IRL Pheobe's roommate Monica was the one who actually talked her into the big wedding. There was a game between the girls, whoever said they didn't like the person they were dating and gave some details would be made fun of by saying 'okay, you're getting married, you're madly in love with each other'. Then a wedding was held for her. A broom with a handle was dressed as if it were the groom and while the others played along with the music, the bride had to stand next to the broom as the teased bride. Only Phoebe's wedding was not held. Because she didn't like the happiness imposed on TV or in newspapers or in fairy tales. Monica convinced him while telling fortunes with playing cards. They were asking all the stupid questions because they had no wishes to keep. Monica's wish was for Pheobe to marry in a big wedding. There was a lot of debate, like it can't be a single fortune telling, it has to come out at least three times, at least three times in a row etc. Pheobe lost this struggle that lasted for days, and Monica convinced her about the big wedding. Their Monica died of cancer 10 days ago. She did not talk about this issue with any of her friends during her illness, she did not meet with them. She believed she would win, but she didn't. His last words;
She told Rachel that she did not want her husband, who wanted to divorce her when he had cancer, to come to her grave.
“I will get better and we will have a wedding again,” she said to Dennis.
