Another channel, made a great point about Kenny. He is so afraid of INT. that he either doesn't or isn't allowed to throw over the middle. Even if the receiver in the middle is wide open, he automatically goes for the sidelines. This is why he is taking so long to read the field. He isn't even looking in the open middle, and is looking back and forth from sideline to sideline to find an open receiver. It takes to long, the gaps close and he either throws it away or gets sacked. This seems to be partly coaching, making him fear the interception. He has to get his confidence back, and take chances. Kenny feels like if he throws interception he'll get benched. They need to encourage him to take some chances and open up his game. He showed he could do it in preseason. I think OC and coaches aren't helping him. Kenny does have to get better.

You look at Ben, hell even Brady, that ball is out in 3 Mississippi's, if the play breaks down 5 Mississippi's and if it takes five seconds, its usually going long. I remember Ben not seeing a guy walking into the end zone but go in another direction--I've seen Mahomes not see a wide open T. Hill and Kielce in the same game but his talents are undeniable so they're brushed off and deservedly so.
Anyways, it would be nice to have some reference material rather than just completion percentage--Allen is throwing for nearly 70% but has 11 INTs while Stroud is completing about 61% with only 2 INTs with more total yards in one less game.

I would like to see Canada flip these In-Breakers to the front side to help Kenny see them better. Backside reads like this are gonna be naturally harder for a young QB to hit. Only the elite guys and vets hit those consistently. Until the necessary coordination changes are made Kenny will not really improve upon this and the game will not slow down for him. Even some vet guys can be late getting to the backside concepts. I'm not sure if KP8 is THE GUY but there is definitely some tweaking that Canada can do to make it easier for him.

This is how the team is built. I'd bet he's being coached to keep the game under control unless he's forced to open up. Regardless of the flaws, Kenny is doing is part as the team is constructed. Cam being out. Minkah now out. Run game taking time to get established. These were/are much bigger issues than Kenny missing open receivers. I tried to say Mason would be our best option because of how motivated he seemed in training camp with Ben out of the picture...and now...they've dogged Mason again. So I'm sure Mason feels slighted and disrespected, but given some time to feel the love for the team again, I think Mason is still our best passer. Hell...anybody can hand the ball off.

Pickett seems to be playing so tight. As if he is so worried about throwing a INT that he refuses to throw anywhere besides to the sideline or a check down to a back or te. The DJ miss down the sideline is so bad. Pickett made up his mind he was throwing it to Warren pre snap and even though Warren was covered he still threw it. Meanwhile, DJ blows past his guy on the go route and there's zero safety help. That should have been an easy 30 yd TD. Pickett needs to start taking calculated risks. The team is best running and only throwing 25 times, but Pickett needs to cash in on some big plays within those 25 atts.

I knew he wasn't - and all these fans that believe Kenny is the one. Please people spare yourself the grief and the bravado with mixed enthusiasm. KP is not the answer - at best he's 2nd string material. But I can't wait to read all the people tell me about the record. Please - Steelers' record is because of a lot of things and it is in spite of having KP as the QB....... Believe that.

His hallmark as a QB has been his accuracy and he has clearly lost that. I think he still gives us the best chance to win compared to Mitch. I don't know why we wouldn't want to rest Kenny a few weeks and give Mason the reigns. Maybe the offense differs that much between Kenny and Mason and this is why their hesitant to bring out Mason?

Kenny’s accuracy has been awful all year. Week 1 could’ve been a way closer game if he makes simple throws and hits DJ for 2 easy TDs that both he threw in the dirt and yards away from the target. He is being consistently one of the least accurate QBs all year. I want Kenny to succeed, but he has been a mess all year and is holding this offense back.

I think he's trying to avoid hits by rushing his reads. A majority of his passing plays looks like he's forcing his passes. Even though he has no interceptions in the past 170 passing plays, he could easily have 3-4 interceptions if the defender didn't drop it.

Yo. I agree but he doesn’t turn over the ball and he makes the game winning drives. I don’t think people understand how important that is for how this team is structured. If we can run the ball that’s literally all he has to do. Look at the guys we’ve played who have made mistakes and lost to us. I’ll take making mistakes protecting the ball and winning. He fits. He’s a clutch game manager. If he can do that while learning to become a better QB. It’s also not a terrible thing if he can do what the team needs and not put up numbers. We will save money.

I can tell you that when receivers start to lose faith in their quarterback, they are not going to run route after route full speed knowing their quarterback has NO VISION. Kenny gets lucky most of the time because he guesses. In the 4th quarter when teams coverage is softer, he can make throws because receivers are open early in their routes. However, he doesn't win in the 4th quarter against real good teams.
