Great video and song choice.... I go to Venice a lot and enjoy using my GoPro but.. Wow, really interesting to see your take on the views / angles of Venice. I love the use of your smooooth Glidecam. Best shot was the view of the mountains with St Marks and the Basilica in the foreground... Don't think my friends in Venice have ever seen it like that. Cheers !
thanks man! I know right?! that shot was made from a Cruise ship early in the morning! the sky was perfectly clear in order to see all the way to the mountains :)
+EduarFilms ahhhh.... The cruise view. Ha !... Great use of colouring in the video... Gives it a nice vintage look - check out a couple of my Venice videos if you can.
+matreyia thanks for the feedback! Yeah I did noticed the washed out effect, specially on people's faces like the girl at the beginning. I came to realize it was caused not only by the LUT I have applied but also by a face recognition feature that my camera has that softens the skin. The LUT just made it more visible because it adds more contrast. I wasn't able to apply it less since there is no "blend with original" option when applying this or something. It was either using it like that or removing the whole color grading, so I decided to use it cause I believe it gives it a more cinematic look than not using anything at all... thanks for your comment though :)
+Anna B. Thank you! I was looking for that mood hence the music and color hehe, I do have a drone however didn't bring it to the trip, the shots you see on the video are taken from a Cruise Ship! We took a Cruise starting from Venice, then to Greece (upcoming video) and then Montenegro (another upcoming video) :)
Great video. Love it. I use a set up like yours as well for my films. Never tried the Tokina lens though - any trouble with glidecam and keeping subject in focus with the manual focus?
+Island Soul Films thank you! Since the Tokina lens is so wide, you basically just set it up to focus to infinity and close the aperture to around f/8.0-11.0. So only if you are trying to focus something closer than 2 meters you'll get problems, otherwise, it doesn't show. And if you are running around with a glidecam mostly shooting landscapes, it has no problems. I only have to worry about focus when I point it to myself or to someone close.
+EduarFilms great. I notice you're using the Sony a 6000 more on your recent videos. Do you prefer it to the DSLRs? I shoot everything with the A6000 too.
Yeah, I have a Canon 6D as well, but I prefer the Sony because of the better dynamic range and the 60fps it gives me on 1080p. The problem is the canon glass adapter I have is giving me some problems and tends to disconnect the lens from the camera more often lately :( but overall I still prefer the Sony for video, and use the canon for pictures :)
+Mr. Keyzar hehe thank you for the comment! I'm glad you liked this video, I did spend some time to make it look as close as possible as what Venice is all about :)
the color grading in this is perfect. it fits the feel of venice so well, the accordion playing, the close up shots, just awesome mate. really smooth too. keep up the awesome films, i really enjoy your work! i make short films about my adventures, recently i made a video showing the beauty of Autumn. stop by my channel if you'd like, cheers! :)
+JustDigIt thanks! by the fog effect I'm guessing you are talking about the color grading? As for 4K, well unless you are watching youtube videos on a full screen then yes, 1080p does look low quality, but as for now most people still don't do it that way and 1080p still good enough quality for the most. Thanks again for your comment!

Very good. Color was a bit weird looking though. Looked washed out.

Very nice video !!! love it ! it's really more classic ) but i think u better reproduced the mood, character of Venice ) u have a quatrocopter ? )
+Anna B. Thank you! I was looking for that mood hence the music and color hehe, I do have a drone however didn't bring it to the trip, the shots you see on the video are taken from a Cruise Ship! +EduarFilms I was in Venice three years ago and it's beautiful :-)
the color grading in this is perfect. it fits the feel of venice so well, the accordion playing, the close up shots, just awesome mate. really smooth too. keep up the awesome films, i really enjoy your work! i make short films about my adventures, recently i made a video showing the beauty of Autumn. stop by my channel if you'd like, cheers! :)

EduarFilms it was my pleasure :) and thank you aswell!
Greag editing and footage. I just don't like the fog effect and 1080p is pretty low quality in these days.
+JustDigIt thanks! by the fog effect I'm guessing you are talking about the color grading? I'm going to Venice in two days and I'm scared of boats I'm gonna die
+Emily Struthers haha don't worry, you don't need to get on a boat to get to Venice and once you are there you can walk around the island ;)
+EduarFilms YAY thank you
