- I've heard many people say this this is the worst of the earlier seasons of th walking dead, so I'm going back to watch and settle that debate once and for all.

This season is definitely underrated, I do agree that the second half is MUCH better than the first but I really do have a soft spot for how quaint this one feels. Shane and Rick’s dynamic was a highlight for sure, and yeah Andrea (and Lori to a smaller extent) was definitely a lot worse this time around, and unfortunately I feel that doesn’t change going forward 😅
As I mentioned in the comments of the last video, I feel that I’m in the (seemingly small) minority of people who prefer this season to season 3, so I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it 👀
And the worst part about how they wrote Andrea is that in the comic, SHE WAS FUCKING BADASS. I remember feeling SO incredibly betrayed when Andrea was so different in the show.
And since I'm bringing up the comic, I have such a love/ hate relationship with Darrell because his character is awesome in season one but then when I realized that they were writing over some of the relationships/ story points that were meant for other characters and instead made him the priority sure to popularity made me so sad 😭
Yeah I’ve written the review for seaosn three already (should be up Next week fingers crossed) but she doesn’t really get any better in my opinion. She’s not a bad character but we really have no reason to root for her, or feel for her. But I’ll give you my full thoughts there! But good to see you in my comments again!
Hardly the worst. One of the better seasons, in fact.
It is such a drag and the characters act incredibly stupid just to move the plot it's unwatchable for me
honestly i think you need all that time spent looking for sophia, darryl looking around in the forest forever in order to get the proper impact in the mid season finale, i remember when i first watched it i was so shocked after they'd spent so much time on it i was sure theyd find her, overall i love this season as to find it intresting you really gotta invest in the characters which i love in shows. loved the vid (:
Thank you for noticing how annoying Andrea was. She was just a drag all the time...and let's not mention her death where she gets handed a revolver but you hear a clip hit the floor. 🎉
If you haven't already, you should check out Black Summer. I think that it's a bit lacking in terms of it's characters but I like the zombies in that show a lot more than the Walking Dead and I like the constant perspective shifts that it does. Also, I love the videos, keep up the great work.
I might check it out ! But I do intend to review the ENTIRE walking dead universe before I venture onto something else. But maybe this series will just become all things zombies 🤷🏾. Thank you for the suggestion tho! I’ll definitely put it in the list I have for future ideas/ projects!
Yoooooo Black Summer goes do hard sometimes! Spears' monolog in S2? Fuck that had me crying for a while.
I believe that Black Summer is supposed to be like a prequel to Z-Nation? I could be wrong, I haven't checked, but 'we all changed during Black Summer' is a big thing in that series. I think it's cool that the tone is so drastically different from Z-Nation which doesn't take itself all that seriously
Good video man. I mostly agree with everything you said. I think Shane and dale are the highlights of this season. The only thing I wish season to did was have less episodes I think 8 episodes would definitely be enough. I think they stretch out the Sophia plot for long that it got boring

I think shortening it a bit would be a good idea but striking the balance would be hard. This is the second shortest season of the show already. So trimming the fat could be pretty difficult. But some of me feels like they let this seasons run so long so the mid-season finale could end with the Sofia reveal. At the end of the day the show does exist to get views/ make money so it’s entirely possible that’s why the Sofia plot line lasted so long.

I am sort of new to the series since I had watched some random episodes in the past but never really sat to watch it chronogically. I am about to finish watching season 2 and I am super bored and I don't know if I want to venture into season 3. Nothing relevant happens on season 2. The plot is stuck, it isn't going anywhere.
I highly recommend you watch this show. Personally I'm on season 10 and I didn't care for season 9 at all. But season 3-6 are some of the best Television that is out there. But it is a large time investment. I can confirm for you that this show does indeed get more interesting though!
Take it from someone who’s seen the whole show, it’s hard to get through season 3, but it’s sooooo good.
have you watched z nation? it's kind of like TWD but it doesn't take itself too seriously and it's a more light hearted show. It also has a spin-off called Black Summer but it's not as good in my opinion because it's really inconsistent.
I'm thinking about watching it after I finish TWD universe.

This season was trash, it fcking feels like 1/3 or 1/4 of plot stretched to whole season. Was it the worst season? Prob not.
Season 2 is my favorite tbh
