jungle and dnb for me. New DnB all sounds the same though. Have yet to find any modern day DnB that separates itself from the same constant sound like from back in the 90's and early 21st century :p
iim currently working on a mix that had a bunch of old school jungle, trance, and dnb. It's interesting the mixes people make on here that have the "old sound" don't do the old sond justice at all. Currently only stumbled upon maybe 3 or so mixes that were flawless and classic throughout. Gotta know the names, I've Found so many awesome music producers searching songs by name instead of mixes. Mixes dont do hardly anything justice. Except maybe the new retrowave
Listen to pretty much anything from Mewone! while playing this or XGRA and I swear it sounds almost as if it should've been the games original soundtrack. My god...Victim...Ammi.....Chrome...and so many others....oh it sounds so good together!
I realize N64 games such as this were my first exposure to this kind of music and undoubtedly led to my devotion today. I remember I changed the settings so that this song would play no matter which track I raced on-I LOVE this game! subbed!
It has great ambiance and dark vibes, fell in love with the entire soundtrack during 2020's fall. "Lumania" and "Meza Virs" are my favorites as well but I appreciate the whole album for its mood and minimalism. Spot on.
It's so satisfying to learn this game in and out this has to be one of my favorite tracks both music wise and also the race track itself. Always loved the sharp corners.
The reason this level was so difficult was because the glass encasement over the road through the water attached to the road at acute angles, so when you hit the sides, there was a higher chance of stalling or getting flipped around as opposed to other levels. Also the sheer number of sudden turns force you to concentrate, especially if you’re racing with a bike with poor handling. I like watching the mini-sub float by on the first lap of The Abyss.
eschaton had similar problem it was legit bike grabbing walls. i still think hydra prime shoulda been the last track instead of eschaton, they shoulda swapped places. i had a harder time in hydra prime then any other track, and the music was just perfect. it still haunts me, i love the music i can hear it if im not playing the game, but if im playing it and i hear this music i get a crazy anxiety.....its the anxiety that causes me to lose so whoever made this music they deserve a million dollars because if i can play it on my headphones and think its the coolest music i ever heard but as soon as i play hydra prime the track and hear this i get this chills down my spine and fear.
ACCLAIM come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they had the best music!!!!!!!! this Turok shadowman and more!!!!!!!!!!! i miss them. I have made a promise to get almost all of their games that catch my eye and thats like at least 90 % of them
man...i always thought this song was the best out of the the xg racing games... the place fro this race was hard though... thanks for posting this song...
Ah. It's "this" track! That little arpegiated ostinato in the back ground centre channel is an LFO Through Square wave. It's pretty impressive. Though the strings really adds weight, as well as the Vox patch. But the trouble is it's all very dead centre at times. They should have gone with this more stylistic sound tbh. But this kind of music is hard & time consuming to produce because of sync issues at these speeds can be a nightmare for hardware back then! There's a track on Soundcloud called "The Thrills of the Hills" that sounds similar to this.
Yeah you can say that again! I looked forward to this map because it had this song, but I loathed it because of the tight turns and overall difficulty and lack of flow. Probably one of the toughest maps in the game!
hahahahah OOOOOO My GAWD i so fukn agree!!! i thought i was the only one. i was a freakin monsta at this game but those 2 tracks, i swear, were sent from hell! i would have to beast the entire game so i could afford to place 4, 5, or 6th on these tracks, smdh. ahhh, Good Times!
I 'member playing this stage on its hardest setting. I could either pull far ahead to first place or stay in 4th or so and watch all the other bikes destroy each other until I was the only one left.
Other setting is play in hard and one lap. Last maps: Hydra Prime, Tox City, Cordilon, Eschaton were too hard to me and actually I have not been able to beat it... yet. I should come back to play the game.
@BloodBrigade This is actually more jungle style. AKA pre Drum and Bass. Not very familiar with the genre other than understanding its principles. This entire game's soundtrakc was basically jungle.
Hey, nice job and five stars. Can you please upload the other tracks in the game? This soundtrack was awesome and I think this is the only we could hear it again!
1:30 - 2:28 lol i had this sillly ass dance i used 2 do when i played this track and this :breakdown came on. i cale it The Hell No You Cant Beat Me dance. smh, lol good times!
Could possibly be someone with a UK accent saying "Yeah, you fool 'em." But I'm just guessing, I can't be 100% sure. I'm open to the idea of it being polish or russian!
@UnWarierMage They're going to need liscenses, escpecially from the comany that made this game. Unfortunatly, they got shut down so it is un-likely you can get a liscense.
@BloodBrigade It's called "DRILL N BASS" but if you want electronic music, PM me your Email & I will give you so much good shit that your ears will explode!!!
Sounds French to me, or Italian. Must be latin in origin but I have no idea lol I will try to find the creator on Twitter and ask. Hope Simon Robertson don't block me as some crazy fan.
Hi everyone, please check out my channel for some XG2-inspired music! Cheers! :)
Can't believe we lived in a world with atmospheric drumnbass on gaming OSTs and we let it slip away
This level = pure evil
This song = pure win
It's still a difficult level
Link?
This game is what got me into DNB d(^_^)b and Always loved breaking the sound barrier
jungle and dnb for me. New DnB all sounds the same though. Have yet to find any modern day DnB that separates itself from the same constant sound like from back in the 90's and early 21st century :p
I know theyre hard to find but always love the classic dnb 😁

Oh yeah braking the sound barrier I surely loved as well....that high tone sound was amazing 😉
Listen to pretty much anything from Mewone! while playing this or XGRA and I swear it sounds almost as if it should've been the games original soundtrack. My god...Victim...Ammi.....Chrome...and so many others....oh it sounds so good together!
You hear that?
That's the future.
for me best track of the game
I realize N64 games such as this were my first exposure to this kind of music and undoubtedly led to my devotion today.
I remember I changed the settings so that this song would play no matter which track I raced on-I LOVE this game! subbed!
badgerzeroeight ay Hows life?
Best song in the game if you ask me... there's alot of emotion in this one.
It has great ambiance and dark vibes, fell in love with the entire soundtrack during 2020's fall. "Lumania" and "Meza Virs" are my favorites as well but I appreciate the whole album for its mood and minimalism. Spot on.
I am completely blessed and thankful 🙏

Agreed. This would even be in my list of top 10 best game tunes ever... along with music from Tekken 5, Rush 2049, XG1, and certain Castlevania games.
The best song of the game
In 2020 before I hit the highway. This is the get away jam
2021 still listening
Awesome! It's really standing the test of time.
Miss this game, and I still have the MP3s of the soundtrack, thank goodness for 'KH Insider Downloads'
Wow this is crazy.. im hearing so many parts of the song i couldnt experience on that old fat back tv lmao i hear the bass in this...
I might be crazy but I think a lot of this song didn't even play ingame so maybe that's why you don't recognize it
ACCLAIM come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they had the best music!!!!!!!! this Turok shadowman and more!!!!!!!!!!! i miss them. I have made a promise to get almost all of their games that catch my eye and thats like at least 90 % of them
i loved this game.. And this music shaped what i listen to now
Indeed, it has been well composed
You're welcome. This is one of my favourites too... all 4 XG games have awesome music.
dat bass! best ost from Extreme G2!!!
man...i always thought this song was the best out of the the xg racing games... the place fro this race was hard though... thanks for posting this song...
multiple missiles, rear fire rockets, best racer ever
Drum & Bass. With a hint of trance.
God, it's so gooood
omg. this brings back so many memories. awesome memories.
Rear-fire Rocket 🥺 #memories
This stage is *CRAZY!*
Memories 😍

Ooooohhh, this game I love it Always when this part came I listened to the song and it stuck with me, but the level was very difficult
Yeah you can say that again! I looked forward to this map because it had this song, but I loathed it because of the tight turns and overall difficulty and lack of flow. Probably one of the toughest maps in the game!
Fucking love this song
My favorite fucking song
Would turn on the n64 just to listen to it
the scariest and hardest track in the game. on top this music fit perfectly. this shoulda been the last track
This is a video game for the N64 but they went so hard anyways.
So many memories
Addicting track!
this sounds so much like the theme of facing worlds from unreal tournament
Sublime drum and bass.
The bike you're driving really makes a difference. Bikes with better handling, like Grimace and Venom, made this level manageable.
Iconic
hahahahah OOOOOO My GAWD i so fukn agree!!! i thought i was the only one. i was a freakin monsta at this game but those 2 tracks, i swear, were sent from hell! i would have to beast the entire game so i could afford to place 4, 5, or 6th on these tracks, smdh. ahhh, Good Times!
One of my favorites
To this day my dreams are haunted by the evil Bike Grabbing Walls. (The same problem that plagued Eschaton)
I have tried listening to such songs as Drum & and Bass... but none of them sound as good as xg2. Memories.
REAR FYRE ROCKETS
“Yeah, you can fool them.”
Nice, I think that's it!
Leifendeth Official I always like that part of this track, it’s a cool soundbite :)
All these years!!!!!
It takes me Back! I wonder if these games can be downloaded onto the Wii or xbox360...
Best song in the whole game.
What does the voice say around 0:54? "Nja, ein bisschen zu lang"? Would be german for "Well, a bit too long"
I 'member playing this stage on its hardest setting. I could either pull far ahead to first place or stay in 4th or so and watch all the other bikes destroy each other until I was the only one left.

Wally Warp
Haha yeah, couldn't agree more. This level used to kick my ass.
I don't remember, found it through a Google search. It might have been Galbadia Hotel.
My Favorite Song On This Game
@BloodBrigade This is actually more jungle style. AKA pre Drum and Bass. Not very familiar with the genre other than understanding its principles. This entire game's soundtrakc was basically jungle.
WHHHHYYYYY did I give my 64 away????? I don't know but I now regret it!!!
Still the best OST in Gaming!
Agreed! This, and Rush 2049. And maybe Perfect Dark.
@@LeifendethOfficial For sure, Perfect Dark definitely makes the cut.
Well it was a good deed to someone else ,so in heaven you might be rewarded with a N64. :)
Hey, nice job and five stars.
Can you please upload the other tracks in the game?
This soundtrack was awesome and I think this is the only we could hear it again!
the only song that played... start to finish
♥️
man i always hated the race place...some how i always get stuck, but with this song... i really didn't care
You're welcome :)
i am so glad im not the only who did that lol
@TheDarkness71 I think you can download this on the Wii Shop channel.
i like the game over track do have that (XG2)
Lumania vs hydra prime: which one the best music?
I'd have to go with Hydra Prime, but Lumania is great too!
kinda reminds me of UT99. Oldschool ftw
3...2....1....GO!
That mistake was made by the game developers, not by me.
YEAH I always thought that too :). It also kind of reminds me of Half-Life 2
what does the woman voice say in this track?
I've never been able to tell... Maybe it's someone with a British accent saying "Yeah, you fool 'em." Not sure though.
I thought it said "do not listen to them."
1:30 - 2:28 lol i had this sillly ass dance i used 2 do when i played this track and this :breakdown came on. i cale it The Hell No You Cant Beat Me dance. smh, lol good times!
No, I own the game, the race track is called Hydra Prime.
I don't think so. These beats sound synthesized.
What is the female voice in this song saying? It sounds like "Nie (something)." Is it maybe Polish?
Could possibly be someone with a UK accent saying "Yeah, you fool 'em." But I'm just guessing, I can't be 100% sure. I'm open to the idea of it being polish or russian!

@Doomsdaywarrior There's a trick for steering. I'm trying to master it.
@Natetendo83 Agreed!
Anyone knows what the girl is saying?
Sounds French to me, or Italian. Must be latin in origin but I have no idea lol I will try to find the creator on Twitter and ask. Hope Simon Robertson don't block me as some crazy fan.
Good job on replying to a comment made 3 years ago
TheCoffee Thank you
