grew up in the 60's and I can relate to all you have created. You are sooo young to understand the past like you do!!!! Hats off to you girl! ❤️❤️❤️
My Granny used to have one of those silver trees with the rotating color wheel. I always loved it. I also love the ceramic trees with lights. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. I miss all my family so much!
Thats "IDEALS" ....booklet/ mag. So nostalgic..my precious Granmom got them not just for Christmas...i have hers now...they wher in our coffee table grown up...🙏🙏😥😥🎁🎁🎄🎄She worked in at Coxes department Store in Ft Worth..Texas...❤❤she worked thr 17 yrs never missed..loved it ...then in high school sis Kim & i worked in Gift Wrap" that Christmas.....such a great time the music...the beautiful wrapping..ALL SEASON...yes we. Had tensle..& garland..i have all that now....love your video.& little angels...love
Remember so much of that, especially the real glass ornaments and the various ceramic figurines…I love those♥️. Love the look of the figures used to create the textiles, cards, etc. always so sweet looking, unlike the ones now.
Very nice. I have a lot of my mother's old ornaments. Brings back a lot of memories seeing your house. The tinsel they had, into the 1960s was actually a thicker heavier tinsel. It would hang very straight. That was dad's job. He would spend all day getting it just right. I believe the old stuff actually had lead and didn't have the static the new stuff has. Of course they banned it for safety. My parents are long gone now, but Christmas time, when I bring out the old decorations it makes me feel they are near. Especially when I use Mom's old copper cookie press. Sure the themed trees decorators do are gorgeous. For me the vintage stuff brings more joy
I was at my grandma's,me n my sister, would stay through Christmas vacation....no thanksgiving, bright n early my grandma would start the unboxing ,my grandpa hauled everything in,🎅🤩🌈🦄🥰🥰🥰🥰🎄🙏❄️❄️❄️thanks for sharing,,crazy thing I'm 52 n this year I was like only pinky girly stuff, also 2022 we had our first baby girls, after 4 grandsons, I'm loving my pink /magenta,mint greenish,n electric blue, pop it neon key chains, mermaid dollar tree,Barbies, both races,I'm just having fun ,thanks for sharing

I have watched a ton of Christmas house tours and you are the first one to have any tinsel on the tree. Yay!!! I put mine on mich thicker as I love the reflection of the lights in it. I use gingerbread in kitchen and Victorian in living room. Those are the main rooms that are heavy with decorations. Other rooms are decorated but not heavily.
I'm glad I just found your channel. I love vintage christmas...all the new purple and black christmas decor isn't me at all!! Your decor is beautiful , great memories....thank you !❤✌️🙏
Iam a vintage lover also.your home for Christmas is beautifully decorated.I bought a 1940ish style bungalow home with beautiful hardwood floors.even though I have been renovating for 20 yrs.ihad to put my special vintage spin to it.sometimes ,the world can be so bias in decorating style thinking that African- Americanwomen especially or people! dont know anything about vintage style. Nevertheless , some of the most beautiful homes were in Harlem New York in the 1940s and still is today.I moved from New York back to North Carolina after my husband died on active duty.i lived in a brownstone style apartment, while station in NewYork.so there are so many coffee table books showing beautiful Harlem &vintage style home in NewYork,NewOrleans, and Savannah. Ilove your kichen.ihope your family had a wonderful Christmas a nd will have a for coming blessed New years.
I collect Santas, and Christmas trees 🌲 & Shiny Brite ✨️ ornaments & whatever catches my fancy. Also bowls to display my ornaments in. I love hunting for these special Christmas finds at flea markets & yard sales, garage sales & speciality shops ( only sometimes they charge more). I love tinsel garlands & reproductions & antique Christmas postcards or greeting cards. I'm 65 now & I have bern collecting for years. Sometimes I have to thin out my collections to make room for better pieces. I have a beatiful ruby glass bowl with a wavy gold trimmed edge that was one half price in a going out of business shop sale. I love that bowl . I used to have a reproduction red cast candy dispenser on a stand which I filled with green & red balls. I mo longer have that .

Just found your channel. I have gone through all your old posts and have enjoyed them very much. Your choice of vintage items are just what I happen to like also. You display things in such a way that is so welcoming and homey. I also like your ideas for diy like the ornament wreath or displaying vintage Valentine cards on a string with clothes pins... Thank you for taking the time to share your talent with us. Look forward to more videos.
(This is Tom, not Sandra.) What a great video!! Do you have one already made for this year's Christmas? I love all of the classic 1950's and 1960's Christmas decorations you decorated your rooms with!! In my opinion, the 50's and 60's were the best decades for decorations, ever!!! Thank You again!!!!!! Have a blessed Christmas and a great New Year, Mam!!!
This just brings happy tears to my eyes 🥲I miss my Mom and all the beautiful vintage decorations we would put up during Christmas. You have so many of the same ones we had. I was a child during the 50's so this brings back such wonderful memories. Thank you for preserving these beautiful treasures. 🥰🥰🥰 Merry Christmas to you and yours, Your little one is a beauty 😇
I absolutely loved this...it reminded me of when I was a child going to my grandparents house for Christmas....thank you for being here and sharing this with us dear....Merry Christmas 🎄❤️🥰
What a beautiful home. Perfect blend of modern, mid century and mid century modern! Love the decorations and love the paint colours you have on your walls. Thanks for sharing!
The first ceramic Christmas trees were made in 1948 by Holland Molds in Trenton, N.J. the most popular were made by Atlantic Molds, also in Trenton, NJ. You have trees from each company. They were made by home ceramists. Your display looks much better under your beautiful mirror.
Your Christmas decorations are stunning & I absolutely love your green couch! That style is my absolute favorite- I’m trying to talk my husband into finding one! 😊
Very nice home tour! It really does remind me of my childhood. I was born in 1961. All of my aunts, uncles and grandparents had similar decorations. I have very few decorations out this year so I am enjoying yours very much. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄
You’re home and style are so beautiful! I’m a vintage lover/collector also and it’s always so fun to see young women who are vintage lovers, too! Loved it all! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Also, my Granny said when my mama was a toddler, she wanted bubble lights. She said my Grandpa was bed-ridden and they didn't have much money but Papa told her, "Go get that baby some bubble lights". My bubble light messed up and I haven't been able to find them. Thanks again for sharing.
I love the way you decorated! I can remember having lots of tinsel when I was a kid and we strung popcorn and put it on the tree! I think mom did dried oranges, but I can't remember. I know that I have in the past mad the orange pompadour. I loved the smell and we have usually had a pan on the stove simmering with cloves, cinnamon sticks and orange and apple peels. merry christmas to you and yours! xoxo
Such a beautiful home and relaxing tour with your very vintage décor! I really enjoyed it. Your daughter is adorable and you looked so pretty! My hubby and I love vintage everything too. Thank you for sharing! I just found your channel and subscribed ;-) Merry Christmas to you all! 💚❤💚
Love your Christmas home tour, Will you be posting more videos during the upcoming holidays this year, It looks like it's been awhile since you've posted anything?
Beautiful home tour!! I loved everything about it - so cozy, nostalgic and just like stepping back into the 1940's and 1950's!! This is how I decorate as well - I grew up in the 1960's and 1970's, great era, however I think I should have been born in the 40's or 50's 😁!! I am really tired of the "Boho" decorating and the "Modern Farmhouse" decorating - so your decor speaks to my heart! Wishing a very Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!!
What a beautiful home! I love all the decorating you did, and i really loved the shiny brights on your aluminum tree! I wish we had a cute home to do all of this. We live in a teeny time three room apartment with zero storage space.
I lived through that time and now know how blessed I am to have had the experience, it was a wonderful time to be a child✝️🙏🏻
kudos for sharing the scriptures, God bless you @Proverbs 3:5-6
Back in the day when I was a young girl we had ornaments just like that. Beautiful tree.

The vintage reindeer are super cute, everything is beautiful, vintage items have more detail and personality than newer stuff.
