Because in this game 1) there is no reason for civilian to claim they are detective 2) detective will always claim to be detective So if a spy wanted to adopt the strategy of claiming to be fake detective, it is better if the real detective spoke first, so you won't kenna the real detective. But that depends on luck, so alternatively you can choose your spy partner to be your "pretend civilian" cause that would be safe. with the exception that "spy teammate stupid sabo spy friend", or "detective read hand signal wrong" then the above rules dun count. but these two are usually unlikely to happen.
