03:57 This bit reminds me of the 90’s band Kings X, but heavier. I just listened to a bunch of your reaction songs and so far this song is the most creative and interesting.
WOW. This sent me down a Xerath rabbit hole and wow I'm so glad to discover this band. "Machine Insurgency" was another incredible track I found by them. Cool band
The drummer and guitarist have formed a new band called The Enigma Division, just released a new album 👌 I think you'll love it, it been very well received so far 😀
Fantastic album. I even love the second Pentakill album some of the members worked on, it has some awesome vocalists on it as well. My favorites from this album are prolly this one, "Veil" for the musicality , "2053" for that awesome riff + Devin Tonwsendish voice brutality.
Not sure about concept album man as there’re no repeating themes across it, though there are instances where some songs kind of bleed into the next (there’s even a 2-part song to close out the album with no vocals other than choir-like in the first part!). However, there are a lot of moments on this album where it goes HARD AS HELL, but it grooves and has an almost… serpentine nature across the entirety of it! Also, one of the highlights of this album is the addition of a live string quartet - previous albums had synthetic strings, but this album had an actual quartet, and it sounds SO good next to those guitars. Ironclad is probably the heaviest track on the album (but that’s also up for debate as 2053 immediately following I Hold Dominion goes EXCEPTIONALLY hard after the proggy nature of I.H.D, but in and of itself it’s just one of those “stanky from start-to-finish kinda tracks!).
In an interview of which I have no link (sorry), the members stated that they were going for a vibe not unlike Strapping Young Lad. This concept album is the third in a trifecta that critiques - and perhaps glorifies - the war machine's ultimate conquest and obliteration of humanity. Nothing is subtle in these recordings. The execution is brilliant even if it's based on a tired concept.
Xerath is amazing. Sad the band isn't around anymore. But I love all their albums.
Devon Townsend vibes
Funky and groovey. Nice song.
This is awesome! Thanks to the person that requested this🤘
You're welcome! This was just an introductory song. They have a great library.

King's X are amazing!
Cool to see someone give Xerath some attention. Very underrated band and all of their albums are great. I would say this is one of their best tracks.
Miss this band!!

Ohhh yeahhh, Machine Insurgency is pure insanity from start to finish! 🥵
