Wow. A sub I haven't seen for years. I got a pair of Danner 8" Lookout about 9 months ago and wear them for daily duty. They are probably the most comfortable footwear I have used.
The biggest difference between the Light and LIght II isn’t the little cut of leather. The Light is on the 650EE last, the Light II is on 650 last. It’s a noticeable difference in fit/width. Hate to troll, but you should know this if you’re going to be doing reviews.
Hey Kraid, I need some much needed advice and hope you can assist (or anyone). Did your pair start out with excess material (leather or gore-tex) on the top/instep of the boot? I just picked up a pair of Mtn Light II (black) and it seems the extra material digs into the top of my foot making it uncomfortable just wearing them around my apartment after a couple hours to test them. Does this go away after break-in, or are these just not for me? I also have a naturally wide foot and they are definitely snug out of the box. Will these stretch to comfort, or stay tight around the foot? There's only slight heal movement, so I assume once broken in they minimal movement will go away? Thanks!
Aloha! Without seeing it, "excess material" makes me think it might be a manufacturing defect and possibly worth trading it in. I did own the MTN Lights once, but felt like they were too tight in the toebox. A rep that helped me at the Factory store in Portland told me that he wouldn't have recommended that model to me for that reason. He said it works for some people, but not all. Lastly, I'm like you, I sized down half a size to prevent heel slip. I find that using the airthotic insole helps alot with that. It does result in the front part of the boot being tight, but I have found that this breaks in over time to be really comfortable.
@@GenKraid just found one my size on Japan auction for 200. What a break! Also picked up danner light northrup and danner light uptown rangers all three same week
In love with the suede and black leather light boots 😍😍😍

Hello, what did you treat your lovejoys with? I’m hesitant to shine mine because I don’t want to mess with the gore-tex. Please let me know. Thanks!
