- Billy is trying very hard to do everything on his own, and I respect that. However as a father, so can tell he’s exhausted and feeling overwhelmed. So Vicki and I decided to try and help get his engine fixed for a big race weekend.
Y’all just watch the video when he puts the correct length rod in the engine. Looks like a lot of us are going to learn something.

Dear Bill.
My family and I have street raced our whole lives, my grandfather had a 32 ford he raced in central Indiana and Dicky was well known for winning.
My father had many cars over the years but the one that stuck with me was this 65 SS Chevell 454 big block on Nitrous he done well in Indiana as well as Kentucky.
My first truck at 14 was an 87 S10 with a 383 I built and finished at 16. But the truck I would race latter on was a 93 GMC step side with a 502 on Nitrous.
Now my dad and I we butted heads so much that it came to blows at times. And the ol man would show me why he was big dog in the house I'd get my ass kicked.
Latter we would go years without speaking because of my wild lifestyle of drinking, being in an MC, and going to jail even threatened with 5 to 10 years in prison.
That all changed when I had a son, I knew then what fatherhood was like.
So I turned my life around, got right in life for my son to have a good example to look to, and eventually made peace with my father.
I stopped drinking, wild nights, and left my MC.
Not long after my father passed away, I'm currently building one of his old trucks. It' hurts so bad every time I touch it because we could have built it together if we would have let the bullshit between us go like men.
I miss my dad and I'm ashamed that my son does not have much of a memory of his grandfather.
What I'm getting at is time stops for no one, I hope you and Billy can get past whatever you have going on before its to late.
The pain and regret I'll curry till me and my old man will regroup in heaven is the worst I've had I just hope he forgives me when we meet agian.
And the risky business of street racing anything can happen I've buried to many friends.

I get it Bill, and by no means am I telling you how to run you and yours, not my place to tell another man how to run his household. I hope you pick up on that.
I was just saying I hope you two come to a better common ground one day.
Like I said, Dad and I always had racing, and everything I know came from him, and one day, I'll pass it to my son if that's what he wants.
The old man just didn't like my lifestyle choices, and I get it now, but I also had to travel that road to get it.
But I wish we could have found a ground we both could stand on now that he's gone.
I hope Billy understands that as well because I sure didn't, and I'm paying for it now.
All dad wanted was me to live the potential he knew I had and all I wanted was to stand like a man in my way even though I was acting like a child. That misunderstanding led to 8 years of not speaking, and by the time we did, it was too late.

I commented yesterday on Billy’s video that he should holler at ol dad if he was able to find the rods and ask you to help throw that motor together. Some guy replied that it was a “Bill free” channel and he didn’t need the drama. My reply to him was that his relationship with his dad was way more important than any race or motor. And that sometimes working together doing something they both love just might be the ticket for a start. You don’t realize how important that is til u don’t have a dad around anymore to have a relationship with! Thanks Bill. For showing the world that a dad will do for his kids no matter what the situation is! Total respect!

I'm a little surprised Billy didn't notice the piston' being to low in the cylinder after installing the first one. He'll remember to check piston to deck height next time for sure.
