You can get out 4 or 5 decoys in a single life with scavenger … plus the ammo and lethals. perk greed is big for score because so many perks are good for score. Engineer pairs well with the green specialty (+50 per thing you now see through the world and taking them out is a big boost). Assassin is huge if you pick up the packs. Better on some maps and game types.
One thing not mentioned in this video. War Cry is pretty much the single best field upgrade for getting streaks. You get +15 score for each teammate within the activation range for a total of +75 if you get all 5 teammates. Additionally, you get a +15 score bonus for each kill both you AND your teammates get with War Cry active. Because of this, a single War Cry can get you upwards of +200 or more score from doing literally nothing if your teammates get kills. But I do wish there was a War Cry indicator to show when you are affected by it and shoot someone who is affected by it. Often times I’ll only be able to tell my teammate is running War Cry from noticing my sprint speed increasing
I use War Cry just for the operator voice lines. Nothing gets the blood pumping more than popping this bad boy and having Stone shouting, "LET'S FUCKING GOOO"
War cry paired with the strategist perk chain is absolutely busted for getting streaks that are all super inflated in terms of cost. Gives me a nice seratonin boost seeing a quarter of my screen turn yellow off of simply popping the war cry near allies.
War cry is definitely a plus for team play. Besides being a bank for points, it can definitely be good if you have 1 or 2 teammates that are doing better work than you (maybe unless you too are doing just as much work with them), this field upgrade can help turn the tides with aggressive playstyles or help superior teammates to stay alive for longer.
Steakout isn’t great for it. You’ll hit everyone, but people don’t run far and die quickly. It’s better on medium sized maps. You can reliably hit 3-4 (trigger near center) and they’ll get more benefit for longer. The more your allies get kills and don’t die the more score you get. Maps like pit and steakout will let you hit everyone. But, you get less out of the effects. If you just want to get max people, run it on 10v10 games.
Gold mastery on warcry. Definitely fell in love with it. Don’t forget about the massive score potential. Always run with gearhead (gearhead should be an early prestige unlock). If you run with a crew talking about loadout is huge. Multiple warcry can be a big deal (more so on core than hardcore, obviously). You can easily get almost 40% uptime with two people running gearhead. This pretty much negates stims. It’s also WAY stronger on medium maps. If you’re looking for score … try decoy, scavenger, warcry or scrambler, and UAV. Warcry, scrambler, UAV, and decoy all grant score for allies getting kills. Get decoy out as much as you can. Points poor in. Scrambler is another one that gets stronger with more people running it and has a TON of score potential.
I use war cry as my main field upgrade, it's amazing. The benefits you get are great and if you are stomping the enemy team the extra points going towards the scorestreaks is a nice huge boost
warcry is underrated loving using this on a full squad it's easy points earned. You move faster your teammates move faster it's great for helping push a flag or point.
this video has completely changed my mind on war cry as an equipment, i wish you covered whether or not it has any interaction with the triple red perks ability that gives you better health regen
This game desperately needs to let you charge field upgrades faster with score. Shame I have to wait 2 mins just to get a 15s boost. Gear head feels almost mandatory for some of the slower upgrades
It should not charge at all with time and should strictly be score based. For all field upgrades. But that would reward good players too much for activision's liking.
War Cry is another field upgrade that I am only using so I can get 100 kills while it's active. After that, it's on to deployable upgrades that last a while.
if you run gear head and war cry with 6 players and use it one at a time by the time the 6 players war cry is done the first player can use there’s again. Which means you can have 105 seconds of war cry to start and then if you keep the timing right should be able to every 13 seconds after that first 105 seconds run war cry. It’s kept in balance cause that would take a lot of timing and coordination which most teams don’t have !

I've actually never seen it actually used until last night in a kill cam. I'm sure it's been used, but I just never knew. Interesting. I like the variety of field upgrades in this game. I've been using the Sleeper Agent one a lot lately, since I decided to permanently unlock it with a prestige token just for fun. It's a blast to use when it actually works. Using it behind the enemy spawn with a silenced weapon can be absolutely devastating at times. If you get even just one kill with it while undercover it often creates enough chaos to have teammates stopping to shoot at each other. It's hilarious.
i personally have been loving Warcry, I've been using it basically since launch when i unlocked it, i play mostly domination and this is my go to field upgrade if I'm not using the trophy system
Never thought about using it for gaining streaks but as a hardcore player, the normal use of this does feel pretty underwhelming compared to something like the trophy system (although I do understand that this game is primarily balanced with standard core in mind). Great video as always Ace!!

Ive learned that war cry with all green perks is OP. Playing nuketown and popping that is waaaay too much power and score. But i did not know thw range or that lingering effect for teammates. Now to use it for this master prestige challenge. Thanks!
Try on 10v10 games. Also, use it on medium maps. Nuke town is really small. Steakout and pit are also too small. With a small map you hit more people for the initial score. Yay. Then what? No one really runs anywhere for 10-15 seconds. So, the speed doesnt do as much. And, people tend to die quickly on small maps. The faster they die the less they get out of it and the less score they get for YOU. Medium maps. Aim for 3-4 targets. Get toward the center of the map to trigger it. You get more out of it if people actually use it for that full 15 seconds … and so does your team.
I run warcry with the gearhead perk in hardpoint and domination to boost my teams health regen when they’re holding down the objective. If I hear the callout “taking B” I activate my warcry to help my team take the flag. I’ve noticed my W/L ratio getting better since I’m winning more games now.
I would like it if you can include hardcore mods as well with some of these breakdowns. Like if War Cry Regen works in that mode. Thank you. Also love your content and all the break downs. Keep up the good work
I knew I couldn’t be the only one. I go between this and assault pack mostly (with the occasional sleeper agent) but I generally like running this the most
Try scavenger as an assault pack replacement. Seriously. Give it a go. You get more supplies from scavenger than from assault pack WITH gearhead. On free for all maps sometimes I get 5-6 resupplies. It’s like having danger close, and the tactical one for more tacticals, PLUS having assault pack. Scavenger only works if you walk over the people you kill. So, better in confined areas. Not great for long distance snipers.
It’s basically just squad rage from last year’s warzone but infinitely better since it doesn’t make your vision worse with the graininess and veins showing
The only reason I haven't tried it is because I didn't know the exact power of the buffs and I didn't know it affected the user. I thought it was just for the allies and I assumed the radius was small. I'll be trying this one out tonight
Dude … try everything out! It’s also HUGE for score. You get points per ally hit, and more importantly you get points for their kills. Try UAV, decoy, Warcry, and scavenger. With gearhead if you have it. With each of those you get points if anyone gets kills. It’s huge. Helps you get to the more expensive scorestreaks sooner, or cheaper ones more often. Combat strategist can help a lot, too (which is easier if you have perk greed).
I always forget about my field upgrades so I haven't used it a lot but I'll use it if I see a few teammates around me or if it's an objective mode like Domination I'll use it when going for a flag, I haven't really used anything else besides the Trophy System for Hardpoint mostly because I loved the speed boost from War Cry
About a week or so into the game, me and my friends started playing competitive 6s/8s and there was typically 1-2 War Cry players on each team, and the others having trophies. It sucks something like this is GAd/Banned out of competitive because it’s cool with the speed boost for SnD breaks and rotations to hills, even pop it before trying to break a hill, it’s something that ADDS strategy and promotes team work. I’d love to see pros use it, it would really be great seeing how teams use it but no chance with the way GAs are this year 🤣🤣
Also a good point for using this is that you getting assists for every kill that your teammates are getting when war cry is active on them. so you probably get your scorestreaks faster aswel.

When I unlocked it firstly I used it religiously but now at level 40 prestige 2 I’m plying a lot of nuke town and I find trophy helps out a lot on that rotation but for tdm and kill confirmed I might switch back I knew it was good in a personal sense didn’t realise how much it helped the team
Looks like I’m returning to playing cod multiplayer after refusing to support MW3 2023, that field upgrade is MY type of field upgrade. I love playing as a medic/support and this field upgrade allows me to do it. I’ll have to contend with SBMM again but it’s worth it.
I think I still prefer battle rage over war cry in terms of being a ‘one man army’ sorta field upgrade, but I do like how war cry buffs others and not just yourself
I do feel like they could afford to bring it down closer to Tac Insert and Trophy System in terms of charge time, but any further than that and it would be the best Field Upgrade by far.
The only thing I don’t like about it (even before watching this video) is doing the challenges for it. One is like get 3 kills with it active, 100 times. 3x the mastery requirement but also you have a team of super soldiers now getting kills they otherwise wouldn’t get either
Can you make some videos about hardcore, too? Like, is warcry even useful as far as health goes in hardcore? What about stims in HC? In the past, HC your screen would distort and stay that way. In this one, if you get hit, say with flak jacket on, your screen distorts but goes back to normal.
Most things kill you in one shot in hardcore. There are WAY fewer opportunities for this to even possibly work. People also tend to die faster and not get use for 15 seconds.
The duration and the charge time just make this not feel worthwhile. Yeah, it's a nice boost, but 15 seconds is very little time to take advantage of it. I was doing the challenge yesterday where you have to get 10 kills in one match while War Cry is active and I BARELY had time to pull it off, and that was with me combining it with the Handcannon in order to maximize the number of kills I was able to get while it was active. Even using the handcannon, the most I was able to do was 4 kills in that 15 second window on Skyline. It took me 3 activations total to do it, and my 3rd activation didn't finishing charging until about the last 30 seconds of the match. That honestly just doesn't feel very useful that throughout the match it MAYBE helped me get 10 kills that I probably would have gotten anyway without it. Frankly I think for an aggressive build Signal Lure is the better choice. It gets me in more gunfights and noticeably improves how quickly I get higher level streaks. I've never pulled HARPS and Dreadnaughts as easily as I do with signal lure. Hell, even Acoustic Amp is probably more useful than warcry just because it charges fast and lasts way longer, and helps prevent people from surprising me while I'm rushing around the map. All in all, I think Warcry probably needs a small buff. I think if the duration of it extended by 3 seconds or something after every kill, it would be in a WAY better place.
I’m gold mastery on signal lure and warcry. Signal lure feels like crap. I’m a pretty mediocre player. I don’t go on 10-15 kill streaks often. So, I get a couple … die and someone on the other team gets 100 score on top of the 100 for my elimination!? That feels like feeding the other team. I’ve certainly never last 60 seconds with it if I was actively hunting the other side. Warcry ACTUALLY feels impactful. The score you get is really reliable. It’s easy to hit 3-4 on most maps (plus yourself). It excels on medium maps though. It’s practically 15 seconds of free stim for 4-5 people on your team. And you get it every 80ish seconds (gearhead). So up for 15 seconds then down for 65ish seconds. And you get a LOT of points from ally kills (if your lobby is decent). Plus the speed boost is solid on medium maps where people may need to cover some distance! If you play with people regularly a second warcry changes things a lot. Now it’s up for 30 seconds and down for 50ish. That’s a LOT of uptime with so much speed and healing.
Field upgrade should have capable cooldown reduction by eliminating enemies which cuts -4 seconds. And display interference timer so you'll know how long until reuse again after been fully charge

I'd argue scrambler is better on small maps, it lasts for so long and gets you points for each enemy killed in it's area
And you can activate Gearhead which is also Strategist perk to lower the time lapse in which you can use it again.

A co-ordinated team could have this up for 3/4 of the match after the initial charge time, even higher with gearhead.

War Cry benefits my team more than me. Because every time I use it, I die immediately afterward. But my team do usually pop off

80ish seconds with gearhead isn’t bad. The more powerful stuff SHOULD have a longer cooldown.

It sucks something like this is GAd/Banned out of competitive because it’s cool with the speed boost for SnD breaks and rotations to hills, even pop it before trying to break a hill, it’s something that ADDS strategy and promotes team work. I’d love to see pros use it, it would really be great seeing how teams use it but no chance with the way GAs are this year 🤣🤣
Also a good point for using this is that you getting assists for every kill that your teammates are getting when war cry is active on them.

I've been using WarCry since day 1. It's my default field upgrade. I only use something else for dailies or sometimes I throw on a trophy.

When I unlocked it firstly I used it religiously but now at level 40 prestige 2 I’m plying a lot of nuke town and I find trophy helps out a lot on that rotation but for tdm and kill confirmed I might switch back I knew it was good in a personal sense didn’t realise how much it helped the team

I don't mind War Cry. It was very easy to reach the 'Mastery' level. I don't use it too much lately, but may for scorestrikes
Looks like I’m returning to playing cod multiplayer after refusing to support MW3 2023, that field upgrade is MY type of field upgrade. I love playing as a medic/support and this field upgrade allows me to do it. I’ll have to contend with SBMM again but it’s worth it.
I think I still prefer battle rage over war cry in terms of being a ‘one man army’ sorta field upgrade, but I do like how war cry buffs others and not just yourself
Crazy enough I looked at it last night and was wondering how good it was.
I do feel like they could afford to bring it down closer to Tac Insert and Trophy System in terms of charge time, but any further than that and it would be the best Field Upgrade by far.

The only thing I don’t like about it (even before watching this video) is doing the challenges for it.
One is like get 3 kills with it active, 100 times. 3x the mastery requirement but also you have a team of super soldiers now getting kills they otherwise wouldn’t get either
Can you compare Stim, War Cry and Guardian to see how fast they heal you by itself and then together??

Can you make some videos about hardcore, too? Like, is warcry even useful as far as health goes in hardcore? What about stims in HC? In the past, HC your screen would distort and stay that way. In this one, if you get hit, say with flak jacket on, your screen distorts but goes back to normal.

Most things kill you in one shot in hardcore. There are WAY fewer opportunities for this to even possibly work.
People also tend to die faster and not get use for 15 seconds.

The duration and the charge time just make this not feel worthwhile. Yeah, it's a nice boost, but 15 seconds is very little time to take advantage of it. I was doing the challenge yesterday where you have to get 10 kills in one match while War Cry is active and I BARELY had time to pull it off, and that was with me combining it with the Handcannon in order to maximize the number of kills I was able to get while it was active. Even using the handcannon, the most I was able to do was 4 kills in that 15 second window on Skyline. It took me 3 activations total to do it, and my 3rd activation didn't finishing charging until about the last 30 seconds of the match.
That honestly just doesn't feel very useful that throughout the match it MAYBE helped me get 10 kills that I probably would have gotten anyway without it. Frankly I think for an aggressive build Signal Lure is the better choice. It gets me in more gunfights and noticeably improves how quickly I get higher level streaks. I've never pulled HARPS and Dreadnaughts as easily as I do with signal lure. Hell, even Acoustic Amp is probably more useful than warcry just because it charges fast and lasts way longer, and helps prevent people from surprising me while I'm rushing around the map. All in all, I think Warcry probably needs a small buff. I think if the duration of it extended by 3 seconds or something after every kill, it would be in a WAY better place.
I’m gold mastery on signal lure and warcry.
Signal lure feels like crap. I’m a pretty mediocre player. I don’t go on 10-15 kill streaks often. So, I get a couple … die and someone on the other team gets 100 score on top of the 100 for my elimination!? That feels like feeding the other team. I’ve certainly never last 60 seconds with it if I was actively hunting the other side.
Warcry ACTUALLY feels impactful. The score you get is really reliable. It’s easy to hit 3-4 on most maps (plus yourself). It excels on medium maps though. It’s practically 15 seconds of free stim for 4-5 people on your team. And you get it every 80ish seconds (gearhead). So up for 15 seconds then down for 65ish seconds. And you get a LOT of points from ally kills (if your lobby is decent). Plus the speed boost is solid on medium maps where people may need to cover some distance!
If you play with people regularly a second warcry changes things a lot. Now it’s up for 30 seconds and down for 50ish. That’s a LOT of uptime with so much speed and healing.

I think for 15 sec, the charge time should be 20 seconds quicker. It’s a really good field upgrade that I’ve used quite a lot.
The guys I play warzone with, whenever we find a war cry, pop it and scream WARRRCRYYYY and then run into a team and die. Good times.
Field upgrade should have capable cooldown reduction by eliminating enemies which cuts -4 seconds. And display interference timer so you'll know how long until reuse again after been fully charge

How long do you have to get kills towards the badge? What does it look like for enemies? Does it make a noise? Do enemies get any notficiation of respawning at the insertion?
