spirit beasts are great tenacity pets, but when it comes to ferocity, you WANT a clefthoof. Let me explain if you don't already know: Clefthooves are exotic pets so only BMs can get them, and their passives make them tankier than tenacity pets which makes them THE BEST for world questing or maybe saving your dungeon group by growling the boss long enough for the tank to heal. Predator's thirst with the level 100 talent means 15% leech Thick Hide gives it 60% damage reduction when falling below 40% health and finally Blood of the Rhino (its exotic ability) gives it 10% extra armor and increases healing received by 20% So if you want to be able to pull big groups and have your pet handle it like its nothing, clefthooves are your best friends
This is a great set up, thank you! just got bfa and used a 110 boost token on a hunter as i absolutely adore the new expansion and felt a hunter would really benefit in the environment but it is such a pain to be bombarded with all these specs and placing everything correctly, which is nice to do right the first time XD My build is pretty close to yours so its nice to see i am not too far off, some adjusting and i should be good to go and be able to go and have some fun.

War Mode is a big thing for BM. Dire Beast: Basilisk and Dire Beast: Hawk are crazy good. Basi is huge huge huge on demand damage, Hawk is crazy good damage/focus even on single target. SPIRIT BEAST: Myonix. This deserves a honorary mention for how easy this opens up obtaining a Spirit Beast. Keep in mind it currently does not scale down anymore, it requires level110 to tame. Core Hound: Molten Hide provides an AoE DPS fire shield when hit by melee. Ferocity tanks are super beefy AoE tanks, making Core Hounds absolute champs at what they do. Clefthoofs are pure tanks, and Spirit Beast are for tanking when Hunters will need healing too.
Actually there is a pet that adds more to your DPS than other pets- the Core Hound. If it is being attacked by melee attackers. MOLTEN HIDE- When the core hound takes melee attacks, it infuses its hide with molten lava, causing (8.19% of Attack power) Fire damage to all further melee attackers for 10 sec. Molten Hide can only activate every 60 sec. Obviously only good while doing world content, as in dungeons/raids; the tank is taking the attacks, not your pet
Always have a trusty Core Hound. Not to mention he's ferocity so his leech makes him a very viable tank. When I was ~365 I soloed azzerok in Motherlode with my Core Hound!
As noted below, I did level my hunter and it's 365 now, easily a lot more fun than my mage \o/ Came back to this great vid to check rotation info and have a question. I notice you didn't wait for BW before you cast Murder of Crows. Does this mean that if you cast BW mid-Crows the subsequent ticks will benefit from the dmg increase?
Do you think the second pet talent will become more and more viable with time in bfa, because we will be able to stack more and more mastery with the item curve?
Starting WoW again after 4 years of quitting but going to main my hunter (current lvl 23 with twink gear). Which spec can you recommend, should I go BM for pve? (I choose hunter because I have artheritus and I heard it's less click intensive)
Personally im doing noticeably more dmg as Survival. I've been playing around with BM in case im ever asked to go rdps instead of mdps. However if i want to see my name at the top of the dmg meter in dungeons, its Survival all the way. Fun factor leaves them both about equal for me. Just my 2 cents based on personal experience.
Just to double check, don't you want to Beastial Wrath before you use Murder of Crows? Or does it not matter? Edit: In regard to the first opener that is - also, great video!
I usually use crows before Beastial Wrath, just like I had on the priority list because it opens a global cooldown inside BW for other abilities. In the case of the Opener with the trait(where BW is first), is to fight global cooldowns more than anything so is the exception to that rule.
Hey i wanted to ask about the stat prority. The video says haste then crit. I use AskMrRobot for seeing if i have an upgrade or not. It says i have a good stat distribution with crit being much much higher than the other stats. My ilevel right now is 363 equipped 364 overall. My guild is doing heroic Zul. Im only pulling 10k on that fight. While im mostly on trap duty for the bloodhexers i feel like my dps should be higher for my ilevel. I was wondering if my stat distrubution is off or something. Anyone offer any insight? If you need more info lmk.
Crit is as important as haste, you gonna reach breaking points where haste devalues, so go for what you sim(crit). Crit is great for more wild call procs primarily. The stat weights that I say on my guides are to get a general idea on stats, especially for newly dinged BM's.
@@SelwenG yeah i kinda figured I had hit the soft cap for haste and maybe mastery. Just not used to seeing that much crit since in Legion it was all about mastery iirc. Frankly, I don't care how much it's mocked - I'm so sick of dying all the time as a Mage, being severly punished in terms of dmg by every single movement mechanic (and there are a lot of them), and having zero self heal... Sod it, my hunter is 52 now and I'm so gonna level it to 120. I mean, you can do damage while moving???? You can recharge your resource while moving? Your pet keeps doing dmg while you're dodging beams, swirlies, whatnot...? What more do you need for raiding. Screw intellect buff and table, so sick of the unforgiving playstyle. I'll be very happy with my bow and pet :)

Most of these Mage issues go away the moment you switch off of PvE Arcane. Shimmer is incredible, letting you reposition with 0 change in DPS. As Frost, holding 1 Ice Lance proc lets you save some movable DPS with 0 change in DPS, along with other movable attacks like Instant Flurries, Frost Novas and extra Ice Lances. Fire's movable during Instant Pyros and the entire execute phase is movable with 0 DPS lost WITH speed increase! Arcane's movable rotation works better in PvP imo, but it's mostly Chrono Barrage kiting with Arcane Missile spam. Arcane is my preferred spec for solo PvP, the other 2 are meta in arenas though.

For the young hunter (lvl20) lightning spirit fox called "Lightning Paw" check bushes that have glowing eyes throughout Duskwood. is in stealth, so you may need to get close to detect hidden, or use a flare. Sorry? Which ones would those be? I have every tameable SB in the game and unless I forgot to check with one of the ones I never usually use, they all appear to be tenacity now.
What is the BL talent? Blood Lust = Primal Rage? No SB has that talent due to them all being Tenacity. You might be confusing some "rare" pet as a SB. Devilsaurs, Core Hounds, Chimaeras, Clefthoofs ( all only tamable by BM)
nikola prcic its all about balancing , stats have a diminishing return, stacking something makes it worse from a point and after . but overall, crit offers more dps , and if u dont believe me , check my 96% parses on ghunn hc
Your opener is wrong. Aspect of the wild (prepull with pot) then crows then bestial wrath then kill command THEN first barbed shot. If you do barbed shot second you miss 12 sec cd reduction on bestial wrath
This guide should of been a lot shorter. All you had to say was gird your loins and play the other two specs. They are more fun and people will slightly respect you .

That's interesting and I am 100% with you but my guides are aimed at people that are first learning a spec/class, hence basics, so I don't intend or pretend that if you do everything I say you gonna get 100% parses but as a starting point to play decently and understand what your spec does. Maybe this mistake was big enough to harm this range of players, maybe not but I always direct people to discord's and sources alike when they are ready to take the next spec into mastering the spec, so like you said to stay in the top bracket. On the Binding shot talent is not a stun but a root! - Point stays though, great for m+.
Used to be a stun, was a stupid change TBH.

how are you using a bow as a bm ? I thought you have to use a gun only? (8.3) my artifact weapon is a gun as bm?

As for misderrection i like to just focus my tank and have macroed miss on focus.

Vega Vega it’s a full stealth for 1 minute, no one can see you. 1 minute cd incurs once you leave stealth.

stickybuds420ish yeah low lvl survival is OP as fuck, especially in pvp but when you get to a certain level the survival spec isn’t that good anymore

MoC doesn't get any benefit from BW but Kill Command does.

@@rawand6344 theres more than one official server. Many are high population but you want that. Gives you more people to group and interact with.

Losing my 3 stacks of frenzy triggers me. You need to cast under 1 second. So if you mess up and need to wait a g.c.d you lost frenzy stacks.
Actually you don't have to have 3 stacks that's overthinking it. You can offset by eating haste food and using a elixir.

You forgot that the spirit beast also gives a 20% damage reduction to you and the pet.
Depends on which one. They too have different kinds, you can have a cunning one and one that is a tank both spirit beasts.
All spirit beasts are tenacity now.
Stats priority ??
Bm hunter is stable until clowns complain about it. It is over nerfed
those pesky clowns. First they are out there in the middle of the night scaring people on dark roads now they are messing with BM rotations.
BM is the strongest spec in the game, even after the nerfs.
Alive wrong. Discipline is the strongest spec in the game
For pve. Bm hunter able to get to the top 10 with cool downs after that it's dead.
Pvp is even worse. The damage reduced like 65% which is stupid.

Frenzy buff uptime is much more important than anything else in the rotation. Barbed shot first, always.
