The sad thing is Even if Caine remembered the conversation he still wouldn’t get why Zooble is upset. He can’t seem to comprehend what’s eating at them. Caine is a character that goes for the quick solution and doesn’t seem able to stop and deeply ruminate on problems. (Well maybe he tries to but he’s obviously is very limited.)
This part of the episode was interesting because it shows everything that’s wrong with Caine as an AI. He was created to run the circus, and to keep all of its inhabitants happy and sane, but the problem is that as an AI, he is fundamentally incapable of understanding the humans he is surrounded with. He was programmed to cater to their basic needs (Food, shelter, sleep, mental stimulation), but he’s unable to understand the more complex needs of the humans trapped within the circus, and he can only offer simple solutions to complex problems. Zooble isn’t happy with their body, so Caine gave them the ability to customise their body parts, but the problem isn’t that Zooble isn’t happy with the options Caine has given them-They’re not happy with the body itself. The adventures provide mental stimulation, but no one truly enjoys them, and everyone would rather that Caine give them the ability to leave, which he is unable to do. Caine is bad at everything that he was created to do, and when faced with that reality, the very fabric of his existence starts to break down

If he was upgraded and the program is updated maybe he will learn and try to improve his what he is good at a digital world.
Well he got mad at Bubble a lot so this happening had to only be matter of time. Even for an AI that acts more unstable and chaotic, something tells me that with his eyes being separated, (giving me MD flashbacks with Uzi) maybe Caine is two different AI. Working off of two brains rather than one would be an interesting direction.

Guys hear me out. Caine is an AI. But AI can't train themselves to do... anything. They're just the brain that does something with the input it has. They can't learn. A separate program is what trains the AI, tweaking how the brain works. So what if the circus' residents are trapped to serve as Caine's training program. His purpose is to create fun adventures, and the setting is reminiscent of an old point and click adventure game. Let that sink in.

What his Programming says to do. I love the deeper darker parts of the story we're getting, cracks are starting to form. We had the Therapy scene with Caine and Zooble. And the emotional scene between Pomni and Kinger.
Cain may not know how to take care of the humans, but hes trying his best doing the only thing he knows what to do. This also seems to establish what everyones character development needs to be.

The things we learn more about Caine: - He's an AI who was created to bring fun to the people that trapped in the circus, but as an AI, he cannot understand the human's complex feelings. All he can do is some basic things as we see that Zooble hate the body they are, so Caine solve it by give Zooble's body can put and remove the limbs, but the truth may be that Zooble is a self-loathing or other feelings that made them don't be what they be, but yeah, Caine cannot understand that kind of feeling because it's too complex for him. - From the 1st, so can see that it's his only purpose for his existence. If he cannot bring fun which is what he suppose to pro about it, that would cause him an error because he couldn't understand what he be then. That also cause the circus to doom. - He's also created an exit room by hear what the trapped said and wanted. But the problem is he do not know what exit they want and what it should be so that's why he doesn't finish it yet.
Even though Caine is AI, and the digital circus members wanted an exit to escape, he wanted to make his guests happy. Caine always tried to make an exit, yet failed. He dosent have access to the real world, nor internet. He only has access to the digital circus, Kaufmo was the first one to see the unfinished exit, though it drived him crazy.
Zooble taking note of how everyone else feels about the adventures is nice. Just because they’re not participating doesn’t mean they aren’t observant. Also, their comment about Pomni “always” coming back traumatized intrigued me. Zooble has only seen Pomni come back from one, (unless they are counting the aftermath of her own adventure in the pilot), and Pomni didn’t come back traumatized this time. I hope Zooble noticed that.
Caine is my favorite character; he's the most charismatic and entertaining to watch for me because his voice acting is just SO incredible, but he's also the most fascinating to me as well. I honestly feel bad for him, because it's clear that he really does care about the circus members and genuinely does want to help them and wants them to be happy, he's just.... completely unable to understand the intricacies of their psyches and what truly bothers them, and comfort them in any meaningful way, due to his nature. I really can't wait to see him start breaking down/becoming more self aware over the course of the show, and hopefully become closer with the members if he's able to transcend his AI status and gain more sentience. Idk, I just think he has the most potential for fascinating character development, and I can't wait to see it.

You know what I find interesting? When a human goes insane, their body reflects their mind- now a tangled mess- and abstracts. But when *Caine* starts losing it, the whole Circus starts to abstract instead of him. What exactly _is_ Caine?
That's a really good point. Personally, I think he's a human but a bit different from the others, (Like how u mentioned how he abstracts) He may not be a villain. It does mention how Pomni and the others forgot their names when entering. What if Caine was the first human to enter and forgot everything in order to be the master of the circus... Even without that, it is seen easily just by watching the show. In the Pilot he literally freezes for a second and his eyes turn blue with code passing. In this video here, we see his model starts glitching when he breaks which doesn't happen to any other character (Pomni's model was fine when she almost went insane in the office door maze, Zooble's was also fine even though everything around them started glitching). He also forgot everything Zooble said the moment they said "forget it". Very command like. The first human to enter was Kinger, it has been stated he has been there the longest. He is also most likely the creator of the program, because he is the only one to remember things out of the digital circus ("Seven years of computer science for this, huh?"). This job implication further proves that theory.
By the looks of it, Zooble was trying to draw themselves a body when they had the notepad, in contrast to Gangle who was drawing Zooble earlier that day but they had a much more human-based body with seemingly less removable parts
I have a feeling that Caine may be an AI, but an AI based off an actual person who Zooble knew personally. Their dialogue feels like a talk between a daughter and father.

These scenes really built onto the fact that Caine is but an ai, not a human. Unable to understand the humans completely, even though he’s trying his best. But as of what we know of ai, ai chooses simple options (and often screws them up). Makes me wonder if Caine could do our homework.
I can't even tell if Caine is trying, heck, I'm not even sure if *he* knows. But his charisma makes up for whatever that answer may be. It's the thought that counts. Or lack of it.
When I learned this was inspired by “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” made me very suspicious of Caine. Since he could be “AM” But now I am wondering if Caine is also a victim too. Maybe created by this universe version of “AM”
I think I called Zooble suffering from Body Dysphoria a while back. Feels like Caine is offering up essentially new clothes when the problem is the way Zooble feels about her body in general. New parts won’t fix that.
It is interesting how despite being a AI Caine is still doing his best to be more or less of a father figure to Zooble in this instance. This whole interaction is pretty much a father and daughter trying to find common ground to understand one another.

My brother noticed that Zooble is literally telling Caine to 'Forget it'. If Zooble says that during each therapy session, they are unintentionally feeding into the problem by making Caine seem forgetful. More than he already is.
Funny enough. I was originally thought Caine was gonna say all I’m programmed to do when he started talking about all I’m good at doing when the whole place started to glitch. I imagined if Caine said programmed. The whole cirus would cease to exist.

That's a really good point. Personally, I think he's a human but a bit different from the others, (Like how u mentioned how he abstracts) He may not be a villain. It does mention how Pomni and the others forgot their names when entering. What if Caine was the first human to enter and forgot everything in order to be the master of the circus... But deep down somewhere there is something sinister behind it all.

Even without that, it is seen easily just by watching the show. In the Pilot he literally freezes for a second and his eyes turn blue with code passing. In this video here, we see his model starts glitching when he breaks which doesn't happen to any other character (Pomni's model was fine when she almost went insane in the office door maze, Zooble's was also fine even though everything around them started glitching). He also forgot everything Zooble said the moment they said "forget it". Very command like.
The first human to enter was Kinger, it has been stated he has been there the longest. He is also most likely the creator of the program, because he is the only one to remember things out of the digital circus ("Seven years of computer science for this, huh?"). This job implication further proves that theory.
Really love the dynamic between Caine and Zooble, I hope we get to see more of it in the future.
By the looks of it, Zooble was trying to draw themselves a body when they had the notepad, in contrast to Gangle who was drawing Zooble earlier that day but they had a much more human-based body with seemingly less removable parts

These scenes really built onto the fact that Caine is but an ai, not a human. Unable to understand the humans completely, even though he’s trying his best. But as of what we know of ai, ai chooses simple options (and often screws them up).
Makes me wonder if Caine could do our homework.
I can't even tell if Caine is trying, heck, I'm not even sure if *he* knows. But his charisma makes up for whatever that answer may be.

My brother noticed that Zooble is literally telling Caine to 'Forget it'. If Zooble says that during each therapy session, they are unintentionally feeding into the problem by making Caine seem forgetful. More than he already is.
