    Thanks for sharing! I just started experimenting with cat eye gels. Can you recommmend any that dont have this gray base?

    • @memnailss
      @memnailss  Рік тому +5

      Sure thing! Varnail, Sissi Nails, Daily Charme, Glossify and some of Madam Glam's cat eye gels all seem to have sheer bases. I think it gets difficult to have a sheer base with multi-shade cat eye polishes, because it's a mix of magnetic pigments rather than a silver magnetic pigment mixed with a clear or jelly gel. Hope that helps

    Yeah, I don't think I'll ever get tired of cat eye gels either lol. With the magnets, I think some are stronger than others and maybe that's why different people gravitate toward different ones? 🤷‍♀️ Just my theory. This video has helped me immensely though! I have a fancy-ish Xmas dinner to attend this weekend and was really stuck on what to do to my nails. Didn't want my usual "more is more" kind of style. Now I'm pretty sure I'm going to do a design like you did on your ring nail! I think it'll go perfectly with my planned outfit! ❤❤❤

    Stunning 🥰.. you've got some perfect nail beds..mine are so tiny and I just got into nail stamping.. I ended up getting the Moyra stamper that you can shrink/enlarge the images.. I had a baby girl in February so I haven't got to try it out yet.. I have some Mizhse cat eye gels from Amazon and I absolutely love them and if you haven't tried Supwee that is another good brand I've gotten a few different sets and wasn't disappointed in any of them.. ☺️💞

    Love these cat eyes. I struggle with them. What do you mean by activating the pigments? Can you explain that for me? Perhaps that’s what I am doing wrong.

    • @memnailss
      @memnailss  8 місяців тому +1

      Sure thing! To my knowledge, cat eye polish is a combination of gel and magnetic pigments (coloured magnet powder). The magnetic pigments lay flat in the gel polish like regular glitter pigments until you use a magnet to activate them and move them into your desired design. Hope that helps 🫶🏾

      Have you happened to try different magnets.. I've heard people say they couldn't get the magnets to work so they tried a refrigerator magnet and they finally got some good movement.. also if you don't like what you get with your magnets you don't need to add more product just brush over the nail and it'll spread the pigment back out

    I’m not a professional nail tech, are these difficult? Regular magnetic nail polish, the design bleeds after a day or two. With a gel magnetic polish does the design have staying power? I typically wear my nails two weeks, will they last that long?

    • @memnailss
      @memnailss  8 місяців тому +1

      My recommendation is that you watch a bunch of tutorials so you cab find a technique that works for you. I was rubbish my first try then I suddenly got the hang of it. The pattern you make with gel magnetic polishes will absolutely last as long as you like. I just removed a set I had on for four weeks yesterday and it looked exactly the same.
