I do hesitate to blame poor Wanjikū 100% for the predicament she found herself in at the end of the Uhuruto reign. Though wanting, we must not forget that her life is very hard, what with poverty and literary "tied to the soil", or her offspring "tied to the slums" in Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nairobi Mombasa and numreous other urban areas. The difference between Central Kenya and their national cousins elsehere in Kenya was they had formed high expectations of Jubilee and Uhuru that their living and job conditions would improve in return to their loyalty to the government which tjey had been made to believe "serikali si ni yenu"?
Their socioeconomic welfare had not improved at all at the end of Uhurus presidency.
Then comes in rebellious Ruto and his tangatanga gang relentlessly pounding Uhuru and high voltage lies or propaganda about everything apart from their thirst for power. The disenchanted masses intoxicated with the hustler drug and millionaire daydreaming dumped their embattled Kamwana for the devil they did not know. Now they know their tax demanding and collecting Zakayo.
That Zakayo is a creation of and actualization of Uhuru seems more probable than arguing that Zakayo is a creation and actualization of Uhuru's backyard.
However it is also more predictable than not predictable that the now multiple disappointed hustlers or ordinary citizens can't wait to for the day to shave Ruto with the same wembe that they shaved Uhuru's post presidency wishes.
