Texture filtering should always be at max 16x or at least 8x. Turning textures up won't harm your performance and will help with spotting enemies. Same goes with view distance you'll get far less pop in without losing too much. I hate seeing UA-camrs putting everything on low when sometimes that's not the case if you're just looking for FPS. Highly recommend turning a couple of those up quite a bit actually. Shadows are probably the most harmful along with lighting and other sorts but I find turning them up gives a game a better feel without obstructing view.
Yup, agree'd I have 16X forced on my nvidia cntrl panel. The only thing I turn down in game usually are shadows, post processing, and ambient occlusion. Pop in is probably one of the most annoying things beside motion blur...

i actually wouldn't say the automatic airborne mantle is preference. i tried it and very quickly i saw that it would mantle on objects by accident that i wasn't even facing, but strafe in the direction to. like for example, there's a box next to me, but i don't directly look at it, but i bounce against it by strafing to the side, it would try to mantle. but since i'm not directly looking at it, the character doesn't actually grab the ledge and pull himself up onto the platform. you would just pull yourself up, fall back down and this would repeat as long as you are close to that object. i quickly disabled this feature again. but, i mean, try for yourself.

Too often, I’m flanking enemies alone without support or revival. The game should make it more obvious when players need a revive, with clearer visual cues or audible shoutouts that can be heard by nearby teammates. To enhance strategy, consider removing restrictive map boundaries during defense phases, allowing flanking maneuvers and to push back from behind enemy lines. Adding elevated terrain for drop-in paratrooper snipers, similar to Delta Force Land Warrior (2000), would deepen strategy. Avoid copying Battlefield by including tanks and helicopters-they disrupt gameplay. If I wanted to feel powerless against a tank, I’d play Battlefield. Also, remove futuristic special abilities, they’re frustrating and detract from the core FPS experience. A focus on pure skill and tactics would be refreshing. Emulating the realism of Battlefield Bad Company 2 (2010), Battlefield 3 (2011), or Delta Force Land Warrior (2000) would make Hawk Ops truly exceptional. Unfortunately, realism has become rare in today’s trend toward futuristic bulls***.
Increase render scale by 10-20% then use AMD FSR to quality. It has better sharpening than DLSS. It might make your game look better and will probably counter the visibility issues.
DLSS is usable since it's correctly implemented unlike in 2042. Even at low I have to use DLSS Balanced at 3440x1440 on a RTX 3080 because otherwise I get crazy frame pacing issue. That sucks. I don't remember having that issue in the Technical test last month

How can they ban you for disabling taa when all you need to do is change your config file? You don't need to change any dlls or do something with your graphic card settings. It is build in the game command and in my opinion it is an absolute must. Tried turning it back on and the game is just unplayable, everything is sooooo blurry, especially in motion.

I had the same problem, it seems like values changed since the Technical Test last month. I had to use the good old DIY method and compare with my 2042 sens. Previously I had it set at 1.5 but now it's 1.8 @1600 DPI It shoud scale on a multiplier so you should be fine with 3.6 if you're at 800 DPI

@EndersFPS running ultra textures should have zero impact on your framerate while looking so much better. If you want to keep a very framerate, increase your graphics settings to medium or high and then just use dlss in quality or balanced mode Once you get to 240fps there is very little to gain from increasing framerate any further (eg~1ms at 360hz)
I have tried to get this game for the last week or so , on twitch and many other ways to get it , i can not get , i have been watching your self and cadwoman including many other gamers play the game . I have always noticed how many bots are in the games . Which has come to my conclusion it not going to be a good game it may look great and the game works but only if their is bots in the game .

One thing I would change in the graphics settings is the scene view distance. I always put that to ultra for maximum visibility.

The game is so well optimized as it is, even on max settings, I don't see much of a point in playing with everthing on low... At least for me.
I play on medium so that I can get a stable 100 frames on 3060. If I max everything out, it will be around 60 with drops
