Hello everyone and thank you for checking out this wow classic video! If you're enjoying these mage videos or have any questions, please let me know in the comments below, like the videos and subscribe! They really help out the channel and help more people learn these strategies!
In today's video we round out our instance grinding to reach level 60 on our mage! We speed level through Dire Maul (DM) north + DM east. I show two different speed leveling strategies. The first is DM north + DM east. This takes advantage of the potential gold farm in DM east as well as gaining some extra bonus experience, but is not as fast experience/hour as just DM North. The second speed leveling strategy is just the DM north 2 pull in five minute resets. With this strategy you'll get locked out, but will be maximizing your xp/hour reaching rates into the mid 100ks xp/hr.
These speed leveling / gold farming farms are great ways to avoid open world farming while still obtaining incredible xp/hr rates at nearly level 60! I hope this helps you level fast!
Thank you everyone and I hope this video helped you in some way! If it did or if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments below. Look forward to seeing you all in the next video! - Ігри
this is what I needed, I refuse to kill less then 30 mobs at a time after doing the zf gy pull for 10 levels, doing quests makes me feel like a peseant
How did that go? at 54 I was pulling way too much + dying to the doggy boys even with good gear (2.5k health, almost 6k mana)
@@Cal97g I was about to go try this at 54 in lieu of attempting BRD. Were you completely unsuccessful?
NJDEVILS1214 Dogs are still red at 54 and so Blizzard will miss hitting some of the dogs.
@@Cal97g At 54 doing the inner mara farm is best till 57
just finished zf leveling phase from 42 to 54! Now i realy dont know how to level further :D
As lvl 57, I did my 2 first runs without problem. But when I tried to optimize it according to the video, I died 20 times in a row. But I figured it out!
The problem for me was a few things:
First problem, when I jumped down from the safe spot to the ledge, the first pack immediately pulled because of range. Therefore they got ahead of the pack that you pull with counterspell, making the dogs more spread out.
The second problem, was standing too close to the corner (as seen at 17:26). Having the dogs spread out as previously mentioned, and standing 20 yards from the corner, simple didn't give me time enough to get them affected by blizzard, before I had to ice block. When I did get out of ice block, the mobs were all hitting me at different times, killing me almost every time. Even when I survived, I didn't have time enough to recover, before the dogs had run back past the corner, and the pull was ultimately scuffed. Even when I did succeed with block and nova, I didn't have the damage to get them down before they'd run back past the corner, and it was almost a guaranteed reset.
The solution: standing at max range to the corner, while gathering up the dogs (blizzard range/36 yards). This allowed me to cast blizzard for longer during the grouping, leading up to ice block. Having them grouped up, allowed me to get out of ice block unharmed, much more consistently. Between the nova and the corner, I had time to channel a whole extra blizzard before going into nova/flamestrike/cone, ultimately giving me the time and room I needed to kill them.
I hope this helps others who's struggling to make it work. And thank you for the video Arlaeus!
THIS COMMENT NEEDS TO BE HIGHER
@@ScytherOnSpree That was part of my problem as well, and the reason for that was that the dogs weren't grouped up well enough before they reached me.
The solution was to practice the timing of the jump, to make sure the dogs got pulled evenly. And also to stand at max range from the corner while grouping them up.
This made their attacks more synchronized while I was iceblocked, making it easier to time when to nova.
Also just make sure you're close to the edge, and keeping your running button down, while spamming clicking iceblock cancelation and nova.
@@ScytherOnSpree I do remember taking a good chunk of damage sometimes, even after I started surviving consistently.
If you're sure that you can't do more to get out of their melee range faster, then spell batching or latency be the cause as you mention.
I haven't tried doing it without the ice-block, but sounds like a fun experiment. Only one way to find out ;) Gl either way!
So if it's 7 hours of grinding to get level 60. But you died 20 times. Add another 3 or 4 hours to optimize. So 10 hours for 3 levels. Are we sure questing might not be quicker?
Fake friends write the wrong answers on the mirror for me. Making complex moves seem simple is the ultimate gold selling strategy.
Your ability to clearly explain these pulls in a single take without a script is impressive.
Great guides as always!
Thank you man :)
@William Schmidt
I wish I saw this before trying the DMN run tonight. Thanks another amazing video, Jestermagearugal.
I love those new mage solo dungeon leveling videos so helpful
Hey Arlaeus! Thank you for your AoE guides! I started with your ZF guide and have looked through all of the classic mage guides now. I really appreciate you taking the time to get this information together and teaching people how to do this farms! I sub'd to your channel and look forward to more videos! :D
Was struggling a lot with this, but figured out a strategy that is really safe and doesn't require LIP or Iceblock. If you wait for the dogs to pat right around where he says, jump down to aggro and instantly CS the further dogs. They usually clump up together pretty good. Once they start getting closer, precast R1 blizzard left of the corner, just far enough so that the outside of the circle covers the corner but most of it is left of it. 95% of the time this will slow all of them, although they will start getting close. Once the lead dog starts getting close to you, jump off immediately and put a max rank blizzard right on top of them and then another in the corner. When they start running around the corner, frost nova to group them up and flamestrike/coc. Finish off stragglers with AE. If you dont manage to kill them the first time, just run back and use his corner jump to get back on the ledge and repeat the process. I was able to farm here consistently using this method, whereas with ice block it was basically rolling the dice. Hope this helps some people out there, just dinged 60 using this strat :)
this works really well ty
Think I'll give this strat a go thankyou.
nice! This does work more smoothly for the dogs. But I couldnt quite figure out how to pull it off for the scarbs bc they dont clump as much on their own
this worked flawlessly. thank you
Nick Bauer-Levey scarabs are trickier because there are so many of them. IIRC I would just ice block the scarabs because they don’t one shot you as often as dogs. However it really depends on your blizzard placements while you’re clumping them up. Glad this worked for you though :)
Looking forward to go ahead to go ahead to getting ready to go ahead and farm this. Go ahead. Great guide!
Great video, you're always such an awesome help for me when I'm pretty much just solo leveling my mage, I'd love to get a list of your addons and see what you use!
Glad I found this channel. Great content.
Aug the legend! Great mage info man never stop
Arlaeus you are legit bro. Insanely knowledgeable and a great mage!
For those having trouble with this at 57, as I have...I suggest nova'ing after the initial CoC on dogs. This will make sure everything gets slowed and is in your control.
Love all the videos, they're very helpful! Can you make a video explaining how to use TSM to its full potential?
Your videos are simply amazing man, one of the main reasons i leveld a mage to 60. thank you for everything you do!
Thank you!!
Im diying a lot when exit from IB on those hounds, i hade full barrier and mana shield before going IB, but when i exit instant die :( (lvl 57 atm)
Later in the video he talks about watching their attack timer, as they all tend to have basically the same timer, and you come out of ice block right after they attack so you don’t get globaled.
Great video as always! Heard you the other day say you were making a complete 1-60 AOE farm/lvling guide? Super pumped for that if I heard that right. I am 33 right now on my mage after only 4 real time days of pure solo AOE farming starting at lvl 22 with few quest in between (Zero carries thru instances, so far) Super pumped to hit 42 and do ZF solo.
5:27 Epic tip!
Nice man!! You’re going to FLY once you get to ZF
How do you not die after iceblock?
The iceblock into death is my biggest problem.
So I died like 6x in a row now on the hounds after iceblock.
I have tried practicing the reset spot for DME before doing the pull, I have tried for 10 mins and got it once. I think you may need to explain how to do the jump other than "jump on the rock and then jump on this rock"
I think you have to angle it like he does but slightly before the tip of the rocks you are standing on, then run forward and jump. It's difficult to the point where I just take a death if I fail the pull instead of attempting it.
this channel is getting crazy interesting nice job mate !
Thank you!!!
Just in case anyone is still dying to the hounds, you need to counterspell the far right ones near the corner so when they get towards where you rank 1 blizz they all group on top of eachother and share the see melee tick. You wait until you hear them all bite at the same time, break your block, nova and drop at the same time then run up to the bench and proceed.
Good video ! Thanks
Side note, your keyboard typing for doing just one ability or mounting was like “wtf” lol, i was tripping for a bit
can i ask what scroll combat text youre using? im trying to use Miks scrolling battle text, but the hits all come up in one place and i gett dying out of iceblock because im not timing it right, with your one they come up in three seperate sections so you know when youre getting hit the most
You’ve inspired me to level a mage alt with all of these awesome, super clear cut guides. Really excited to solo ZF, Mara, and Dire maul packs in the coming days with these strategies. :D
@William Schmidt imagine playing Dark Souls but it's WoW
Update: 57 on the mage, did 42-53 in ZF and then went to mara. awesome guides, getting levels at a disgusting pace compared to leveling the rogue at launch. Awesome Stuff!
What is the addon you are using that replaces the loot window with the upward scrolling text when you are looting? love how that looks I really want it now
Did the hyenas + 1st guard as warlock SM/DS, if you are fast enough they won't reset/heal when using "Safe spot" to get back on the ledge.
I have been struggling a ton with these pulls - I always die when I come out of IB, both on the dogs and the insects. However, buying a lot of LIP's(limited invulnerability potion) has made this work for me. Just put it on your action bar and spam click it the last second of your IB and then frost nova. Works very well for me - And one more thing I found, is if you point your character to run off the wall before you IB, all you have to do is hold W and you run right off. Thanks for the great video Arlaeus! Subscribed. ^^
Hey man definitely use a cancelaura and time the hits to make it easier! Also get call on w and you can use a or q (strafe) depending on your keybinds as well :)
I have the same issue, Just die instantly out of IB.
@@Dennizzz119 Check Arleaus' reply - it is about timing the hits. Using a LIP makes the runs more expensive but a lot easier. Also I had skinning and sold Rugged Leather at 1.8g a stack - made a lot of gold back that way
@@arlaeus9491 Hey mate, can you explain this reply? Cancelaura for Ice Block but is there any tips for timing the hits other than learning by doing? Thanks for the great videos!
Thanks for another great video. The ice block strat is rough on the dogs. Lot of what seems to be RNG happening there as oneshots coming out of block are common (esp at 57). LIP strat much more consistent. Personally...I've spent far more time learning the strat than it would've taken me to go from 57-60 through efficient questing. If you plan to farm a lot using these starts (which I do) it makes sense to put in the work to get them down. As a leveling strat...unless you are very good, in particular on the CoC part, I'm not sure this is a reliable leveling alternative for first time mages. At the very least...be ready for some frustration.
You can also kill Guard Mol'dar in DMN after clearing the dogs and carrion swarmers/bugs. Mol'dar takes about 7-8 min additional and drops a good cloth wrist, not the thing if you are there for XP and no loot. If you need a good cloth wrist upgrade he might be worth the time.
After pulling Mol'dar, jump up from the hill to the bug ledge and back to the hill while DPSing. Make sure you jump up when Mol'dar gets to the base of the hill. There is a reset location as well on the wall to the left as you go up to to the bug ledge. If you move up there and wait - everything will reset.
What do you do with the stealth satyrs? You said to not have them pulled with the packs but they seem tricky/inefficient to solo them before.
Been watching a few of your videos
This is sub worthy
Thank you man!!
Question about instance lockout, I ran this instance 20 times and then started getting instance lockout, logged for 3 hours and still locked, I know about the 30 per 24hr and 5 per hour, but theres no way I've hit the 30 for 24hr because I ported to SW and was able to enter Stockades. Are you only able to run a specific dungeon x amount of times? I'm not completely informed about the instance changes they made in attempt to counter bots so if anybody has some insight, I'd appreciate it, thank you.
how do you do the dogs without lip? As soon as brick wears off I get killed instantly.... even as I spam blink so I can blink after the block is done
Every time I try to block the dogs 1 shot me despite having both shields up. I get that you are supposed to wait for them to swing, then break, but it just looks like an endless barrage of attacks to me. Also it feels like there's a 1 second delay to cancelling ice block. Lips are 3g, so I am hesitant to use them. I am trying to use the spot you showed to get back on the ledge to get them together instead of using iceblock.
PS: you can flamestrike cone of cold and basically 1 shot the bugs.
I never comment on videos, but you're tips are amazing. Keep up the good work man!
Thank you!!
As a warrior player currently still leveling, I watch your videos specifically to feel offended.
Hahahahaha warriors can actually start boosting SM soon!
a warrior on my server was selling sm lib runs 3g each lol, not too bad fury whirlwind spam
dude thanks man!
is ice shards (+100% frostcrit dmg for 5 points) really worth it...
it only really applies to CoC anyway, feels like getting sooner into other trees is better.
Been doing this successfully at 57 for a while now so figured I would throw out some tips for the many frustrated people here.
1. By far most important buy Limited Invuln Pots. PERIOD use them for the dog pack. Once this runs out immediately frost nova then go into blizzard slow rotation. At the corner is where you do your shatter kill combo
2. Maybe equally important is dont even try the block or invuln stack strat on the scarabs it isnt worth it. Those mobs have 800 health they die from one blizzard or one shatter combo. I take them all the way back to the dog spot to just play it safe in case I need the soft reset spot.
Any tips how NOT to get insta killed when coming out of nova ? i have IB and MS up, make sure the yattack at the same time, use cancel aura and before i even move of the ledge ( 0.5 sec ) i am insta dead
Do you have a link to your mage talent tree, for this grind?
For anyone still wanting to do this during TBC, you can do both pulls in DM North (hyenas and scarabs/spiders), at level 57, very easily with no risk of dying after Ice Block in a similar fashion to the Zul Farrak pull : exploit the mob's pathing when you jump off the ledge.
My kill time using this method was fairly similar (I was done looting just before the 6minute mark, while he was done looting at 5m40).
When you jump off the ledge, the mobs will turn around and start going all the way around. During this time you have more than enough time to get back up using the climbing spot he shows at 3:25. So Using that you can kite the mobs endlessly and Blizzard in the corner the same way you do in Zul Farrak.
A few tips :
- Run Mage Armor as the monsters should never hit you using this strat, and mana is good.
- To climb back up consistently : stand still (no moving forward) IN THE CORNER he shows at 3:25, as close to the wall as possible, facing towards the corner. Jump without moving forward. When you're at the max height of your jump, press forward for half a second (press and release straight away). Your character should land on an invisible edge halfway up the wall (note that if you're still pressing forward when your character lands, you will fall immediately). Jump again (without moving forward), and at max height press and hold forward, this should land you on top of the edge.
Once you have it mastered, I'd wait a bit to climb back up as both packs of mobs run FAST and you're further away from the corner than you were in ZF.
- The scarab/spider pull will probably not be perfectly packed, this doesn't really matter as they have very low HP and basically die in one or 2 blizzards.
- To make the kills faster, I run a spec that goes all the way to Water Elemental. This allows me, just after each pack gets around the corner the first time, to summon a water ele, and nova the pack just after the corner (without putting myself in danger), jump down, and flammestrike --> Coc -> Blizzard in the corner, to speed up the kill process.
This does mean I only have 2/5 clearcasting at level 57, but I don't miss it. Water Ele should be juuuust back for the second pull, if not it doesn't really matter as they have low hp.
Would limited invulnerability potions work on the hyenas rather than using iceblock?
So there's one major problem with the iceblock strat. After trying it for almost 4 hours, I keep getting "tendon ripped" by at least 4 of them which kills me. There's never a time where they are all hitting at once to make sure you don't get the DOT. the LIP strat is the only way to insure it goes off well, which is very frustrating as they are about 2g on my server and this only gets me about 1 and 1/2 exp at 57. I'm sorry but this just doesn't work as well as some of your others.
Ty for your vid.
I had ~3 good tries. but now I'm constantly dying right after I get out of Ice Block. I tried it with /cancelaura Ice Block macro but didnt help. Is there something else I have to watch out? Shields are up as well
how do you get out of iceblock and dont die ? i dont get it. ive did try this like 30 times and im insta dead every time
The amount of cheese in this channel could feed all of france for an entire year lol
awesome vid as always! for scarabs, i just put both shields up, jump up, blink right into the other 2 packs, block, come out of block into nova, shatter flame strike cone of cold combo and it 1 hits all 3 packs. takes like 10 seconds very fast
Nice man very quick and good strat!!
I die everytime I come out of block. How do you not take ANY damage there?? I try to time it but they are in range too long.
are you using fire aoe type spec or ur usual spec into arcane etc..?
I keep dying as I come out of block, any tips?
I'm only getting around 80-130 xp per wolf. I'm level 57, did they got nerfed or anything? ZG is way too hard for me to level
Great video, i wonder how necessary using block is to group the Hyenas / scarabs. Could you Just ledge dance to make them kite back and forth. Instead of using "of the Eagle" gear using "of the Owl" for the increased mana regen since you probably wont be getting hit. This would be similar to the ZF farm where you keep jumping over the corner on top of the walls. You wont be killing the mobs as fast as youll need to waste some mana on rank 1 blizzards grouping them and then hoping back and forth on that corner. Yet since you need to wait for reset timers and blocks anyway it may not matter? Just a thought and some theory crafting
Yup you can!! Hard part is that often times they’re faster than your blizzard so they run through blizzard without taking a tick
There is one stealth pat in each of the hallways leading into the satyr room. (You didn't quite go wide enough while entering, so thats how you got him during the pull as he patted back inside.) Then, inside the room there is ONE stealth satyr in the room with a 25% chance of him being at 4 locations. The first location is on the right as you enter the room which is the worst spot for this as it means you're dealing with two stealth pats. The second spot is by the second group is the one you reset at the end. The third and fourth locations are at the very back of the room on both the far left and far right of the room (on top of the ghost mushroom spawn locations).
Great info thank you man!
This is not so simple, even with ice block timing to avoid most of the hits i get shreded 100% -> 0 the moment is remove ice block. with barrier + mana shield doesnt matter. Before ice blocking i even try to stand on the very last pixel of the ledge to instantly fall down. But the leeway fuck me up anyway 80% of the time i get 1-shoted.
I think u wait too long. Go out of the block if they begin the attack not at the end of the attack animation.
Did you use a mouseover / interact bound to mouse wheel up/down to loot the mobs? Thanks
Yup!! I have a looting fast video on my channel which goes into depth about it but yes that’s it :)
Great guide, what's the exp per hr like if I get my 60 Mage to power level my 50 alt. Don't no where to go after Mara as I can't do Strat
Unfortunately not as much because you have two toons and one which is a 60. Maybe about 35-40k?
is there any solo farm from 54-57 before doing this
I have been attempting the satyr packs in DME but I can't get CoC kiting down 🥺
A great idea for this is to grab the thornling seeds up top and then switch each reset between a thornling and a LIP only for the Mastiffs as they hit very hard if timed incorrectly. A LIP or Thornling negates this being an issue
Being able to run it twice if you don't do DM East part you will make your money back on the Lips especially if you get green drops to disenchant. Also Nova them at the start even if you LIP makes them much easier to keep grouped and you will get your nova back as they get yo the corner if you're blizzarding appropriately.
I was struggling doing this for so long until I saw this video. I still struggle with killing them, however now I can actually kill them all and not die! :D It is nowhere near as fast as yours, I think it takes me about 3-4 min to kill them however I am still very happy with that! Also because I am slow I take my time with the insects and then kill the guard boss for the chance at the sublime wristguards because they are pretty good.
For the boss I just use that jump on the ledge trick where the insects were and get close enough to aggro with a R1 blizzard, hop off and wait for me to come to me, then jump onto the rocks and run to the ledge and follow the ledge all the way to the ramp near the entrance.
Just Cast max rank Frost Bolt as he is coming around the corner and run to the ramp, hop off onto the grass and blink forward and you can cast 3-4 frost bolts before he is out of range. Run back to the ramp ledge and do the jump trick to get back on, rinse and repeat.
He also gives 2.2kish xp at level 58 when you solo him, so if you are not that great at doing these runs but don't have enough time to do DME try killing this boss, takes up a bit of time, chance at a good item upgrade or a couple of gold from the item he drops being vendored.
Great vid. But please please post a ZG Solo farm one before release :D thank you
Saturday’s the plan for that :)
@@arlaeus9491 PTR has been taken down unless you already have recorded footage
What addons do you use that tell you how much damage you take and also the instance counter? Good vid btw :)
weak auras!
Hey Arlaeus - I can ..sometimes.. kill the dogs, but the bugs kill me coming out of ice block 100% of the time, and yes, I use a cancel aura macro. I have tried various different positions on the ledge, walking out sideways, backwards, forwards, none of it matters. Any ideas?
I used to get one shot by the dogs and gave up pretty fast.
This is impossible with any amount of lag. It was a waste of gold and time. Do you have any suggestions to help with regular 250ms?
at 57 I was able to do this the first time no problem. and then every time since I've been one shot coming out of the block. I'm so frustrated but I can't stop because I KNOW it works
Heya I note you did the video for 42 -54 ZF and DMN for 57 -60, what did you between 54-57? Btw great vids, have helped me a lot
Mara 1 pull
What addon are you using to display the number of kills of different type mobs?
Killtrack!
How do I survive the Mastiffs after I ice block without a LIP? They apply like 6 bleeds all at once and then I just get one shot by them.
You have to time their attacks and then come out when they will hit you the least and potentially cold snap block if they get too many dots on you.
Not sure if anyone posted this above, but for those of you who are struggling with getting out of the ice block and being destroyed by the mastiffs, I found a way to avoid it. I simply crafted ( you can as well buy them) lips (limited invurnelability potions) and i use one at the very second my ice block falls off. This way i survive, nova the mastiffs and do the rest as is said in the video. Ofc this way you have to spend extra gold on each run, as it will take 2 lips per run (one for dogs and one for spiders), but the exp you gain is worth it if you ask me. Hope this will help someone =)
so if i instantly die when coming out of block i guess im not grouping them up effectively or timing my iceblock aura cancel correctly?
It’s possible to happen from unfortunate rng but yes try to time their swings and cancelaura block
@@arlaeus9491 man its rough. ive found that if the hyenas are coming in a solid line, i'm pretty much SOL. they need to be grouped up into packs as they run to my iceblock, otherwise their hits are too constant to try to time the dropping of the ib
Ive tried synching up coming out of iceblock like 10 times now and can't seem to manage. I always get instantly killed :'(
Watch the mobs, don't look at the combat text. After a few seconds blocking you should be able to pick out a particular wave of all the mobs attacking. Wait (if you have time left on block) for their next attack so you're ready, and cancel immediately after they hit.
What is that loot addon that shows it in the middle of the screen as a scrolling text?! I need this in my life. TY in advance.

Can DMN be done at lvl 56
You can use the thornling in DM:N instead of on Satyr's too. I can survive 95% of the time coming out of Satyr's with just ice barrier so it's probably more helpful on the dogs than them.
hey Arlaues, I LOVE your videos. Your ZF video helped me level from 43-54 in 2 days and I made 500 gold (snagged a flurry axe in the process) during those 2 days of grinding. Now I am at 55 and the xp/hr has really gone down because I don’t know where to go. WPL is kind of crowded and can never pull a group larger than 3 or 4 at reasonable times of the day. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how I can get to 57 super quick so I can start this farm?
i didn’t see the other comments asking the same question prior to asking this. I was thinking maybe the dogs in BRD but they are hard to catch in their patrol patterns. anyways, love the videos and thank you for everything
Definitely don't do BRD dogs because their xp is low. I'm going to be having a video about this in a couple of weeks or so once I get my other mage up, but for now maybe just quest or get pre-bis gear until 57!
@@arlaeus9491 Any news on that? A guide from 55-57 would be so great :)
This is the most sketchy xp farm out there. So even when you time the dog's melee up and don't die after iceblock breaks, you still have a very low chance of catching them all in your nova. if one gets lose, you are screwed. Also, when the dogs are running on the ledge, they are buggy AF
this was a horrible farm for me.
Agreed. I gave this a fair shake but this is just not reliable at all. The dog's attacks never line up at all and they just eat you instantly 90% of the time. Even if all else were perfect, the fact alone that LIP is mandatory to make this farm reliable and that ZG farms for sub-60s are being developed is plenty reason to can this.
Came here to say this. It all comes down to RNG of dog / bug attack timings. I tried mixing so many things up to get more consistency but it just wasn't possible. Best I managed on my journey 57-60 was about 70/30 success:instant death ratio. Averaged about 30-40kxp / hr. Wish I had quested instead, but respect to anyone who can pull this off with 100% consistency.
@@SolinoidEU completely agree with this. to many people just calling out "you're just bad" but in the end this is not live streamed and you get to see the success, not the fails. I'm not saying it can't be done, but I do believe rng is a big factor. I've pulled it off at 57 and it was literally my 2nd attempt after death. I thought it's going to be a smooth ride to 60. Since that success, I've wasted more time running back from deaths than I would have made in xp just questing.
@@moneygrowsgreen So what u recommed? I hit 57 this morning and wanna climb fast to 60

Good video! I would just like to add that you can to the Hyena pull without either iceblock or LIP. Stand on maximum distance from the corner and hit them with the r1 blizzard as you do, and then await the 1st dogs to reach you, then you jump down and blink to the bench. Jump and frost nova, then start killing them as you do.
So you've shown insane methods for pretty much 40-60. Are there any methods from 20-40. Wife and I are about to create some frost mages to AoE grind with together. (Should make all these methods easier with 2 since both of us aren't very good at the game).
Tyler Fischer I’m going to be looking into some! Difficult part is the lack of talents at those levels
Every time I try to come out of Ice Block, they destroy me. I've done this 10 times and same outcome. How're you getting out and surviving when you drop off the edge?
tkdkicker04 Same and it’s seems almost everyone else who has tried has had the same result I wished he’d answer
How do you set up WeakAuras so that is shows you when mobs hit your ice block? Having issues with timing :)
It’s in scrolling combat text in the normal wow interface options
Arlaeus amazing don’t know how I missed that
Very good video. Thanks to you I have leveled my mage from 48 to 54 in ZF. Now doing quests seems so boring.
Any guide for bracket 54 to 57 as alliance regarding solo instance farm?
Congrats once again for your explanations!
Hey man I'm going to be working on a video for that once I get my next mage up! I have a theory :)
@@arlaeus9491 my guess is BRD?
@@iPwnedYou7 dont know, they are still elites high lvls vs 54
@Arlaeus maybe this could work ua-cam.com/video/i0_YV7BUNwY/v-deo.html ?
@@arlaeus9491 Pleas Arlaeus, waiting so hard for that video you mentioned to get to 57 quickly!
Awesome stuff! Is that a Weakaura that shows how many times you've killed a mob? Have a link to where I can get that?
That's called killtrack! It's an addon!
@@arlaeus9491 Sweet thanks.
How do I stay alive coming out of ice block? I’m on the edge, i have a fresh barrier up and I cancelaura ice block before attempting to jump down, nevertheless, i get owned immeidately. Any tips on survining coming out of IB? I’m using LIPS on the inital pull, but if i don’t get them down and have to run back to the ledge to start the process over, my LIP is still on timer.
You don’t need to iceblock. Get them all slowed with R1 blizzard and jump off before the lead dog can attack you. Once they all start running the other way you can safely blizzard to slow/damage the pack and then frost nova when they’re coming out of the corner.
@@GAT-je9po they are very fast and a lot of them get through the corner blizzard
Gajsu1 it’s about timing the pull. Need to get them all in one clump so they don’t bug through the blizzard. I had a comment explaining how I did it and what worked for me
@@GAT-je9po i just figured exactly how to do this easy mode without the ice block. works even better and 90% of the time.
this is very difficult at lvl 57, the amount of resists and shit you get+having to use a lip is a bit rough when they 3-5g each.
Your playing a mage, and complaining about 3-5g?........ Oh the irony in that is astonishing.
Love your guides. Boost never went easier :P
So fast! haha
@@arlaeus9491 i´m Watching you :D
Do you use some macro to get out? If so, can u share it with a noob lile me? ❤
It would be nice to see this at 57...since you know the title of vid says so..Thanks keep the good work up
Would you expect him to level up a new character the whole way to 57 for a video?
Can you link spec since i cant see quite well on video thank you
If you need a vendor theres 1 in the library of DMN, he also repairs, need to have a DM key to access.
Great call!
I gave up.. I get out of iceblock straight after i receive most of the ticks from the dogs, still i get left with about 3-4 rends, also there is one dog 5/10 runs that resists on level 57.
I can almost never survive the ice block out of the hyenas. I did finally manage to kill them all, after like a 10 minute juggling kite fight and they were only giving like 10, 38, or 50 XP per kill? Did this get nerfed?
It did not get nerfed. Unfortunately when you take a while to kill mobs they’ll will “soft reset” and your xp will be based on their current health
yo Arlaeus! Uden from Biggles here. Did you move your computer, or did you buy a new home? I'm all jealous of that banister - currently shopping for a home myself. : D
Haha hey man it’s my parents house. Wish I could afford something like this myself! :p
Awesome video! Do you think it would be efficient to use these pulls to boost someone else?
Unfortunately no. The experience will be drastically reduced
I can't seem to get out of block without instantly dying in north & standing on the little chair thing in north they all turn around and 1 shot me. I've probably died 15x and lived once using block strat. Now I just use a lip every time. It's incredibly frustrating not being able to do it with block :(
What’s your health like? You need probably 2500 hp at least
@@arlaeus9491 this also happens with me, i have a feeling its latency issues as my wifi isnt the best but i can never survive getting out of the block. i have 2900 health
Yep, same here they apply a bleed that you get a bunch of stacks of and you die.
These guides are the reason my mage is over 52 xD
How much gold can you make in an hour there?
After having found 2x Greater Arcane elixir patterns in the DM E chest I always aim to get it :)
Wow... that's amazing haha nice man
Great video!
Do you use max rank Frost Nova or just rank 1?
Always rank 1!
Thanks!
Can you explain your relationship with the content coming from Necerium Cloudes? I ask because I often see your videos following his exact videos a few weeks or days later. I don't want to accuse you of stealing content with asking for an explanation first. Thanks!
Hey man so I’ve been talking about doing this farm for weeks in my discord and twitch, so this was planned long before his video dropped. That I know we’ve had two of the same videos to which I’ve given him credit on one and then this one which I didn’t know was posted. I don’t keep a tab on other channels and just put out content I find useful. But at the end of the day we’re both operating within the same game so it’s possible to have duplicative content. All of these farms likely have been posted by people even before us it’s just a matter of who gets found with them. To be careful though I’ve stopped leaking my plans in advance of my videos in the event that people go and post them before me. Not saying that’s what happens, but I’ve noticed recently that there’s been a couple of my videos getting posted soon before mine after being talked about for weeks or months in my channel.
