I tried to do the reset and my dell latitude only said the following that this computer is protected by a pass word authentication system, you can't access the data on this computer without the correct password. Type in the administrator password and press enter. So I'm lost here

when installing w10 with usb boot I get a sad face. No iso I can install or linux
uh oooh.... I'm afraid it did not work for me, I suspect it has something to do with Avira anti virus lark. My Latitude D630 turns on ok, but I'm met with a HUGE black square filling 70% of my screen, then it will either keep shutting down and restarting or suggest a repair which it doesn't complete. If I manage to get to safe mode, It won't delete Avira or reset to an earlier stage. The search continues, thanks any way.
I miss the Save/Exit 'button',... now what? 🙂

Try restarting (Rebooting) the laptop, if that fails to solve the issue, you may need to reinstall the keyboard driver!
That option didnt show up after I pressed enter, only exit and cancel, the save didn't show up
