- Donald Trump became the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes Thursday as a New York jury found him guilty of falsifying business records in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through hush money payments to a porn actor who said the two had sex.
Jurors deliberated for 9.5 hours over two days before convicting Trump of all 34 counts he faced. Trump sat stone-faced as the verdict was being read, while cheering from the street below - where supporters and detractors of the former president were gathered - could be heard in the hallway on the 15th floor of the courthouse.

The conviction. Was for falsifying business records to cover up the payments to Storm Daniels for her silence. The campaign did not want the public to find out about Stormy and Trump’s tryst or his longer affair with Playmate Karen McDougal before the election.

Multiple messages were sent out by the Trump campaign over the last year. "This is a rigged trial" meaning that even if he was innocent (he's not) he would be found guilty. That dry even if he did *something* like payoff Daniels it wasn't illegal, and if it was it was so long ago it shouldn't matter and if it does then how is it a felony? And why didn't Clinton get charged then?
These messages worked, people are confused why he is charged and what with and everything is hard!

Most cases get settled. In this case, the prosecutor decided to bring this case to trial and pursue maximum charges. The judge and jury just ruled based on the facts and Trump is mad that he couldn’t use his wealth and influence to make this relatively mild crime go away.. as most wealthy people can do

So in other words, falsified business records (crime one) to cover up repayment of hush money (not a crime) by making misrepresentations of campaign contributions and expenses (crime two).
“Why wasn’t he charged with those other crimes?”
- The state of NY does not require it, nor do they require the alleged second crime even be identified in order to convict. So as a prosecutor, why make your job harder for little to no meaningful gain? So simply choose not to prosecute on that.

The court exhibited extreme bias against one of the parties.
There was collusion between the judge and one of the parties.
The due process rights of the accused were not respected.
The process was completed with such excessive haste that the parties could not have a fair trial.
The jury was not impartial.
The proceedings lacked decorum.
The court interpreted the law in a way that would have forced a party to act in a completely unreasonable manner.

There are only 3 way's for any of us to end this for our families:
1) Leave America. This is the best option, but most of us cannot do this, as we are still working, saving, and pushing towards retirement. I can't walk away from a career I have spent the last 23 working in. Though, once I retire, this may come back to the front of my options.
2) Civil War. This is also not really an option, and would never happen when those that are suffring the worst, are the middle class. While the majority of America is sadly, lower class, and they are not suffering at all. They are instead benefiting off of the work that we do.
3) Vote for Trump, and prey he does something that prevents this from happening again, 4 years after he is elected. This being what I, and most will do, but is also not likely or even possible.
They probably wouldn't care if we left (those who are financially able to) sure they would probably lose some businesses but that would just leave a void they could fill (more control) and the ones who can't leave would be underbtheir thumb even more, i think keaving is giving in, they're bullying us but this is our country...
