- Hey Crafties! This origami button toy is soooo addictive! I just could not stop popping it) You've already made a ton of origami fidget toys probably so let's make a tiny version of it. It's very-very fun to play with and you can take it everywhere with you. This origami toy is also made without glue.

Hey Crafties! Some of you are facing difficulties with this toy, so here are some common problems you can face:
The box will stuck for several reasons:
1. the box is not folded properly, check if it is folded good, the lines should be straight. If it's hard to make small box properly, please practice at first with larger piece of paper (15x15 cm for instance). If that doesn't help and your boxes are still not very good, you can make the difference between boxes larger, for instance 7x7cm and 5,5x5,5cm or 6x6cm and 4,5x4,5cm.
2. every box has 2 thicker sides and 2 thiner sides. When you put one box into another the thicker side of one box should be next to thinner side of another box. If it's not like this, you should just turn one of the boxes.
3. check the spring - i've made comments at the end of the video to stretch out the spring a little bit if the box gets stuck.

Hi I have advice: if the box is getting stuck and coming out I recommend making a longer string like 11x4 when I done it, it helped alot
It takes a bit of time and reworking, but these buttons really are fun! I made 4 in different colors and I absolutely love them :)

I managed to do it, it was really cool!! I made it to the big one ❤
I checked all my measurements, they were all mostly precise, and when I put the red button with the spring into the blue box, it popped, but only a little bit. That was disappointing, but I'm glad your three worked out.
When I was looking at the measurements I didn't see where it said cm so I assumed it was inches but later on I realized, why is it so much paper for something that's gonna be so small? So now I have a big Button- lol. I still love it. It's a great thing to have around when you are bored. Also I love how u showed and explained everything! Not everyone does that. ❤👏🏼😅

The end of video where obviously going to do it 100 times squishing it it's so fun I love those toys I'm making one right now out of paper it's so fun it's going to be so fun for a keyboard
If you do not have those types of sizes of paper you don't have to buy them or anything you can use a random size but it has to be like the video like not like a really big one just cut it like how big it is in the video using normal/colored paper!
at first we thought it would never work and then we understood it and it worked!!
I really love the dotted lines showing where folds go. I haven't made this yet but it's my next one to learn because my coworker sent me this and said she had to have it. LOL! Hope I can make her a good one.

I think a really cool thing about this craft is that you can glue a whole bunch of these together and make an origami keyboard! Edit: btw this idea was inspired by HS Online Learning's comment.

If the box is stuck and you don’t want to make it agin you can try and remake the spring with cardstock or anything thicker.If it doesn’t stay in the base of the button cut a little piece off and please comment if it works for you since it works for me now but I didn’t cut the papers that evenly either.
I loooove it so much, I even made a laptop out of it

Heyy this was great but it did not work out for me which got me sad but I still loved how it looks and works ❤

This is a fun thing to make when bored and it's easy too! But for me the smaller cube that u press was too big to slide around, so if I removed a flap from the bigger cube it works perfectly!! Thank you!!

@@Pollysorigami like when u fold the trangle part at 3:38 inwards, u instead fold it outwards and use tape or glue, or u can cut it off. tried to explain it better

take your time and you can make a super fun and cool keyboard (make sure to use super glue to connect the buttons and make a cardboard layer under the keyboard or else it will fall)
and glue the cardboard layer :)

You can make a calculator with this get 9 of these buttons with like multiplication and division and you can glue them all to a box and leave some space to show your equation Edit: it’s a toy calculator
Hey Polly! Did you know that i made a button, but 3x BIGGER?! I made it 'cause it was too small...😊 The button has color RED and this box that in this box is a button is GRAY.
I read the dimensions wrong and accidently made it inches instead of centimeters so all of it was 5x5 inch 4x4 inch and 9x4 inch. It actually turned out very cool because it was a big button and probably easier to press. Overall it's really easy so ty

Those who are cutting the shapes from a A4 paper like me: Maybe you should use a A5 paper to cut the shapes out because it is thicker.

My group in Psychology is making this for our final presentation keynote. I've made three so far (1 with construction paper and 2 with cardstock)
For the construction paper it required some fiddling but it overall was very easy to press down and felt light in general. The cardstock is simply more durable and produced a smoother press but it also required more force behind each press. Both good in their own separate ways.
The main problem I have is with the cardstock buttons trying to spring out of the bottom lid.

Made the mistake of using a thick paper so it wouldn’t move but I got thinner papers and it’s worked much better
