    Yes, I'd like to see another look from the Tarte palette. Also, I like your new camera too. I've commented before that I thought your old camera had a filter which gave you a soft focus appearance; a soft focus that's automatically set when the autofocus is on (it's not something you turned on on purpose). But that soft focus is no longer there! It'll help when you do foundation reviews. On that note, please consider bringing your camera closer when applying the foundations so we can see how it sits on the skin. So many questions can be answered just by actually seeing the foundation being applied. Thanks so much!

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  7 років тому

      Yes, I recall getting that comment. One off comments like that are easy to remember! My old camera was my iphone so no soft focus. They don't have them so nothing was turned on accidentally or on purpose. 😉 That's just all I had to film with up until this point. I'll never EVER use soft focus or a filter. Unfortunately, the touch screen on my new camera malfunctioned about an hour in, so I had to ship it back for an exchange. SO frustrating!! While I'm waiting on that, I'll be using my iphone again. Hopefully it won't take more than a week or two...so only a few videos! I can't wait to get it back though b/c I love the camera! Thanks for the feedback Susan! Constructive feedback is nice! :)

    I have been wavering on whether or not to purchase this palette since I have several eyeshadow palettes and all of the looks that I have seen created with it have been unrealistic for real life, day wear. This look is lovely and right down my alley, and I would like to try Tarte's shadows. I have quite a few rewards points accumulated at Ulta and will pick this up during their next 20% off everything sale. Thank you!
    The sound is just the tiniest bit "tinny"...maybe a bit of an echo. I have no doubt that you will find the right settings in no time! The picture quality is much higher resolution than you were able to achieve with your phone camera and looks great...very crisp and clear. I am happy that your viewership has grown to the point where you felt that a dedicated filming camera was warranted. Congratulations.

    Very pretty look! I'd love to see another look from Tartlette In Bloom, it is my favorite palette. I'm planning on getting the Laura Mercier brush you recommended & I just got Sigma E06 a tiny angled brush that should help create a more precise wing. As far as a liquid eyeliner my favorite is the Tom Ford, it's pricey but never skips and has a very slender brush..

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  7 років тому

      I've used the E06 in a video or two. It's a great brush for ultra precision. It's much tinier than MAC 266...really great for an ultra fine line. I like Stila Stay All Day. For gel, the Tarte ones in the tube are great with that Sigma brush. :)

    I'd like to see more looks. Your eye makeup always looks so pretty & not over done for the day time. That palette photographs much more "plum rosy" than it seems to look in person at the store.
    I enjoy watching tutorials on UA-cam but truthfully most of them just don't apply to me & my life & how I like my mu to look. For real tips on application I always watch you, Emily Noel & BailyB.

      I think you'll enjoy it. It's really versatile. I love the selection of mattes and shimmers. It really spans the board in terms of deep, medium, transition and highlight shades too. Thanks Jane!

      Jane Burke , I'm thinking of getting some MUG shadows. I've got plenty of neutral palettes I like but want some purple/plum. Can you tell me about the quality & if you felt the color pay off/performance was good? I would buy the matte shades mostly. Thank you!

      yensid hi yensid, yes makeup geek shadows are fab, I've never heard a bad comment about them. You can make up your own pallet as you can afford to buy a few at time & the colours are really pretty with good colour pay off. I just fancy this pallet from Tarte as they are my colours & Stephanie looks lovely showing us how the colours look. Hope this helps xxx

      Jane Burke , Thank you so much for responding. I totally get it, when a palette speaks to you & you will use all the colors - it's definitely the worth grabbing. I just haven't been able to find purple & when I thought I had (Bare Minerals Bare Sensuals palette ) it was gone by the time I went to purchase it :( so I'm just going to try making a custom quad. Thank you again. Enjoy the Tarte palette, everyone raves about it.

    Love your challenging eye series and focus on enhancing your features. My eyes are deep set, slightly hooded and I allow my primer to set before applying eyeshadow. When you are using Armani Cold Copper or Tarte Funny Girl (two of my favorite eyeshadows) how do avoid them transferring onto the area above the eyelid?

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  7 років тому

      They don't transfer if I apply them after I apply and set my primer with powder first. They blend and set and are good to go. If transfer is an issue for you after doing that, bringing that shade into the crease and slightly above the lid to blend into the transition shade could help make that look intentional. :) Thank you!

    I have discovered your channel a few weeks back and been binge watching you, so thought I might as well leave a comment to say: thank you for all the great content :)
    Btw. Does the essence mascara have any fallouts for you? I had the pink version and while I loved the brush I remember it having some major fallout... might have taken an old, dried out one of the shelf... :)

    hi stephanie can you do a test/review of the blotterazzi by beauty blender? I figured since you like blotting papers so much your thoughts would be interesting. It seems like a product that would save money but then again blotting papers arent all that expensive and since they're disposable you don't have the hassle of washing them. what do you think?

    • @nikkicalnin1618
      @nikkicalnin1618 7 років тому +1

      violetsnowdrop405 I returned my Blotterazzi. It seamed like a really good idea but If you are really oily,,,,stick with papers. If you get just a tad shiny, I think this product would be great to pat in your foundation again and take away a bit of oil. It really depends on how oily you are. If you're one that likes to touch up with your Beauty Blender, this is perfect for on the go. Wish my skin wasn't so trouble some!

    This is off subject but I saw on Ultas website that they have the Granier micellar water you like in wipe form. You mentioned a while back you wished they had it so I thought of you when I saw it. Great video as always 😃

      Thanks Angie! I saw that but have since realized Garnier has a potential cancer causing ingredient in it that's been banned in several other countries. I've stopped using the Garnier as a result. 😏

    hello! I really trust your reviews, do you recomend this palette? And one more question, (a little bit off the topic) i want to buy a eye brushes set so which brand would you recomend for a semi-beginner? I'd be so thankful if you reply 💖

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  7 років тому +1

      It's probably my favorite, so YES! I've never bought an actual set. I piece-part based on need. I think if you're just starting out and want to not spend a ton and see what you like, you actually get a lot for your money from Real Techniques and the Sephora PRO brushes are really nice too. If you want to spend a bit more, It Cosmetics at Ulta is great quality. They can be pricey but I've been happy with every brush I've used from them. 💗

    • @yensid4294
      @yensid4294 7 років тому

      Pelin Özbalcı , Steph just said exactly what I would have told you. I usually keep a soft brush set aside just to blend with(not used for applying any product) I make application & blending 2 separate steps.

    I just bought that palette but holy cow....fallout galore! Any hints to prevent this, especially from funny girl. And when I tightline, the shadow is transferred to my bottom waterline. Help me Stephanie!!

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  6 років тому +1

      I don't have much fallout from it. That's strange. 🤔In cases where I've had this happen with a palette, I just tap off my brush well before applying and that takes care of it. I'm sorry you're having issues. I wonder if they've changed the formula or if it's a dud? Try MAC Fix plus maybe? Using your finger to apply shimmer to the lid. That helps as well.

      I know..I hear you!! I really like Tarte eye shadows. I had the Tartelette in Bloom and the Tartelette. But when I got the Pro Palette, which I didn't really need, I gave them both to my daughter...which she didn't really need. I don't buy extra foundations or concealers or mascaras. But I have a ton of eye and lip colors!! After I watched this video last night I told Maddie she may have to give that palette back to me ;)
