The story telling about parents not understanding what streaming is and thinking they gonna be basement dwellers, that hits any asian, middle eastern, and any other kids/teen/young adults heart really hard. Having asian parents myself, I wanted to start streaming but my family was like "stfu and go to college, that shit aint gonna get you money and your not gonna get a life." Although I agree with not being successful in the first couple of months or years but in the long run it will pay off. What I'm thinking of doing is completing college and then start doing my little streaming passion but still go for my real endeavours.
It's possible to go to school for something and pursue content creation on the side. Believe it or not, you can go as fast or slow as you want - maybe to really do that plan your degree runs 6 years not 4. There's lots of hidden "knobs" in life totally within the realm of possibility that rarely get adjusted.

Why not stream when you’re not in school, when you’re done with homework, etc. You don’t have to wait until you finish school to start on your passion. Prove your parents wrong so maybe they can talk to other parents that may be stopping their kids from pursuing their passion just because it’s something the parents don’t understand or know nothing about. I would recommend that u don’t wait, don’t just say that you’ll start later because (trust me) time will pass you by and when u least expect it, u look up and so much time has passed you by, u have bills to pay, kids, responsibilities that you’re no longer able to go back to work on what you truly love because it doesn’t bring money like a 9-5 does. Don’t wait because u will regret it. Good luck and I hope you’re able to achieve your goals, hope you’re able to work while getting paid doing what you love.
