Pat, your channel and Jen's helped me through a really tough time in my life. A few years ago, when I was in middle school, my parents got divorced, and it really tore me up. They were fighting a lot before, and I was a really caring child, so I'd always try to fix things between them before they split. I didn't go to them with a lot of my issues because I was afraid they'd fight again. My best friend also had just moved away, and I had seen her again at summer camp, but she wasn't interested in regaining our friendship. It was the first time I cried in public. Because of everything that was going on, I developed severe depression, and actually attempted once to take my own life. You and Jen were the stable, happy role models I needed. I am getting help now, and have a wonderful therapist who I like very much, and who is helping me a lot. I still watch your videos if I feel like self-harming, to cheer myself up and get myself out of that headscape. Thank you. And if anyone else reading this is like me, just know that it does get better. It might not seem like it, you may tell yourself that you'll be like this forever, that it's just something you have to live with, but it isn't. You can get better. You have to work for it, have to want it, but you'll get better. It might not be today or next week or even a year from now, but one day, you'll look up and the sun will shine just a bit brighter, and you'll be okay. Just hold on until then.
