It's time to revive the best of the school cafeteria in your own kitchen. Tune in, learn the secrets, and enjoy these mouthwatering recipes that will transport you back to your school days
    Cafeteria Noodles
    12 oz bag Egg Noodles
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 Carton Low Sodium Chicken Broth
    1 tbsp Better Than Bouillon
    1 Cup Water
    5 tbsp Butter
    Black Pepper to Taste
In large pot, mix broth and Better Than Bouillon and bring to a simmer. Add egg noodles and cook 5 minutes. Stir in cream of chicken and continue cooking until tender. Stir in butter and let melt. Add in cooked chicken or veggies if desired.
Bacon Egg & Cheese Casserole (Serves 4, if doubling, use 9x13)
    1 Package Crescent Rolls
    3 Eggs
5 Slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
    1 cup Shredded Cheddar
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 cup Heavy Cream
    Salt & Pepper to taste.
Preheat oven to 375. Grease 8x8 baking dish. Roll out 8 crescent rolls and lay in pan. In medium bowl, whish eggs, milk, heavy cream, and salt and pepper. Stir in cheese and bacon. Pour mixture over crescent rolls and bake 25-30 minutes uncovered or until crescent rolls begin to brown and egg mixture is completely set.
    Lunch Lady Brownies
    1 cup Sugar
    1 stick butter, melted
    2 Eggs
    1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
    1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
    1 cup Flour
    Frosting-
    2 tbsp softened butter
    3 tbsp milk
    2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    1.5 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9x9 (or 8x8) dish with parchment paper. Spray with cooking spray. In medium bowl, mix together butter and sugar until light yellow color. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add in cocoa and flour, adding half of each at a time, mixing after. Pour brownie batter into dish and bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out "not wet." Do not overbake.
While brownies are baking, prepare frosting by mixing all ingredients. When brownies are finished baking, let cook 10 minutes. Then, spread frosting all over brownies and let cool.

When I tell you that I have never clicked so fast. Maybe I’m a weirdo but I actually loved school lunch in the 90s lol also, I grew up in the south and those brownies (or at least something very similar) were brought to every single church potluck. I absolutely forgot about them until just now, but they were such a staple in my childhood. So happy to finally find a recipe!

If using broth for the chicken noodle dish I would skip the bouillon. I balked when you put that all together that it was going to be extremely salty!! Or skip the broth and use water with the bouillon. Melaney from SoCal

5:15 I make this dish since I know how to cook, was one of my first meal I did alone when I was learning from my mom I was 8 years old I remember like today I was so happy to cook all by self supper for my family. I remember I have cook pork chops in the oven with a box chicken bake and with a casserole of butter sweet carrots and with a Cesar salad my dad favorite! I was sooooooo excited oh my. I still do this dish today and I'm over 50 but the only thing different is the addition of a brick of Philadelphia cream cheese with a little milk in and I don't put the paste bouillon but add 2 green onions cut in small pieces and I finished with the add of fresh cut parsley in with some lemon zest and a splash of fresh lemon jus !!!! Sooooo good! Thanks to you!

About the big cookies you had at school, were they Monster Cookies? We used to make them but put M and M’s in them instead of the chocolate chips….used a number 16 scoop to dish them up….don’t put very many on a cookie sheet…maybe like six cuz they are HUGE! They need room to spread out while baking! Enjoyed the video!!
