I bought my stolen recoverd BMW M140i from auction a while back now and rebuilt it to look like a BMW M2 hatchback. Now it looks like one i think it was time it performed like one. I try to remap my BMW M140i to make it faster than the M2... But i think we may be needing more than just a remap.

Good to see the intake pipe does absolutely no difference at all. Seen as how I just installed one on my m140 :D
Always fun to see someone going all out with the fuel and turbo upgrades. I don't think I'll ever feel the need to though.. I've played about with my M140i a fair bit though and I think, for the average person, the first (or only) 3 upgrades to look into are 1: Stage 1 tune. 2: Limited slip differential. 3:Suspension and/or Underbody brace. In my opinion, they make the best improvements for the money and together, deliver a night and day distinction over the stock driving experience, which was already pretty decent and good enough for most.
Of course it would've been even cooler with it being an actual "M1½" with the M-engine, but I'm sure the turbo upgrade is gonna rock aswell for way less time spent. 😃

You've made second run without Hannah, and that mostly made time improvement.
393 BHP will be stock with the exhaust. My M140i had 370bhp standard unmapped.
The official numbers are heavily undervalued by BMW, so it doesn't compete with the real Ms. I think the m340i has officially stock 370hp.
So glad you are able to give your remarkable intellect over that intake pipe. BMW spent years working on that intake pipe but obviously should have just asked you.

But I have to say I’m shocked with their dyno results as B58 on stage 2 is always between 450-470 bhp , so I don’t know if they dyno gives lower numbers or their map isn’t as good as others.
Stage 2+ (only upgraded fuel pump on 30% ethanol mix) can give you over 500bhp
Also ,stock B58 is capable of 700 BHP
Tom Wrigleys M240i had 700bhp on stock engine.

Know you made these vids a while ago now but really enjoying the content and going back through your back catalogue on the 1 series cars! Should race the M2 before the hybrid turbo & then again after it’s fitted. I reckon it’s already as quick as a M2 as it’s lighter.
the M140i is definitely quicker than the M2 already, this car's 100-200kmh this will be in the 7s whereas a stock M2C stock is in the 9s.
The 140i is already faster than a M2, the M2 comp is slightly faster though
get an air intake scoop from ebay, it makes a massive difference for air flow
Just a thought but maybe get a vbox for the 0-60s a bit more accurate than a phone app maybe? Love your content!
It’s a dragy which is pretty accurate gps system which is in the car connected to an app

If you change the factory intake for larger diameter pipe then you need to re-calibrate the airflow sensor - there was a recent YTvideo that explained intakes in depth.

Remember that ALL magazines and the Car companies don't actually do a standard 0-60 Or 0-100kmh. They ALL do a roll out run for all of them. Look into it. There are videos on this (check out Hagerty) explaining what they do and why no one in the real world on regular bitumen (Un prepped road) can measure up to their times.

When I had the turbo & HPFP strapped on the best 0-60 time was achieved by putting the car in sport+, knock the gearbox into manual mode, change up to 2nd gear, hold the brake, rev to 3k then release the brake. Where the B58 engine really shines is 100-200kph.
Yep. Looks like he didn’t hold the brake enough as it did a burnout.

On rwd cars the 100-200 times measure how much performance is increased.. like with a map you’ll see a 2-3s drop

Pretty sure its the m2 CS that has 450bhp standard m2 comp has 410 which im pretty certain you would beat in a straight line race now. M cars are about the handing ect. Id definitely look into a wavetrack diff for the 140. Game changer 🙌

I put eurocode intake tube on my A5 with a fat afe filter ( in the stock box ) and that made a big difference. Maybe swap your filter to k&n or afe in that stock box🤷🏼♂️ M1 looks and sounds fucking sick man🤘🏻🤘🏻 crazy for Audi stage 2 tunes you need a lot of supporting mods, definitely wish it was set up like bmw
