Dry Falls New Trail | Waterfalls | Highlands NC

The Dry Falls Trail in Highlands NC has been under reconstruction for most of the 2012 season, but is NOW OPEN. This video walk through shows you all of the new changes and upgrades that have been made to this favorite waterfall in the Nantahala National Forest between Franklin NC and Highlands NC.

Dry Falls is such a great place to visit. You have no idea how much water flows over that thing until you stand directly behind the waterfall where it is super loud and misty. It never gets old visiting it.

Very nice video. My wife and I had gone there several years ago when there were heavy rains around. All the falls in that area were just amazing!

I grew up tubing in that area. This park was not there and you could still go under the falls but on boulder
s. Miss Franklin and the highlands. Grew up on River Rd right next to the River. Good times. Too bad this is concrete now.

The original trail was put in during the depression years, so this upgrade was very much needed.... the extra gravel behind the falls is also a nice touch
