- In the 25 years since the Columbine High School tragedy, many survivors, victim’s loved ones and community members have embraced the chain reaction the power of kindness and compassion can have. Denver7 spotlights the Beauty that came from Columbine.
25 years today. May the 13 souls that lost their lives on this day rest peacefully.
15 souls

I " just happened" to be in the area that day and found myself at the library where the parents gathered. My "job" was to just stand and pray for 5 hours. I felt angels and such a peace that was "other worldly." Many memories being used to comfort parents. Many emotions. I'm now 80.
I was a sophomore when Columbine happened. Columbine & Covid is something I will never forget.
There was complete silence in our classroom, as we were watching the news 😢
I remember each of the victims, like yesterday 😢
I pray all 13 are resting peacefully that principal was incredible...
"they don't care what you know until they know that you care"

Still brings tears to my eyes
I wish the outside didnt think of the tragedy as soon as they hear 'columbine'. we are a resilient community that is full of love, not defined by evil.
also, please dont try to visit columbine, visit the memorial and leave flowers there, we have countless people treat my school like a tourist attraction. we are a community scared by hatred, but that isnt who we are.
I was in 6th grade and I remember running into language arts saying that there was a school shooting. Never forget
😅😅😂😅😅😅😅😂😅🎉❤😂🎉😂❤😮 4:19
I was still in my last year in high school 99, peace to our loved one's and hereos, the families...
I have watched many videos in an effort to understand what actually happened that day at Columbine. After all i have seen i must be honest and say this is the first video that brought me to tears and a full understanding of the pain still felt all these years later
I can not even begin to imagine nor truly understand what these children and their families went through on that day and every day since.
May God continue to comfort and bless everyone involved in and touched in some way by Columbine.
Hard to believe its been 25 years! I was eating in the mess hall on MCAS Miramar when I heard about it.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice .my son was stationed at Miramar
Out of ashes comes beauty. Isaiah 61:3
This is truly meaningful
😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Mr DeAngelis definitely had an angel watching over him and those girls that day
One millionaire in this country could easily give 10 or 20 grand to fix the memorial.
Lol
I was a junior when all this went down. I was locked down in my art class. That very same day we had a bomb threat which delayed school. Never forget.
I wanna drive to the Columbine High School in the Summer, so I can visit where Rachel Joy Scott sat during her last lunch break. To pay my respect and say a prayer. I didn't get to know her, but I wish I did. She made my Christian faith stronger, to truly repent and give the fullest of my life to Christ. She's forever missed, her life was taken away. But God took her home, her heart was pure and too good for this world.
I’ve thought about these 13 sooo many times over the years so much, at times almost daily. I was in high school when Columbine happened. I remember the day. I remember how I felt, the coverage on tv, the terrible reporting by cnn, the days that followed, the interviews that came out, the pictures on the covers of magazines, the ripple effect it had on high schools throughout the country. My school had bomb threats, and a kid I knew “jokingly” walked into our school library and made threats. Just terrible. He’s in prison now for something else and most likely had a few mental illnesses so I don’t know how much of a joke it was to him as much as he wanted to see how it would go over. Tbh. It was a scary time to be a student and I’m afraid since that day it’s only gotten worse for students. It’s like there’s school before this happened, and school after Columbine. However with all that said I will never forget those students. Ever. They are what we should think about. 🤍🩵💙
There was a shooting where I live in Deming Nm too, I don’t remember what year but I was in high school when someone shot a girl at the junior high. So senseless. He is in prison as far as I know. I was a senior in 99’. Senseless shootings, senseless deaths. So sad.
Yeah i reflect on this every year
The day of the horrible shooting l picked both of my girls up from school (middle & high school) brought them home. l wanted them close to me.
In schools they needed to train the staff ⚕️⚕️ about the school shooting
I understand wanting to be positive, that one guy saying it's a celebration takes the severity of ehat happened away. I don't see it that say, not everyone has gotten to a place of mot grieving. There are more grieving than thos could ever show.
At least their remembered lives lost way to soon rip columbine victims
I have a book it's parts of Rachel's diary I can't remember the name it's copies of her entries She really seemed like a girl wise beyond her years an old soul RIP to All 13 God Bless everyone
15 remember x
I have a similar book!

What happened to the parents of Eric Harris?
they are very private now
Moved away, decided not to give public state.
They haven't given public statements and eventually moved away from the area. Unlike Dylan Kleibold's mother, whom has toured the country as an author and mother still trying to understand why her little boy did this horrible thing
@@jennifer_m.8613she has used her sons terrorism as a way to gaslight the public. That woman failed her son and failed everyone in columbine. Don’t let those Ted talks fool you. She knew more than she outwardly leads on.
@@jennifer_m.8613 I don’t think she’ll ever fully understand cause she can’t admit some mistakes she made. Even if she parented to the best of her ability then, in hindsight there can be things to be learned. But then again I will never be able to understand her position, there must be some sort of lying to yourself to be able to survive such a thing.

What do they think of countries with gun laws
Americans don’t think much
The guns used in this attack were purchased illegally. The laws already covered it…
@@Anemonemona Sounds like you don't think. Hitler took all the guns. I'd rather live with guns.
