So when I was 14 there was this hen my grandparents had with her 10 babies. At the begining of the night She was just standing there in the middle of the garden ready to survive the night. So I decided to rush so I could made her a small house so her and her babies could have a place for sleep. One I finished it ; she immediatly got intriged and started to go inside. My grandpa was quit proud about it. And then the summer end and I got back to my life when I took news of that hen. It turned out a cat got that clever idea that one day he would hide in the house all the day so he could " greet " those chicks.
I understand that the owner is an animal lover. However, you need to give some privacy to the poor hen next time. Laying eggs is a tedious task for hens too. In some unfortunate cases, there can be complications too. I hope, you can be more supportive by providing her own space that she deserves.
There is egg replacer and I get that when I want to have something like an egg. I went vegan 10 years ago to get my crippling arthritis under control. It worked. In the meanwhile, I love animals and I do enjoy my food. My mother and sister died of breast cancer, and I have avoided that also. I am in excellent health. I have gone from being in a wheelchair to walking 5 miles a day and lost 80 lbs. We do not need to harm the animals or rob the hens of their eggs, to be healthy.

This is hard to watch as It's really not fair to put a brooding chicken who is about to lay an egg in the company of such an antagonistic aggressive and destructive cat as the poor chicken is trying to have peace while she's laying and this cat is attacking the chickens nesting area. Pregnant animals should always be respected. This mother hen is being constantly hit in the face by the cat

I know the English language is very difficult, even for native speakers, but I would point out, helpfully I hope, that a kitten is a baby cat; adult cats are cats, not kittens.
