Our machine has a drill bank unit. L sahpe 5x5 drill series. In rtf file It is been mentioned as below;
"The Bx number can be from 1 to 31 and it is the decimal equivalent
of a 5-bit binary number, with each single bit designating the drill
to be activated. For example:
If number B1 is used (0 0 0 0 1), drill 1 will activate.
If number B2 is used (0 0 0 1 0), drill 2 will activate.
If number B3 is used (0 0 0 1 1), drill 2 and 3 will activate.
If number B17 is used (1 0 0 0 1), positions 1 and 5 will be activated.
When using multiple drills, the code ALWAYS drives the corner B1.
If a single drill is selected the system calculates the proper offset for the
drill used.
The equivalent activation number of the drills desired must be entered
as the substation number in the station tab of the tool definition.
The system should be set to use substations
(tool crib tab of machine definition) if the multi-drill will be used with
multiple stations active, otherwise the substation field is not available.
All use of the boring unit codes H20."
Tool numbers defined as T101 T102 T103 T104 T105 and other axis T201 T202 T203 T204 T205
I am not sure which tool station number or substation number to activate these drill bank tools?

I have a machine that holds both English and metric tools, what is the best way to acomplish this?

Good Video. I have set up my tool crib and assigned 20 stations (the maximum my machine will hold). What do I do with the other tools I put into my tool crib since station 1-20 are already taken.

You could create an additional tool crib with the other tools you have.

What if the tool doesn't exist in the TD? Which is most of the time...

You can always create new and custom tools. they can be copied from existing entries that are close and then modified to fit your need.
