How to build an Edwardian race car - the stunning 1904 Napier L48 Samson

When the Australian tractor manufacturer Bob Chamberlain bought a monster racing engine for display in the foyer of his company headquarters, little did he know that it would set him down a path of building around it, the greatest British car from the heroic age of motor racing. This short video using photographs from his own archive, shows the progression from engine to car and then the triumphant days after bringing it to life where it was hailed as the greatest recreation ever of a historic race car.
