It was a nice little test, bro. I think you are testing correctly, there is no smell of lies. In fact, I dare to risk that you are fairer than the larger benchmark sites and channels. As I thought, in the case of older processors, there are few games within a generation where you can notice a difference between I5 and I7. The big channels obviously advertise how much better the I7 processors are in order to buy them. 20% differences in all benchmarks. At Intel, there is truth in the 11-13 generations, even the I9 can have an advantage, but 10%~ max compared to the I5 even here. Not because of the core numbers, but because these processors get more hardware sizes. I don't know how it works between Ryzen 5 and 7, but R9 is faster because they usually get much more cache size. The games that use ht are useless if the single-core performance is the same. For those looking for an increase in performance, changing sockets is the best option. Even with 4-core processors without HT, in most cases the minimum fps will be better if you have an I7 instead and the game takes advantage of the HT. But there were 1-2 games where the fps was much better. I'm in the exact situation of using an old I5 3570 processor next to a recently purchased RX 6650 XT. And I thought about buying an I7 2700K, 3770/K processor. But I wouldn't think it would be worth switching to them because I would get almost the same result. If I had a Z motherboard, it might make more sense. Micro lagg is the only thing that makes me think about it in new games because of the 4 threads. But my future goal is to replace the current socket with AM4, LGA 1200 or possibly 1151v2. In the case of Am4, I could get by cheaply with a Ryzen 5 1600X processor. I was looking at used Intel I5 9600 or I3 10305, 10325 processors at a good price. LGA 1200 I3 should be used, because this is really far behind the 10400, the situation is different with I3 processors. But they definitely know the level of the I5 9600 and it can be improved for that, of course, only with a motherboard that supports the I9 11900. This test proves I5 is enough for gaming. Nvidia reacts worse to bottlenecks, I would look at them even with a similar amd card, although I think we would get the same result, let's say. Like and subscribe! I hope that other tests will arrive and it will be fair. Are you in a similar situation to me, having to drive the RTX 3070 with an I7 3770? Or else it's normal Cpu?
Sorry to say this, but there IS smell of LIES. A 3470 should be 3.4Ghz on 4-core boost, meanwhile 3770 should be 3.7Ghz on 4-core boost. Those 3.5Ghz on both CPU definitely is NOT A TRUTH! Especially not on a H61 motherboard as listed...
