They are totally my fave too. Bunker & cabin stories are the best. Something about the isolation of it all, and ingenuity needed to survive. One of my faves of all time is the one that the magnificent narrator "Creepy Ghost Stories" wrote himself a few months back, a the 6 hour one (whose name escapes me atm) where the dude is stuck in the base with the monster, holy crap that was so good!!

For me these " Cabin in the woods" or "Experimental- Site- Accident / Strange -Hospital/ Mall " themed ones never get old, but my actual No 1 is the Ancient being walking the streets on Halloween one, or is it the grandson - grandfather killing supernatural beings ? My list of favourites gets longer and longer to the point I no longer find what I'm looking for when I search for a specific one....^^

Oh I loved the ancient being dude, because he's swearing up and down how his kind don't care about the feelings of humans, but he was comforting little ones when those punk bullies was doing their bully thang? He gave them a second chance(the following Halloween)to stop behaving and all they did was grow a year older but were still bullies.

Given what his brother mentioned, especially in regards to how his brother sounded fine on the recording, my interpretation is that it did happen as described. Maybe the critters (Wendigos??) got him and the locals took the body and set up everything to make it look like he went crazy…or the wound somehow transformed him into one of those creatures, doomed to haunt the mountains and his body was ‘left behind’ while his soul was ripped from it. Or something. Idk, it’s late over here.

For those who don't understand the story, John actually saw this creature because his big brother had this cold feeling like him, he actually killed the deer and saw this thing. So John saw this creature while he was going to fetch wood and this beast attacked and chased him too. Only he tripped and got his leg caught in a rock, breaking it. But was the cold already going to his head and making him think this whole thing.

This story made no sense. The ending implied it really happened, and was going to again, but if that's true, the monsters tracked down MP at the hospital, brought him back, staged his body, and repaired all the damage to the car and cabin, and erased their footprints. His brother should've immediately checked the car ignition since he was suspicious of his brother's death and seemed to believe his story
OTOH, if he imagined it all, when did he record the story, and why/how?
Some horror tropes can be frustrating to read, such as tripping on a rock, and "finally making it to the car but forgetting the keys" in the house full of monsters.
Also, so many things happen here where any normal person would just immediately leave, like killing a deer, then coming back minutes later to find your deer completely gone and every bit of blood cleaned up or licked up, including your knife in the tree!

@@TENZEN._. NAH THATS JUST BECAUSE LIGHTHOUSE HORROR IS EFFING AWESOME IN ANY WAY. I never read creepy pastas, never searched for a single one, knew about them and for example the Slenderman - killi ngs etc. But most narrators don't do it for me , as I have Aphantasia (if that's really a thing) but when HE narrates I can finally SEE SOME THINGS!
It took me years of therapy to be able to fly in my dreams and I still always crash or get caught and no I don't always wake up before whatever catches me and tears into me though usually my mind is simple, so it's basic fears : getting stuck, being locked in, fixated to a table (hospital experiences) not able to reach out or hunted by animals.
But LHH has trippled my abilities to "see" not only think of an apple behind closed eyelids.
So I'm thankful for that, beyond the stories that help me sleep and calm me down.

@@janedoex1398 That's so awesome! LIGHTHOUSE HORROR IS like you wrote: "EFFING AWESOME" FACTS! Getting help is good. My friend who is a therapist says all therapy is self therapy. I so totally agree with you Jane! You write so well.

@@TENZEN._. I write well ? Omg , thank you so much, I am always so afraid to not be able to express myself the way I want to, to find the EXACT word - English isn't my first language, I'm Austrian. But since the Pandemic and my parents and me being in the high risk category, I have limited all contacts to the point of being on my own 23,5/7 , so "Canned Me" is basically all conversations I had for almost2 yea, not including the cashier at my local store...^^
But I agree, LHH is awesome. "Spitting facts , ey !"

That was pretty good. Hot wiring a car needs 2 wires to turn on ignition circuit, and 2 to engage starter, but also needs an old car, they don't make em like that anymore.

When the meat disappeared that’s like some Hawaiian stories. In Hawaii if you take pork over the Polly a old woman will appear with her dog and if you don’t feed the dog the pork bad things will happen to you. Someone I know actually had to do this, weather it was a random old woman trying to get free food for her dog or a actual legend idk.

    Great narration as always, though!

Ooh :0 I wondered for a while what the creature was, and how the deer he hunted just vanished completely, blood and all. I theorized wendigo or werewolf, but I believe they were all skinwalkers. :0

This was a really good one. I am definitely biased on the creature(s) involved as theyre ny favorite, but this story was one of those I think about the next day out of the blue. Wish it was longer, but otherwise the pacing was good, mystery, details without dragging any parts out. Just a great, well rounded story I'm not soon to forget. I really love when a story is solo in a video too. I like keeping the best of the best when I want to hear something great with no gambling required. This one definitely delivers in every aspect of what I look for. Thank you 💙

I usually have no problem understanding creepy pastas, but this time things can't seem to add up for me. It was a great story! But can someone kindly explain to me how did John post/record the story with a "happy ending" when in fact didn't get there? I understand the hallucination thing from the cold, but as his brother said, why did he choose to do that instead of get to the cabin? Is it something I missed, or was the story written like this on purpose? Thank you!
