How can you not love Eamonn, smart, witty, charming. Lady you did not need to interrupt your guest. Just listen!
She's horrendous
I was thinking the same.
@@laurabrymer4043 iSABEL is lovely and her and Eamon are very good friends, They have a wonderful chemistry and he teases her all the time. It's a very easy watch on the news.
The surgeon who worked on his eyes obviously didn't like him much.
Cracks me up
I knew he was PURE ! Hes such a nice person..bless him.
You knew he was pure??? He's such a nice person. Whoa!!!! So if he hadn't been so called Pure, that would be negative? So he's a nice person because he's not mixed???
@@bethr8756 🐷💩
Pure Celt. This was surprisingly moving.
@@bethr8756Just watched a documentary about Savile, Harris, Glitter, and Stuart Hall. All considered nice men and loved by the public... committed their disgusting acts in plain sight for years, ..very interesting...
This is a very heart-warming story, and I don't mind his co-host joining in on the conversation- imagine if she just sat there grinning.
Surely it's not unusual. I did my DNA with Ancestry and I am also 100% from these islands. My daughter was watching someone in Ireland open their results a while ago and he was 100% Irish.
so was mine
They only go back just over 100 years
You can’t be 100% Irish. They only do 100% Celtic which is what Holmes is.
@@dmvzfdac Actually the Ancestry DNA does state which part of the world your DNA is from. It doesn't say Celtic.
Celts are a 19th century romantic invention
My family has lived in England since at least the early 1800's that i can trace on one side. My DNA shows no English (Angla saxon), which surprised me. 41.3% Scandinavian, 40.5% Irish, Scottish and Welsh, 11.2% Eastern European, 3.5% Baltic and 3.5% Italian. My son is Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Scandinavian. My heritage was cheap, fun and just interesting, though i'm sure it won't be completely accurate as it depends on a database. 👍
Early 1800s is 220 years ago. Around eight generations.
You'd have had 256 six times great grandparents alive then.
Do you know who they all were and who their 512 parents were?
@@stephfoxwell4620 Of course I don't know who they "all" were Steph. That's the whole point of going on My heritage, is to piece it all together with written documents to find out lol
They can only make broad generalisations and once you go back 300+ years it is virtually impossible.
For instance in 1450 you'd have over one million forebears.
So to say you are for instance 5% viking they'd need to know 50,000 of them were Norwegian .
This is hocus pocus.
What my grandad called selling sh*t to fools.
@@stephfoxwell4620 I said it won't be completely accurate in my comment. It's not a big deal for me, it's just fun and interesting and not worth insulting and arguing about lol x
I haven't insulted anyone other than the charlatans extorting money to tell people vague truths.
It may be fun.
But is wildly inaccurate.
I'm similar. My family were so disappointed, nothing exotic, I am 99.9% Northern European, 90% is British.
So are most British Isles whitefolk.
They only go back 100 years more or less
My DNA showed Lancashire 89% with the rest Norwegian (Vikings?!). I'm a born and bred Londoner but I was vaguely aware of the Lancashire connection prior to WWII (after which, my parents settled in London). So, spot on!
My mun, 90 laughed her duck off as your 100%. 🇬🇧❤👵 😊 This was brilliant fun yet scared my end ket, cloned etc, imo. I love your pairing together and all of GB so Thank you for sharing this ✅ xxx
hahahaha I will keep my swabs to myself as well.
I just love EAMONN. Biden doesn’t know who he is never mind who his relatives are!🎈🇺🇸🎈
I know right! hahahaha how did you get the little us there? I couldn't find it when I looked. υ₷
So, there are indigenous people of our islands?
Who knew?
Ask Lawrence "There's no such thing as native British " Fox.
( A tweet he later took down)
According to my DNA I'm 100% native British.
Cat. That is near impossible.
The highest levels of Ancient Briton dna is in Wales. About 65%.
Most are 25% Anglo-Saxon with tiny bits of Dane, Italian and Spanish.
@@stephfoxwell4620 The Viking influence on DNA would be mainly on the east coast and the north. Not many would have Spanish (from the Armada I assume). Anyway the only reason I did mine was to confirm that my grandfather actually was my grandfather (apparently my grandmother was a bit 'loose' back in the day!)
I have a family tree. It goes back far enough for me.
This guest, Myko Clelland from MyHeritage, has a very engaging personality. He seems to have a similar accent and cheeky smile to the comedian/musician Jasper Carrott (who was raised in Acocks Green, Birmingham). Any relation?
Show that to Dianne Abbot and tell her to say there’s no indigenous to Britain!
Eamonn Holmes isn’t from Britain
Ive done My Heritage and Ancestry test. Its a fantastic thing to do.
It is interesting, but wildly inaccurate beyond 10 generations.
About 280 years.
Let Eammon talk please..its about him !
She doesn't stop interrupting with nonsense.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Eamonn Holmes - - A Charming Honest Man - - One of the BEST
I think we already knew that Eamonn is a one off. 😀
I did Ancestry and I have 10% Irish, they came from Cashel, Tipperary and Roscommon. I do share dna with quite a few people who are 100% Irish.
You are NOT 'Irish'.
@@uingaeoc3905 Tell that to the 'Irish Americans' who are many generations away from their Irish ancestors. There are probably more people of Irish descent in the UK than there are in the USA as many Irish moved to the UK.
💚You Eamon!
I had my dna done 2 years ago and I'm pretty much the same as Eamon. I come from Belfast too and my family lived on the Newtonards Rd as well. .
I'm 95% with the 5% being from French Huguenot origin.
❤️
wonder how much they paid for this advertisement
Mike Graham: "there is no such thing as native Brits".
;-)
How fascinating
Spanish armada ? They didn't invade.
This is an urban myth in Ireland.
There is Spanish dna there, but from Iberian traders around 1,000 BC.
Spaniards unlucky enough to be shipwrecked in 1588 were murdered on the beaches or taken prisoner.
400 were repatriated in 1589.
Éamonn, just for the record i never doubted you were 100% Paddy. Good on ya boy. Nice to see an Irishman on GB news too, plenty southerners like myself tune in to hear sense being spoken. Nice to see Arlene Foster there too even if i wouldn't agree with her on everything, ( politically ), but she's a proud Christian British Irishwoman and i enjoy listening to her. Keep up the good work all of ye at GB.
you can pick your friends but you cant pick your family 😂
Good for her, keep your DNA to yourself... trust no-one
Jeez Eamon just met this girl and insulted her already 😅
100% pure. Lucky Eamonn.
Impossible.
What? Why is that lucky??? Whoa these comments are sooo racist!!!
@@bethr8756 🐷💩
@@bethr8756 what an ignorant comment!! Do we all need to be mixed so we’re not considered racists. I also think he is very lucky, being pure english is quite a privilege knowing the history of this country. (I’m not english btw but I appreciate its language, culture, people, history everything).
@@Lyuoe56 what ignorant comment...oh you mean yours.😂
Does that mean Eamonn's parents, grand parents, great grandparents etc, would all have the same results?
It would have to , wouldn't it? To be 100% anything.
Right back to the Irish Common Ancestor point around 1300.
99.5% of his millions of forebears would have to be pure Irish.
No Scots, Welsh,Cornish,Danes etc.
His parents may not necessarily have full Irish DNA but both his parents Irish DNA could have been passed down to Eamonn making 100% Irish.
How do you know his parents were 100% Irish.
As I say, it is impossible.
@@stephfoxwell4620 Celts, not Irish. Just like 90% of the rest of the British isles.
Celts is a term invented by the romantics around 1780.
You mean Ancient Britons.
The 18 tribes who came here between 1400 BC and 400 BC
Proper Brit….Eamonn is our leader.🇬🇧
He's Irish.
@@stephfoxwell4620 British, from Belfast.
I believe you will find he is Irish.
@@bernadettequinn446 Ireland was part of Britain, and in fact Ireland is still in the British Isles.
@@El.Cid17the British isles is not a real place.
🇬🇧🏴 Trust good old " A " to tell it how it is .
These tests are a load of crap! One of my children’s came back with loads of different ethnicities and the other was pure Irish/Scottish!! It’s just impossible for this to be the case!! Impossible!!! Don’t waste your money!!! They couldn’t even find my parents and I can find them by hopping on the local bus!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Canadian dude who does the Useful Charts channel sent his dna to eight of these companies.
He got eight different results.
I did my DNA with ancestry and its real. Came up with my son, cousins, 1st cousins 1 removed. When I contacted some of them, we had same mother, their great grandmother was my mother's brother. So many were traced to my mum or my father, so it's real believe me 😊
@@Einstein852 I think you need to re-read what you just wrote!!! Or maybe you’re taking the mick?? 🤣🤣
@@stephfoxwell4620 you see! Load of rubbish!
It goes by the markers in your DNA tru
Eamonn is amazing..🌸
Holmes is from N Ireland so most likely to have Scots dna.
Like most British he will be 20% Anglo-Saxon, 50% Ancient Briton.
The Vikings left very little trace.
Smash and grab lol
Not if he was from the green side, which he is.
Foxwell is from the gae community that hates all that is decent
Apart from here in Yorkshire. We have twice the amount of Scandinavian/Norse DNA than the rest of the country does.
Yorkshire ,alongside the Home Counties has the highest amount; f Anglo-Saxon dna.
Vikings left very little trace in Britain other than Shetland and Orkney.
Maybe 2-5%.
Nawwww l just love Eamon 🇬🇧❤❤🇬🇧👍🤷♀️
Wow 😮
I also tested 100% irish with my heritage, so not that rare!
Virtually impossible to be 100% Irish.
Agree, my Dad's family did their DNA, all came back Irish with nothing else. So not that rare.
There are nine different dna groups in Ireland and two of these are Scottish.
Maybe 6% Viking and 4% Anglo-Saxon dna too, plus the usual 3% neanderthal that we all carry.
It is impossible to be 100% Irish.
These heritage firms are ripping people off.
I’m 88.5% I thought that was pretty good 😀
@@stephfoxwell4620 Fun fact: Bleak people have 0% Neaderthal in them. Every other race has 3%.
My dna is on My heritage and Ancestry, if he had his test with Ancestry they would of broken down the Irish, Scots and Welsh, on Ancestry I am 74% Scots and 26% Irish, my Heritage just has the whole lot in one group! I might add that I am Northern Irish, and in the last 4 generations of my ancestors, not one born in Scotland.
Warning do not use any of those DNA or trace your ancestor companies.❌
Correct. Snake oil salesmen.
They can only go as far back as just over 100 years ago, nothing more
They go to 1837. Then make broad guesses.
@@STRANGERINMOSCOW1 The Government are said to be behind those companies I will leave you to guess why.
My family name is English however turned out i'm - 90% Scottish and 10% Irish.
Again. Very unlikely.
How far back did you go?
Ten generations is 1,024 forebears about 300 years ago.
Hah I’m Scottish but I get
Scotland 46%
England & Northwestern Europe 38%
Norway 9%
Wales 5%
Ireland 2%
I bet you enjoy braveheart more now
Most lowland Scots are 20% Anglo-Saxon at least.
@@stephfoxwell4620 it’s from my mums side from what I’ve looked into they lived in a small village in Suffolk going to back to the 1500s from what I’ve found out so far
Eamonn is true Irish not even any % British
His vague dna map covers Devon, Scotland and Wales.
Pureblood.
No such thing ,except in places like Iceland or Tonga.
If you have swarthy colouring in Ireland it more likely to be rust than Spanish ancestry -Sun stroke is rare with Irish weather -rust much more common .!!!
Peat stains.
wow
Remember, no mudbloods
So am I Irish.
Eamonn back to replace schofield the kiddy fiddler on tv
Eamon you are the same as me and it's because we are Irish DNA. I am entirely untouched as well. People always tell me I look Spanish so the original Irish must have had dark hair and eyes etc...
I think the first were black skinned but we are related to the original people on these isles.
I did 23andme test
Would she ever be quiet!
Seriously she keeps interrupting.
Learn to listen.
😂😂 i got mine from the same place you got urs Eamonn i was the very identical 100 irish scottish and welsh so mines is rare as well
true Emerald isle folk
Isabel is absolutely stunning
In her vacuously casual arrogance.
She has an oversized forehead.
Good on you Eammon, the rest of us are you are foreigners !!!
Love to Phil 👍He has not killed anyone so itv needs to look after it's presenters. 🇬🇧🏳️🌈
He said wherever you are in the world ypu can do the same. Nope! I mive in France. Home D.N.A. testing is illegal. They cannot be ordered , e.g. grom Amaeon, for home delivery either. A message ," can' t deliver to France" apoears.
My DNA shows 100% irish
Yeah like Eamonn Holmes too.
A true Paddy
There's no such thing as a true Paddy. They were slaughtered centuries ago by the invading Celts.
@@Warriorking.1963
Stop making up crap. DNA shows that modern Irish people can trace back their heritage thousands of years.
@@Warriorking.1963 That’s rubbish a Neolithic body 6000 years old was found and tested in Co Clare … they then tested the local people, and school kids …….. and a huge amount of them were actual ancestors of this Neolithic person ….most of my family whom took these DNA tests have come back 100 Irish and Britain
Oh BS MsMilliemay. What I said isn't even considered controversial! The Celts arrived in Ireland around 1000BC, they called themselves "Gaelic", which means "Foreign Invader", to distinguish themselves from the people they were murdering and enslaving.
As for the Neolithic DNA in the "huge amount" of those tested in Co Claire, well nobody claimed the Celts were ever against a little - how shall I put it - "forced socialising" with their slaves.
Unfortunately I can't post links on UA-cam, but even the most basic search on Google should confirm what I said.
@@Warriorking.1963
Seriously stop embarrassing yourself, modern Irish people can trace back there ancestry through DNA thousands of years. The celts didn't replace anyone, they became part of Irish culture, just like the Vikings and Normans.
My son in law is 100% Irish ☘️
This is vanishingly rare.
Impossible really.
One man's word - "Don't worry your DNA won't be used for anything else" lol
Aye right!
Nothing more than an elaborate data collection initiative.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😉😉
Me,me,me......Eamonn is becoming tiresome. He’s the most male chauvinist on tv today.
I think if I should have my DNA done, unless, and then I thought, why my grandmother was born in Africa. What had certain members done to earn their reputation, better ket sleeping dogs LIE.
You will be cloned Amen
Yup, me too British
Could you imagine 😂
Allegedly, Who D You Think You Are tried to get Eammon onto the programme, but unfortunately they found nothing that was entertaining enough to make a programme. Top bloke though. Catch yourself on.
Big e is a pureborn llf
Sounds like inbreeding to me. 🤣
Inevitable.
Northern Ireland had only 1.4 million people a hundred years ago. Spilt into two communities.
Go back just nine generations they'd all be related.
Oh no he didn't say tainted in any way!!??
No jews
TAINTED??? Whoa sounds racist!!
Grow up.
inbred then ?
Whats he done to his face. Looks plastic 😮
No one as far as you Eamon RUNS in the familh.

My dog is 100% Yorkshire as he is a Yorkshire Terrier all this crap about DNA is laughable we all have a bit of different DNA in us 🥱
Yes. Dna is only statistically reliable to nine generations, which is 270 years ago.
