Great Video! I like your style of editing. It can snow in the Uintas in any month of the year. You guys hike the whole loop on day 1, that's a lot of climbing! Keep adventuring Koda and God Bless you!
Hey Hunky MrB sorry for my late reply. I took a long break from doing UA-cam videos and am just starting up again. It was a long hike doing the full loop in 1 day however the next day was not so bad when we hiked out. Such a amazing trip & I'm really hoping to get some more Uintah time this year!
It can be tough but I'm going to give it a run for the money. This weekend i'll be in Zion doing some technical canyoneering. I'm going to do my best at capturing it on video so fingers crossed !!!
And it is coming way to fast !!! I'm thinking I need to take up backcountry snowboarding. Either that or just canyoneer throughout the winter as to keep busy !!!
I'd love to be able to do that kind of walking & be able to explore places like that. Amazing scenery everywhere! We have a Jordan Lake here too. Snow in September? Yeah, you can keep that mess! Trout dinner cooked over an open fire. That's doing camping right. :)
Sadly we didn't catch any fish for breakfast or it would have been perfect !!! We could have also used 2-3 more fish for dinner. I'm a big eater lol. Here in Utah you can tell that winter is quickly on its way. We need it as half of my home valley is on fire right now.

I'm a little disappointed not hear any of your Ric Flair "Whoos" Hahah, Just giving ya $hit. I may have to hit Naturalist this year. I have avoided it in the past because it is a "Boy Scout Favorite". I have been over Rocky Sea Pass and dropped into Upper Rock Creek and it is phenomenal, but it would not have been fun to do as an overnighter. Keep up the videos!
Dang I totally forgot my yells!!! Naturalist was really beautiful and a great 1 nighter. Not a lot of secluded spots though around the lakes. There was a fair amount of people. I really want to do the highline.
Took the scouts on a great two night backpacking trip this last summer. Started at Trial Lake, hiked to Meadow Lake and then came out at Bald Mountain. We slept one night at Meadow (had it to ourselves) and then our second night at Notch Lake (Beautiful). Probably saw more people than you guys here, but it was amazing. There were so many beautiful lakes and good views. I would recommend it. It does take two cars to do it this way, but the points aren't super far apart. www.alltrails.com/explore/map/trial-lake-to-seymour-meadow-lake-to-bald-mountain. The trail is a bit longer than it shows on AllTrails. We had some discrepancy between our two GPS's, but it was somewhere between 12-14 miles. Naturalist Basin is on my list, trying to decide if I go for it this summer.
Sounds like a amazing trip to do! I've hiked around the Trial lake area a number of times. If you have not done Naturalists I would say its a definite must do. It was a lot busier than my liking but it made for a great 1 nighter. I was talking with my wife about going out & doing Grand daddy basin again this year.
Thanks for the video. I like the detail that you provided in this video about the various lakes and the hike in general. The Uintas are a wonderful place and I think I could spend a lifetime there and still not ever see everything. What are you using for your GPS?
I use a GPS application that works through my phone. For Android users I recommend Backcountry navigator. I have found that this app works just as good as my $400 garmin (which I sold). If you have apple products I recommend you look into Gaia App. I do still carry a Garmin Inreach when I go hiking. It functions as a GPS but it also has a emergency beacon & locator in it. I mostly bring it just for safety in case I need to contact SAR or family. Especially with some of the things I'm doing they are high riskk.

I think I need to invest in some snow shoes !!! That would be cool. Anything to keep my going through winter which is usually my down time.
