Colorado 14ers: Quandary Peak West Ridge Virtual Hike Trail Guide
Вставка

- I hiked Quandary Peak via the West Ridge in late October 2018. The west ridge is not the standard route and the additional snow presented a lot of challenges through the Class 3 terrain.

Wow, this route is a lot cooler than I thought it was. Thanks for showing this awesome footage!
These guides are friggin awesome! Keep up the good work. Cant wait to get back to Co and continue ticking 14ers off my list!! Subbed!
Albert Manduca Thanks man 🙌🏽 many more to come in the future, hopefully a couple of more this season.
Looks fun
Your reviews are EXCELLENT. Did the East Route this summer (my first 14'er) and it was tough. No way I would do the West Route. Congrats and great video!
Thanks! Yeah, I would recommend the western route for more experienced hikers, especially in the winter.
It looks like you had a great hike! I took the standard route the day before you took this video. It was stunning up there.

Alexander Ratzlaff nice! If you enjoyed quandary, there are a ton of other similar hikes like it in the area.
Breathtaking scenery. I had no idea you could hike in these conditions. Is it more common in that part of the state where there are bigger alpine meadows and seemingly less steep climbs than the San Juans or Sangre De Christos?
Totally depends on the hiker and the snow level. This was earlier in the season when avalanche risk wasn't a concern and the approach was fairly easy. You can hike anywhere in the state year round, things in the Front Range and Ten Mile just tend to have a bit easier TH access. The Sangres are sneaky fairly easy to hike in the winter as well since they typically don't get THAT much snow and it blows A LOT down there.
Tough route specially with snow conditions
The ninja on the mountains agree, def tested a lot of our skills, but a fun day in retrospect.
is always a good day on the mountains
Quite a rock hop either way.
Edward Lobb def, but I would say this way is substantially harder than the standard route.
