Just imagine if Yamamoto had gotten Orihime to restore his arm.. he is basically fighting at half power here. I know Yama doesn't want to include humans in the struggles of soul society and all. But I honestly never got why that prevented him from asking Orihime to spend like 2 minutes to heal him while they were already in the same place

@@Uberdude6666 Bankai is a 10x amp to the combat ability of your Shikai, so Yama being 2x stronger wouldn’t have allowed him to beat Royd in Shikai. Especially since Yama made a small cut to Royd’s blut, being 2x stronger would’ve let him cut deeper but not enough to like, cut Royd’s arm off or anything
Plus Yama was rage boosted and resolve amped so perhaps that made up for the difference but we can’t say for sure
@@jocoolshow Yamamoto's power doesn't come from his ability in sword fights. Thats more along the lines of the Zarakis Retsu and Kenpachi.
Yamamoto's sword itself holds all the power, all the north, south, east, and west abilities are all within his blade. Him having a second arm wouldn't make the dead rise faster is what I'm saying.
Yhwach's voice actor is same as Raiden from Mortal Kombat 😆

@@MajesticHero007 Look, let's face it; for a supposed mastermind, Aizen could be remarkably thick. Considering he could take pretty much anything he wanted via his OP illusion powers, it makes no sense for him to make his plans as needlessly convoluted as they were. They just are because otherwise we'd have no story. Yhwach, on the other hand, is far more pragmatic and no-nonsense, using every possible advantage to ensure his enemies don't get the upper hand. He also has a far more personal connection to Ichigo, meaning Ichigo has an actual reason to fight him beyond being the only one not affected by his powers.

Viz dropped the ball not getting a lot of the originals back. It's 50/50 on who's returned and who's been recast.

They actually brought a ton of them back. All of them that they didn’t either didn’t want it or have been blacklisted by the industry. They got all of the biggest ones back. Hitsugaya, Ichigo, Orihime, Zaraki, Soi Fon, and presumably Isshin. Yamamoto also came back from his big moment. Basically the only ones who didn’t have been Ukitake, Komamura, and Shinji. Uryu, too, which will be really important as he becomes a main character. Grimmjow even got teased in the last episode, and David Vincent reprised that as well. The vast majority of characters got reprised.

@@IanTho1 His name is German, I believe. They stopped pronouncing things differently in anime awhile ago. Usually it was because of a mistranslation by giving the literal translation.

@@Shinigami15436 Sub elitism is nothing new. In fact, it had started to die off prior to the dub’s release. I was nearly brought to tears when I saw how many people said that they were waiting for the dub of TYBW. I’m maybe the Bleach dub’s biggest advocate, and I waited the full year between episodes 167 and 168 of the original run. The English cast is unrivaled. It was a completely different story back then. Dubs weren’t ever taken seriously. You’ll always have people like that, but that’s far from the general consensus anymore.
This reminds me of Final Fantasy 6 when that general fights a fake Kefka and wins then the real one shows up and cuts him down.

One thing about the dub that's great among many things, we finally know how to pronounce yhwach after all these years.
It's actually pronounced "Yuhavack" but since Japanese doesn't have the letters for "v" or the sound "ach", they went with "yuhabahah" as that's basically the spelling in their alphabet (kanji i think. Pretty sure its not the katakana one). Basically the same situation where they went "wanderreich" in English dub then eventually realized the mistake and corrected it to the proper pronunciation of "vanderreich". Basically they simply mimic ked the Japanese pronunciation, but I imagine they'll fix that eventually.

@@itsjustvin7630 "Juha Bach" was always a fan translation. Yhwach was always officially his name, we just didn't know at first. But yeah, what mellennia williamson said is 100% correct. "Yuhabaha" is just the Japanese pronunciation of "Yuhavach" but the dub missed that and messed up.

Wait so his name is Yuhaba in the dub, but written Ywach? Whats the origin behind his name
It's basically the pronunciation, tho it's actually said "yuhavack" not "yuhabaha" as the w is pronounced as a v like in German as an example. Japanese doesn't have the sounds for "v" or "ach" so they had to improvise, and the English dub basically mimicked them (probably not realizing the actual pronunciation. Basically the "wanderreich/vanderreich" pronunciation situation all over again. Basically when people were calling him "Juha Bach", before his name was properly revealed, that was the closest to the correct pronunciation.
As for the origin, I believe kubo was trying to base it off YHWH, if I remember correctly.

It’s actually extremely similar (of course, for the characters with the same voice actors, which is most of them). The only person who’s sounded very different to me is Renji. Something about Wally Wingert’s voice, especially in the scene with him and Byakuya vs. that quincy, is… off.

Hope y'all fix the name for the home release. I know it's clearly "Yuhabaha" in Japanese, but that's just because of Japanese phonetics for certain sounds they don't have. I'm sure y'all know that. His written name clearly had Judeo-Christian/Hebraic connotations and should either be "Yuhavach" or "Yuhawach" in English.

All of these terms very clearly skew German with, again, his name very clearly being inspired by the Tetragrammaton (Hebrew name for The Lord: YHWH). In both German and Hebrew, "W" and "V" are almost always the same. This makes since why the "W" is "B" in Japanese, since "B" and "V" are pronounced the same - "W" >"V">"B". "Ch" (International Phonetic Alphabet marginal segment "x") is a sound not really present in Japanese with "Ha" being the closest approximation. So while I'm usually for following the Japanese as closely as possible, this is a case where is should clearly be pronounced differently in almost every non-Asiatic localization. Even if it's met in the middle with "Yuhavacha"
