Outback Qld - Julia Creek to Mount Isa - Adventure 19

Australia is a vast country! We travel from Richmond, Queensland to Julia Creek, stay at the Julia Creek Caravan Park, enjoy the Julia Creek Swimming Pool, the information centre, park, and play some tennis and basketball. We originally planned our trip to coincide with the Dirt n Dust Festival and triathlon, however it was cancelled for 2021. From Julia Creek we make our way to Cloncurry and spend a couple of nights at the Oasis Caravan Park. We experience another great swimming pool at Cloncurry, check out the town and the Mary Kathleen Museum/Information Centre/Lookout. We then head to Mount Isa for the day. We stock up at the shops (first major supermarket for a very long while) and swim at the Mount Isa pool before driving out of town to stay at a free camp (WWII historical site) for the night. What a beautiful free camp it turned out to be. We are close to the Northern Territory now! Until next time...
