I had bought these gold leaves quite some time ago for another dessert I had in mind, never used it at all. Now you've gave me an idea to use it on cakesicles. I'll be making these for my friends baby shower. There very easy to make and doesn't take up too much effort and time for it to come together
The gold leaf added that extra GLAM! These are gorgeous. So so excited that I found your channel. Good luck with your future endeavors! Bien hermoso tu bebe 💓 Please do a video showing how to make more pastries ! Maybe a collabsible chocolate heart!? 🙃
I just found your channel and think you are doing a great job. You make it look pretty easy. I'm horrible with chocolate, I make a mess, can't seem to keep the chocolate melty for the whole project, horrible at getting chocolate in a piping bag, etc. I still try and come out with nice results but it is always such a project for me. I don't do these things often which is probably why I make such a mess and have a hard time. Two things I've learned. I don't like using the wilton chocolate because what I mention above. I usually use a higher quality chocolate which helps but it is still a pain for me. Next I use the Wilton Candy Melt-n-Decorate bottle. You might alread know about it. I can melt the chocolate easier. If I feel that the chocolate is in danger of hardening I can throw it back in the microwave. I can pipe out the chocolate easy and it comes with 2 tips but I believe you can use other Wilton tips. The only draw back is that if you have more than one color that you need to melt it is easier to have a bottle for each color because the bottle has to be completely dry when you melt the chocolate. Thought I'd throw that out to you in the case it would be helpful. 😁 I'll be tuning in for more videos. BTW, your little boy is so stinking cute! Edited: I forgot to mention that I'm not a fan of the Edible Gold Leaf. It looks like someone tries to pull the cakesicle off of some gold paper and some paper stuck to it. I can see it being used to look like a gold nugget though. Just my 2 cents as you had asked to comment on thoughts for that.
Even if my chocolate hardens in my bowl I just pop it in the microwave. It neverrrrrrr stays melted while I finish my project. I pop it back in the microwave AT LEAST 4 times. Lol but that’s okay! I’d say to just keep practicing whenever you have some free time (and patience) and it’ll keep getting easier for you! 💖
You made this look so easy 😭 lots of great tips and I’m so happy you cut into it to see how it looks from the inside - very helpful. Could u make a video of your whipped frosting
For cake pops if people only want 1-2 of them would you still make it?? Because I know you’d end up with extra cake.. or is there a minimum amount that they have to buy in order for you to make them?
@@SweetSunflowers ooo okay haha thank you!! Bc I would see some ppl sell 1-2 cake pops like 😳 do y’all eat the rest bc 🥴🤣 (me not having a big sweet tooth😂)
Girl I wish I watched this video before I made an attempt 🤦🏻♀️ cuz when you explained bout the getting the edges of the mold thick enough it would of saved my life 😂😂😂
Thank you for this helpful cakesicle video love! they seem easy but sort of hard at the same time haha but you broke things down and inform some facts I didn't even know! ❤️❤️
I do the same steps as you where you say to reenforce the sides after freezing them the first time. But for some reason the first layer on the sides breaks off, showing the second layer. Does that makes sense? I’m not sure what is causing them to break, they don’t look bad or show the cake, but I don’t like the look of it. Do you have any tips on how to fix this? Thank you! Loved your lesson 😊😊
I remember that did happen to me once when I first started! Maybe when you put your first layer on the sides it might not be thick enough and that’s why even after your second layer it breaks off because it’s thin? Just a guess 🤗 lol
Hi there! I want to know how much do you charge for the bigger cakesicles. I guess the regular ones! I think 3 each for the mini ones is a fair price but I don’t know what would be fair for the regular sized cakesicles. 🤔 and do the customers pay you in advance or the day they receive their order?
I do $4.50 for the bigger ones because they are significantly bigger and use up a lot more cake mix and chocolate! I do a deposit of half their total at least 2 weeks before and the other half is due when they pick up their order!
Thank you for being so honest with your viewers! We really appreciate it! Oh yeah another question, where do you buy your white chocolate? I tried looking for putatos carat but I couldn’t find it.
In the microwave! Mine used to not stick to the mold either and I realized the chocolate was still too warm and not tacky enough and that’s why it would just slide right off the edges. You can see in the video that once my chocolate was tacky I’d get a popsicle stick (or a spoon, or anything of yours choice) and id bring the chocolate up the sides!
How do you keep your sticks from moving as you unmold them? I have the same mold and when I filled the cup, I stuffed the cake in and then inserted my stick. Then pressed down again to make sure it was tight and compact. When I unmolded the cakesicles, the sticks just slid out. I was thinking of coating them with chocolate when inserted, just like you do with cake pops, but I've yet to see one tutorial doing that, so I left it. Help?
I reinforce them with chocolate chocolate after I take the mold out of the freezer! Because the chocolate is cold from the freezer when I reinforce with chíllate it sets super quick so the chocolate stays put. If you do this and it’s still sliding off it may be that you put too much frosting in your cake pop mixture and has made it become greasy thus making it slide off the stick.
Great video sis! Gorgeous cakesicles! I’m not big on gold leaf I don’t see the hype so I don’t use it much. Have you tried the tube circle (yeah I have no idea what it’s called🤣) mold to make cakesicles? They are cute also.
Thanks again to Ana Luisa jewelry for sending me their two beautiful pieces 😍 don’t forget to check them out here 👉🏼 www.analuisa.com/Marisol
Omg! That baby is so cute!!
Omggggg look at the babyyyyy

This looks so good, I’m definitely gonna try it!

Pls make a video on how u do ur frosting!!! It’s so hard for me to do🤦🏻♀️
What kind of melting chocolate do you use?
How long do you leave them.in the freezer for? When putting the first chocolate
So pretty! Thanks for the helpful tips💗
Thank you so much 💕
Do you have to wet the brush before using the gold leaf or the brush is dry?
Hi is it just whipped cream mixed with cake crumbs or some flavour added?
Hi, did you wipe the mould with alcohol first to make them nice and shiny?
You made this look so easy 😭 lots of great tips and I’m so happy you cut into it to see how it looks from the inside - very helpful. Could u make a video of your whipped frosting
Beautifully explained 👌👌👌
In white chocolate you put gel colours or liquid colours
You have to use specific candy color! They have to be oil based and gel or icing colors are not oil based and will break your chocolate
This is amazing! 🥰 For the store bought cake box, how much do you use and how many can you make? Thanks!
How far ahead can I make these for an event ? What is the time frame on storing them ?
What chocolate did u use? How do u melt is so perfectly?
Ghiradelli chocolate is really good!!
For cake pops if people only want 1-2 of them would you still make it?? Because I know you’d end up with extra cake.. or is there a minimum amount that they have to buy in order for you to make them?
There has to be a minimum of a dozen!
@@SweetSunflowers ooo okay haha thank you!! Bc I would see some ppl sell 1-2 cake pops like 😳 do y’all eat the rest bc 🥴🤣 (me not having a big sweet tooth😂)
Perfect 😍
How long do you freeze your cakesicles?
Anywhere from 3-5 minutes! Just as long to make the chocolate solid
How do you store them for a next day occasion? Refrigerate or leave them out. Thank you
I would leave them out as long as their boxed up or stored in a container with lid!
How did you get your chocolate in such a thin consistency to drizzle it?
Girl I wish I watched this video before I made an attempt 🤦🏻♀️ cuz when you explained bout the getting the edges of the mold thick enough it would of saved my life 😂😂😂
Lol trial and error girl! That’s how I learned to reinforce my edges because mine would break 🤦🏻♀️
Hello girly love your work! What chocolate did you use for this order?
Thank you ♥️ I mainly used Puratos Carat white chocolate with a tiny bit of Wilton pink candy melts to give it the slightly pink color ☺️
This is so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this helpful cakesicle video love! they seem easy but sort of hard at the same time haha but you broke things down and inform some facts I didn't even know! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot that it is helpful for some 💖

How long do you put it in the freezer for after the first layer of chocolate x
I’d say for about 5 mins! Just enough for the chocolate to harden
Are your cake and whipped cream homemade or store bought?
The cake I made with a store bought box 🤪 lol but the whipped cream is homemade ☺️

How much do you charge for the mini cakesicles?
$3 each with a minimum of 6 ☺️
This might be a weird question, but can you mix any colour at your chocolate? If not, what is the other option?
Yes you can!
How do you melt your chocolate, mines wouldn’t stick to the mold

How far in advance can you make these?
Id say you can make them a week in advance if you’d like, personally depending on how many orders I have I like to do the day before or same day ☺️
what chocolate do you use? yours looks super creamy and smooth!
I use ASM (Semper) White Chocolate Ganache! That’s why it’s also so creamy because it’s ganache and not just pure chocolate ☺️
Very nice

Thank you ♥️ I sell my mini cakesicles for $3 each with a minimum of 6

I’m pretty sure I know exactly which ones you’re talking about! Lol it no I haven’t... YET 😉
Sweet Sunflowers can’t wait to see what you come up with when you try it.
Omg!! I can’t get it to work for me. Am so frustrated. They keep breaking on me, or chocolate set up to quickly on the back and look ugly!
Don’t give up and keep trying 💕 practice practice practice!!
Congratulations to you
I wish I had seen this video before. My edges were too thin and I over filled it so the I could see the cake and my edges broke.🤦🏽♀️ well now I know
Can you make a candy apple video
Love your videos. You seem so sweet! ❤️
Me personally, I don't like the gold leaf. I don't care for how it looks. I prefer drizzles and sprinkles and cute stuff like that. But that's just me
How much do you sell this for?
She said 3 dollars for one with minimum 6 per order
Hi dear👋💕
Oh my goodness I love your baby I would me munching on his cheeks lol
